Front office is an important core in hotel, because the front office is the first to provide services to hotel visitors. Abstract

Model pembelajaran Blended Learning adalah pada dasarnya merupakan gabungan keunggulan pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara tatap-muka dan secara virtual. Pada situasi saat ini dimana seluruh dunia dilanda pandemic covid-19 yang membuat pertemuan tatap muka tidak dapat dilakukan demi pencegahan penyebaran virus, maka pembelajaran jarak jauh merupakan alternative untuk tetap melaksanakan proses pembelajaran dengan aman, meskipun situasi terbaru sudah beberapa sekolah maupun lembaga pendidikan non formal yang sudah memulai pembelajaran tatap muka secara bertahap dan terbatas dengan mengikuti aturan ketat protokoler kesehatan. Oleh karena itu penting bagi tenaga pendidik meKemajuan teknologi saat ini memberikan berbagai pilihan bagi pendidik dalam melaksakan pembelajaran yang aktif, menarik, efektif, dan interaktif secara online dengan tetap memaksimalkan keberhasilan tujuan pembelajaran. Berbagai media pembelajaran (platform) interaktif telah banyak tersedia untuk medukung pendidik dan murid mendapatkan fleksibilitas dalam memilih waktu dan tempat untuk mengakses pembelajaran. Melihat berbagai manfaat dari model pembelajaran blanded learning dengan memanfaatkan berbagai platform interaktif tentulah tenaga pendidik harus mampu mengaplikasikannya dengan benar dan maksimal, maka diperlukan pelatihan mengoperasikan berbagai platform pembelajaran online seperti google meet, zoom meet, quiziz dan lain-lain. Pelaksanan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret – Agustus 2021 dengan 20 peserta selaku staf pengajar di bimbingan belajar insan cendikia gemilang.Kata kunci: Blended Learning, Media Interaktif, Guru Bimbingan Belajar

Abstract

ABSTRACT                The purpose of this research is implementing of English textbook of Problem Based Learning for Junior High School Class VII as the implementation of Curriculum 2013. This research is the continuation of the previous research about evaluation of English Textbook Entitled When English Rings the Bell for Junior High School class VII as the Implementation of Curriculum 2013. Participants of this research were teachers and students at SMP N 31 Padang. These activities consist of two terms. At the first term of this activity, Researchers introduced models of excercises problem based learning by explaining the materials related to problem based learning. Then, at the second activity of this term was teams of this research guide the teachers to create Lesson Plan of Problem based learning. This lesson plan created by the teacher, then team submitted to be analyzed and revised by the teachers. Keywords: Model, problem based learning ABSTRAK                Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah menerapkan latihan problem based learning untuk siswa kelas VII SMP sebagai salah satu implementasi kurikulum 2013. Kegiatan ini merupakan lanjutan dari pengabdian sebelumnya tentang evaluasi buku teks Bahasa Inggris SMP kelas VII implementasi kurikulum 2013. Peserta yang terlibat dalam pengabdian ini adalah guru-guru dan siswa di SMPN 31 Padang. Pengabdian ini terdiri dari dua bahagian. Bahagian pertama merupakan tahapan pemberian model latihan berbasis problem kepada siswa-siswa dan guru. Sedangkan pada tahapan kedua adalah penugasan pembuatan RPP kepada Guru-guru SMPN 31 Padang. RPP tersebut dikumpulkan kepada tim pengadian. Tim pengabdian memeriksanya dan memberikan saran perbaikan kepada guru-guru tersebut. Keywords; : Model, problem based learning

Abstract

This activity aims to improve the understanding of the Tiban Mas children that physics or science subjects are not only memorized but with an understanding of concepts. This service activity is carried out with the stages of providing material but not directly formulating but followed by demonstration of practical tools and simple simulations on the material by utilizing developing technology. The basic principle is to directly invite the children of the Tiban Mas Residence to demonstrate the application of the physics concepts discussed. In addition, simulations are also shown that stimulate the children of the Tiban Mas Residence to be able to think that what they do every day is always related to physics or science. The technique used in this service activity is carried out in several ways including pretest, interview (focus group discussion), concept giving, through experimental studies (props and practicum), and post test. The results of the pretest showed the results of the means 53.83, after the service activities were carried out, it was continued with the posttest whether there was an increase in the value and the means obtained were 69.16. This service activity involves not only one scientific field but a combination of the fields of physics and engineering. The need for physical science is prioritized for understanding concepts. Meanwhile, engineering science focuses on the effectiveness of the design which includes assembling, installing and experimenting with props and simulations that will be made. This scientific amalgamation increases understanding which can be seen in the increase in posttest scores.

Abstract

Game-based Learning menjadi salah satu cara memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan keikutsertaan kolaborasi peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Aplikasi Kahoot sebagai platform teknologi pembelajaran mengkombinasikan pengalaman evaluasi pembelajaran dengan mengkombinasikan melalui game interaktif dan dilengkapi sistem monitoring aktifitas para peserta didik. Dengan semakin berkembangnya alat teknologi, penggunaan alat evaluasi dengan basic teknologi ini memberi dampak yang positif, karena peserta didik akan antusias dalam mengikut pembelajaran. Pegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melatih guru-guru dalam merancang evaluasi pembelajaran online berbasis game yang menarik bagi siswa.

