Abstract

Previous research has found that women with infertility feel sad, anxious, and stressed when undergoing medical interventions to have children. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of mindfulness based stress reduction(MBSR) in reducing infertility stress. This research was conducted with an experimental method. This study consisted of five (5) participants as the experiment group and five (5) participants as the control group, which were selected by purposive sampling technique. The characteristics of the research partcipants were married women for at least one (1) year and experienced infertility. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the posttest scores and the pretest scores in the experimental group. The results also showed that there was no significant difference between the posttest infertility stress scores of the experimental group and the control group posttest scores.

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic requires students to take Distance Learning (PJJ). So that demands to be able to adapt and have self-regulated learning. SAT (Self-Regulation, Assertiveness, and Time Management) training aims to increase the learning independence of students with a Samin cultural background. The subjects used were 14 junior high school students in Tanduran Hamlet, Kemantren Village, Kedungtuban District, Blora Regency. The method used is a quasi experiment with pre-experimental research design type one group pretest and posttest design. The measuring tool used is the scale of learning independence. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in students' learning independence scores after participating in the SAT training with the local wisdom of the Samin community. SAT training with local wisdom of the Samin community is quite effective in increasing students' learning independence.

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 demands that human resources have quality in various aspects of life so that they can continue to compete in employment. Based on this, human resources must have work readiness in order to be able to face the changes that occur. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of personality development training as a step in increasing work readiness of students of SMK Negeri 5 Samarinda in facing the industrial revolution 4.0. This research uses one group pretest posttest design. The subjects involved in this study were 30 students of SMK Negeri 5 Samarinda. Data were collected using a work readiness scale. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-test. The results show that personality development training is effective in increasing the level of work readiness of students of SMK Negeri 5 Samarinda

Abstract

Teenagers living in orphanages have limited parental assistance during their sexual development, putting them at risk of premarital sexual behavior. Psychoeducation, which involves providing information and training skills, has been widely known as a psychological intervention but has not been widely used to address sexual behavioural problems in adolescents. The purpose of this study is to find out if interventions in the form of psychoeducation can reduce premarital sexual behavior in young men living in orphanages. The research method uses quasi-experimentation with one group pretest-posttes design. Research subjects numbered 6 people selected using purposive sampling with the criteria of adolescents aged 15-19 years, living in the orphanage X Boyolali, conducting premarital sexual behavior. The research instruments used a scale of sexual behavior with data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study showed that psychoeducation is effective for lowering premarital sexual behavior in adolescents

Abstract

Students who are writing a thesis often experience anxiety and need treatment so that their emotions are more stable and finally they can complete the thesis. This study aims to determine the effect of thought stopping. Thought Stopping was done by training the client to cut off disturbing thoughts by saying stop and change to positive thinking. The design used is a pre-test post-test control group design. The research instrument used an anxiety scale for thesis preparation. The results of the Mann Whitney U test in the post-test and follow-up of the experimental group and control group found each z-value of -2.619, p-value of 0.009 (p<0.05). The results showed that experimental group experienced a decrease in anxiety compared to the control group. The Wilcoxon Rank Test showed that there was a difference anxiety before and after thought stopping, with a z-value of -2.023, and a p-value of 0.043 (p<0.05).

Abstract

This research was aimed to find out the effect of brief behavioral treatment to decrease insomnia disorder level, which was adapted from BBTI (Brief Behavioral Treatment of Insomnia) and carried out as online intervention. The research subject were 4 adults within 20 – 29 years old age range, with moderate clinical insomnia measured with ISI (Insomnia Severity Index) in which already adapted in Indonesian language by Jaya (2012). The research design used was one group pretest-posttest with analysis within group, in which all subjects received the same treatment, and the measurement were based from the change in insomnia severity levels by each subjects. The data analysis method in this research were non-parametric tests of Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The result of Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test indicates that the brief behavioral treatment in this research effectively decreased insomnia level as sleep disorder in each subjects.

Abstract

The ability to count is one of the useful abilities for intellectual disability children in everyday life. Fun and easy numeracy skills methods can be a means to improve numeracy skills in intellectual disability children. The dakon game applied in this study can be a means to improve numeracy skills in intellectual disability children because in the dakon game, children are trained to count using kecik dakon seeds in solving arithmetic problems. This study aims to test the effectiveness of traditional dakon games to improve the numeracy skills of intellectual disability children. This research is an experimental study that uses a one group pretest-posttest design. In this study involved three students with intellectual disability children. The results of the analysis with the Shapiro Wilk statistical test showed that the traditional dakon game was effective to improve numeracy skills in intellectual disability children.

Abstract

The dual role of women who work as civil servants and become mothers can cause anxiety. Anxiety management is needed in order to be optimal in carrying out the role. This study aims to determine the effect of mindfulness techniques on anxiety in mothers who work as civil servants in Sumbawa Besar City. This research is a quasi-experimental quantitative research with a non-random pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique used nonrandom purposive, the subjects in this study were 13 people. Data collection in this study used the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale and the Kentucky Inventory of Mindfulness Skill as a check manipulation. Data analysis used Mann – Whitney U Test (Z=-2.164, p<0.050), and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks (Z=-2.384, p<0.050). This shows that mindfulness techniques are effective in reducing anxiety in mothers who work as civil servants.

Abstract

There are several sources of stress that social workers probably have, which are heavy workload, conflict in superior-subordinate relationships and family problems. The main purpose of this study was to see the effect of group based brief acceptance commitment therapy (B-ACT) in reducing work stress. The design of study used a pretest-posttest one group design.  The subjects involved in this study were seven workers at a nursing home. The data were obtained through interviews, observation, and questionnaires. Statistical analysis using Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test indicated that B-ACT is not significantly effective in reducing work stress. However, a trend of positive improvement was observed, indicating the potential benefit of B-ACT for reducing work stress in social workers. Limitations of this study are explained in the discussion section.
