Abstract

This study investigates the factors that influence entrepreneurial motivation and intention among Business Administration students at Politeknik Negeri Bali, focusing on the 2023 and 2024 batches. The primary aim is to understand the intrinsic and extrinsic factors shaping students' entrepreneurial intentions. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining observation and in-depth interviews to gather qualitative data. The study examines the role of personal motivations, such as self-drive and prior entrepreneurial experiences, alongside external influences like family support and income potential. The analysis revealed that intrinsic factors, particularly self-motivation and early exposure to entrepreneurship, were more influential in fostering entrepreneurial intentions than extrinsic factors. Students with higher intrinsic motivation were more inclined to pursue entrepreneurial ventures independently. Challenges identified included a lack of practical experience and limited access to capital, which hindered students' entrepreneurial efforts. Although support from family and the local community played a role, the impact was less significant compared to personal desires and the satisfaction derived from running a business. In conclusion, intrinsic motivations are the primary drivers of entrepreneurial intention among the students, with external factors serving as secondary influences. To support students' entrepreneurial aspirations, addressing challenges like practical experience and access to resources is crucial.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze effective marketing strategies to increase broiler chicken sales in South Lampung, Indonesia, amid the growing competition in the market. The rapid growth of broiler chicken farms has raised consumer awareness of the importance of animal protein, but the increasing number of farms has intensified market rivalry. Traditional marketing methods, still dominant in the industry, are considered less effective in utilizing modern technology to reach a broader audience. A qualitative method was employed in this study, involving observation and interviews at the Chicken Room Broiler Farm in South Lampung. Data were gathered to assess the effectiveness of various marketing strategies implemented by the farm. The analysis highlights the success of social media-based marketing strategies, particularly through Instagram and Facebook, in expanding the market and enhancing customer loyalty. The farm's consistent product quality and excellent customer service were also identified as key strengths contributing to its competitive edge. Despite these strengths, several challenges were identified, including price fluctuations, disease outbreaks, and inadequate infrastructure, which hinder the farm's potential growth. A SWOT analysis revealed the need for innovative strategies that leverage internal strengths and external opportunities while addressing weaknesses and threats. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the importance of adopting modern marketing techniques, such as social media marketing, to stay competitive in a rapidly growing and competitive industry. Addressing infrastructural limitations and managing external threats are also critical for sustained success.

Abstract

This study explores the evolving dynamics of resource management, focusing on the relationship between human capital and product value creation. It examines how strategic positioning and resource engineering can enhance efficiency and innovation by treating employees as owners of their human capital. A qualitative approach, including thematic analysis of literature and case studies, was used to evaluate organizational models prioritizing personnel-product synergy, resource allocation, and their impact on value generation. Key metrics analysed included employee engagement, productivity, and product enhancement. The findings reveal a shift from a transactional to a continuum model of resource management, where employees, as dynamic human capital contributors, drive product value beyond intrinsic levels. Strategic positioning plays a crucial role, involving the reallocation of resources to functional variables. This dynamic process, termed "resource engineering", fosters innovation by aligning human energy with organizational goals. The study emphasizes the need for a visionary approach in resource management, where employers plan and implement strategies that create sustainable value. It also underscores the importance of synergizing human capital for enhanced product value and competitive advantage. Future research should explore practical applications of resource engineering across various industries to validate these findings.

The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation techniques to gather relevant data. These methods provide a comprehensive understanding of how the blue economy principles are applied in the context of sustainable tourism. The data collected was analysed using the Miles and Huberman method, which involves data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This analytical approach allows for an in-depth examination of the alignment between the blue economy principles and their practical application. The findings indicate that while the implementation of the blue economy concept largely aligns with its core principles, there are still areas that require further attention for continued development. Specifically, the research highlights the need for enhanced efforts in certain aspects of sustainability and community involvement. Despite these areas for improvement, the overall impact of the blue economy implementation has been positive, contributing to improved environmental conditions, economic growth, and the social welfare of the surrounding community. These results suggest that the blue economy holds significant potential for fostering sustainable development in tourism, benefiting both the environment and local populations.

Abstract

The high turnover rate in the hospitality industry is a significant challenge that can negatively impact operational stability and increase costs for businesses. This research aims to examine the relationship between job satisfaction, employee engagement, and turnover intention at YJR. The study investigates how factors such as job satisfaction and employee engagement influence employees' intentions to leave the organization. Utilizing a quantitative research method, data was collected through surveys and interviews with current and former employees of the restaurant. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis to determine the strength of the relationships between the variables. The results indicate that both job satisfaction and employee engagement have a significant negative impact on turnover intention. Employees who reported higher levels of satisfaction and engagement were less likely to express an intention to leave the company. Conversely, those with lower satisfaction and engagement levels were more inclined to consider exiting. Additionally, the research found that key drivers of dissatisfaction include limited career development opportunities, insufficient compensation, and a lack of recognition. The study concludes that improving job satisfaction and fostering employee engagement are critical strategies for reducing turnover at this company. Practical recommendations for management include implementing policies that enhance work-life balance, offering competitive compensation, and creating career advancement opportunities. Future research could expand on this study by examining the long-term effects of these strategies on turnover rates and exploring similar relationships in other sectors of the hospitality industry.
