Abstract

 ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the correlation between social support and academic anxiety in students compiling their thesis during the COVID-19 Pandemic Period in Even Semester Academic Year 2019/2020. Probability sampling with simple random sampling was used as the sampling technique in this study. The research subjects were 100 students. This research is a quantitative study with a validity test of the product-moment correlation technique. Academic Anxiety scale test shows a moving validity from 0.233 to 0.534 with 43 valid items with a reliability of 0.886. On the Social Support scale, it has a moving validity from 0.211 to 0.554 with 45 valid items. Based on the results of the Product Moment correlation hypothesis test, it shows a correlation value of -0.600 with p of 0.000 (p0.01) on the scale of social support and academic anxiety scale. It can be concluded that the hypothesis stating there is acorrelation between social support and academic anxiety is accepted. Keywords: Academic Anxiety; Social Support, Final-year Student

Abstract

 This study was aimed to determine the effect of grit and learning motivation on academic procrastination on students of Mts N 1 Banyumas who were doing online learning. The respondents for this study were eighth-grade students from Mts N 1 Banyumas, consisted of 84 students. The results of data analysis using multiple linear regression revealed that grit obtained an effect on academic procrastination, with t obs= -15.306 and the probability value of sig. (p) = 0.000 (p0.05), indicating that the hypothesis was accepted and the regression equation y = 141,415+(-607x) indicating that there was a significant effect. The result of the regression equation was y =121,697 +(- 0,597). The regression analysis of the effect of grit and learning motivation on academic procrastination obtained f obs= 131.445 and probability sig (p) = 0.000 (p0.05), indicating that grit and learning motivation had an effect on academic procrastination among Mts N 1 Banyumas students. The research obtained an R square of 0.764, indicating that grit and learning motivation successfully contributed 76.4% to academic procrastination, whereas 23.6% was a contribution from other factors not examined.

Abstract

Indonesia terkenal dengan adat ketimurannya yang masih dipertahankan hingga saat ini, termasuk norma-norma yang diatur di dalamnya seperti norma agama, norma kesopanan, norma kesusilaan, dan norma hukum. Yang menjadi sorotan dengan salah satu kasus pelanggaran terbanyak adalah norma kesusilaan. Oleh karena itu, peneliti memilih peserta didik sebagai subjek dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh virginitas terhadap intensi seks pra nikah dengan religiuitas sebagai variabel moderator pada peserta didik perempuan di sekolah X Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian  berjumlah 108 peserta didik perempuan di sekolah X Kabupaten Banyumas. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen skala virginitas, skala intensi seks pra nikah dan skala religiusitas. Koefisien validitas item pada skala virginitas bergerak dari 0,160 sampai 0,737, koefisien validitas intensi seks pra nikah bergerak dari 0,202 - 0,782 dan koefisien validitas skala religiusitas bergerak dari 0,690 - 0,719. Koefisien reliabilitas skala virginitas sebesar 0,725 kemudian koefisien reliabilitas skala intensi seks pra nikah sebesar 0,717 dan koefisien reliabilitas skala religiusitas sebesar 0,706. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh virginitas terhadap intensi seks pra nikah dengan religiusitas sebagai variabel moderator. Berdasarkan hasil analisis juga diperoleh hasil koefisien determinasi Rsquare sebesar 0,494 nilai tersebut mengandung arti bahwa dalam penelitian ini virginity value dan religiusitas memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 49,4% terhadap intensi seks pra nikah, sedangkan 51,6% merupakan sumbangan dari dari faktor lain (faktor yang tidak diteliti).

Abstract

Adapting to new environments plays a crucial role in enhancing students' enthusiasm for learning. This study investigates the effects of social support and self-adjustment on learning motivation among international students from outside Java who are studying in Banyumas Regency. Using a quantitative approach, the research employed scales to measure social support, self-adjustment, and learning motivation. The study sampled 150 international students in their second semester. The measurement instruments included a learning motivation scale (reliability = 0.716), a social support scale (reliability = 0.724), and a self-adjustment scale (reliability = 0.784). Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to evaluate the impact of social support and self-adjustment on learning motivation. The findings revealed a significant effect, with an Fvalue of 3.129 and a significance level (p) of 0.047 (p < 0.05), indicating that both social support and self-adjustment have a positive influence on learning motivation. The results underscore the importance of fostering robust social support systems and facilitating effective self-adjustment strategies for international students. Institutions should consider implementing targeted support programs to enhance social integration and self-adjustment skills. This may include mentorship programs, peer support groups, and workshops focused on cultural adaptation and personal development.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the self-adjustment of adolescents living with the stepfather. The research focuses on the self-adjustment of adolescents who live with the stepfather. The research method is qualitative with case study approach. There are two participants, adolescents living with a stepfather, and two informants, the participants family and close friends. Data credibility uses source triangulation, by comparing the obtained data of each source, and technique triangulation, by comparing the obtained data from several different techniques from the same sources. The research result discusses and relates the aspects of self-adjustment with the researchers finding. The result from both participants shows that they can adjust themselves with their new environment, accept and adjust themselves with the situation, have a future vision, and have the ability to face problems.