Abstract

Learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Padang has not achieved the expected results, this can be seen from the scores of students who are still much below the KKM. One of the causes is the lack of students' understanding of the learning material. For this reason, teacher skills are needed in developing teaching materials so that students can understand the material well. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to hold Community Partnership Program (PKM) activities by guiding and providing training to teachers of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Padang designing handouts on the subjects they forgive.

Abstract

Peran guru profesional dalam pembelajaran sangat penting sebagai kunci keberhasilan belajar peserta didik dan menghasilkan lulusan yang berkualitas. Guru profesional adalah guru yang kompeten dalam membangun dan mengembangkan proses pembelajaran yang baik dan efektif sehingga dapat menghasilkan peserta didik yang pintar dan pendidikan yang berkualitas. Kualitas pembelajaran juga perlu diukur dengan penilaian yang berorientasi pada Keterampilan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi atau Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Berdasarkan hasil riset dan observasi yang telah dilakukan oleh beberapa ahli, ditemukan bahwa guru-guru masih kesulitan dalam menciptakan dan membuat soal-soal yang dapat meningkatkan daya nalar siswa dan kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi siswa atau yang berbasis HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill). Oleh karena itu pembekalan mengenai konsep task berorientasi HOTS masih perlu dilaksanakan. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMP N 21 Padang kepada guru-guru Bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam 2 tahap yaitu pemberian materi mengenai teknik penilaian berbentuk task yang berorientasi HOTS serta perancangan teknik penilaian berbentuk task yang berorientasi HOTS. Kegiatan ini bermanfaat bagi guru terutama guru Bahasa Inggris untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka mengenai bentuk dan teknik penilaian berorientasi HOTS.

Abstract

Establishing literacy habits cannot be obtained in one or two days, it takes a habituation that is repeated and consistent. This habituation can start from the child's first social environment, the family. In addition, the school can provide support by being a mediator or facilitator. Therefore, this PKM was carried out with the aim of encouraging literacy habits at home and school, with PAUD Matahari Cipayung as the partners and students and their parents as targets. The PKM activity was carried out for three months, and the results of the activity showed that most parents had a high awareness of the importance of literacy skills for children, besides that there were also significant changes in the interaction patterns of children and parents which were more communicative and interactive. Overall, it can be concluded that this PKM activity is able to achieve the expected target, the creation of literacy habits in early childhood

Abstract

Entrepreneurial development in Indonesia is still limited. The phenomenon in Indonesia is that the majority of high school graduates (61.88%) prefer to be employees rather than being entrepreneurs. In line with this, it is necessary to have entrepreneurship training from an early age to community groups such as orphans. Providing entrepreneurial training for orphanage children because they need to have the skills to train an independent spirit in addition to training financial independence from an early age in children. Based on the above background, a dedication was carried out on Building Financial Independence for Children at LKSA Orphanage Al Hidayah Padang Orphanage through Training for Cultivation of Straw Mushrooms (Volvariella volvacea). Mushrooms can grow on waste media, because fungi are able to degrade organic waste. With this ability, mushrooms can be used to add value to waste. Waste that can be converted into a mushroom growing medium is rice straw, but the straw needs to go through a composting process first. Mushrooms are included in the saprophytic fungus group, namely fungi that grow on organic substrates from dead animals and plants and convert the substrate into substances that are easily absorbed. This service is also expected to increase students' knowledge and knowledge so that they can motivate them to open their own jobs without having to depend on others and also be expected to be an example for others. Besides, it is hoped that with the completion of this service, it can increase the child's care for the environment by being able to utilize the wasted waste and produce something useful.

Abstract

Training of Qasidah Sanggar Seniors Group "Durian Sabatang" Jorong Durian Kamang Mudik Kab. Agam is an activity of community service, which aims to build and develop Islamic life in society based on Islamic values as praised by Allah SWT because it seems that some people abandon the teachings of Islam. This devotion is also based on the lack of knowledge of artists in Qasidah. Methodologically this devotion is qualitative, meaning that the Qasidah activity data obtained on the ground is done through research observations that are useful for knowing, understanding, and studying in depth. So that accurate results are obtained to be given the next training well according to the science, ability and ability of participants. It is then described in writing through words and compiled in a scientific report. Methods used: survey methods, lecture methods, demonstration methods, imitation methods, practice methods, and question and answer methods. The results that have been achieved in the form of reports, and the show uploaded to youtube named emridawati. Specifically, the achievements of this training are, Qasidah players get knowledge and professional playing skills as evidenced through Qasidah performances at Tirtasari Jorong Sonsang attractions, such as: giving birth to a good sound aesthetic, stable tempo, can start and close the show while singing and maintaining cohesiveness in playing together. The show received an audience response to be re-displayed at a later time.