Abstract

Dimasa pandemi covid-19 hampir seluruh kegiatan dilakukan secara online yang memberi dampak dalam aspek pendidikan. Kegiatan tersebut membuat remaja banyak menghabiskan waktu terus menerus menggunakan  internet. Hal ini memberi dampak  negatif pada remaja yakni kecenderungann  kecanduan internet. Efikasi diri dapat berperan sebagai usaha atau upaya individu dalam menghadapi permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan Antara Efikasi Diri dengan Kecanduan Internet pada Remaja di Masa Pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan propotionate stratified random sampling. Alat ukur yakni skala efikasi diri dan Internet Addiction Test. Subjek remaja berjumlah 154. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada Hubungan Antara Efikasi Diri dengan Kecenderungan Kecanduan Internet pada Remaja dengan menunjukkan hasil signifikan dan negatif. Berdasarkan dari hasil analisis uji korelasi product moment diperoleh korelasi r = - 0,638 dengan p = 0,000 (p < 0,01).

Abstract

This research aims to identify the difference of academic anxiety reviewed from age on semester 8 students of the Elementary Teacher Education Department in Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The research hypothesis is that there is a difference in academic anxiety reviewed from age on semester 8 students of the Elementary Teacher Education Department in Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The 70 research subjects from semester 8 students of Elementary Teacher Education in Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto was taken through incidental sampling. The used scale is an academic anxiety scale. The data were analyzed using T-test with SPSS 22.00 for the Windows program. The result of the hypothesis test shows that the t-count is 3.226,t-table is 1.99547 with p=0.002 (p 0.05). This is strengthened by the average value of academic anxiety of students aged 21-22 years old of 116.89. Meanwhile, the average value of academic anxiety of students aged 23-24 years old of 102.25. The research result shows that there is a difference of academic anxiety reviewed from age on semester 8 students of Elementary Teacher Education Department in Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto.

Abstract

This study explores self-disclosure among adolescents engaged in interfaith friendships. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews with four purposively sampled adolescent females. Analytical techniques included pattern matching, expansion generation, and time series analysis, with source triangulation employed to ensure credibility. The study identified five main themes of self-disclosure in these interfaith friendships: honesty, accuracy, amount, frequency and duration, depth, intent, and the positive-negative nature. Additional themes included the process of self-disclosure, the duration of the friendship, trust, tolerance, and joint activities. The findings suggest that self-disclosure in interfaith adolescent friendships involves sharing and learning about each other's religions, which fosters greater appreciation and tolerance of religious diversity. Future research should examine the long-term effects of self-disclosure in interfaith friendships on adolescents' social and psychological well-being.

Abstract

The decision between prioritizing home responsibilities or career aspirations has become a significant issue for women globally, impacting their quality of life. This quantitative study employs a cross-sectional design to explore the effects of self-esteem and marital satisfaction on the quality of life among non-working housewives. A purposive sampling method was used to select participants, and data were analyzed using multiple regression techniques. The findings reveal a significant relationship between self-esteem and quality of life, as well as between marital satisfaction and quality of life. Both self-esteem and marital satisfaction are found to significantly influence the quality of life of housewives. Future research should explore the impact of additional factors such as social support networks and personal aspirations on quality of life. Additionally, interventions aimed at strengthening self-esteem and marital relationships could provide valuable insights into improving overall well-being for this demographic.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of perceived organizational support on turnover intentions. The sample of this study amounted to 95 subjects. The data collection method in this study used the Perceived Organizational Support Scale, and the Turnover Intentions Scale. The data analysis technique used is to test the outer model and inner model using the SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of the analysis show that There is an influence of perceived organizational support on turnover intentions as indicated by a T-value of 2.643 and a statistic of 2.643. P-Value 0.008. In this study, the conditions for convergent validity, discriminant validity and reliability were met. In conclusion, there is an effect of perceived organizational support on turnover intentions.
