Abstract

Currently, Pancasila is facing various challenges due to the impact of globalization on the Indonesian nation. This discussion focuses on the negative impact of globalization that threatens the existence of Pancasila as a national identity. As the next generation of the nation, it is essential for young people to understand and properly implement Pancasila in their lives so that it does not become lost amid an increasingly advanced civilization. This article was written to understand the importance of Pancasila’s role in responding to the challenges of globalization. The research methodology employed was analyzing existing sources such as journals, articles, and books. The author explains how Pancasila serves as a national identity, emphasizing the importance for the current generation to practice each principle of Pancasila and understand, its vital role for the Indonesian nation, especially in the era of globalization. This is because various problems arising from globalization threaten Pancasila and its existence as the foundation of national identity. The role of Pancasila is becoming increasingly challenging due to the behavior of the younger generation, which is increasingly perceived as not aligning with the principles of Pancasila. Moral degradation is occurring, and Nationalism is beginning to fade in the souls of the current younger generation. If this continues, Indonesia’s national identity could be lost and which would have a negative impact on the future of the Indonesian nation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) in realizing data transparency and accountability at the Tahfizul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in Sungai Pinang, identify operational obstacles in its implementation, and determine strategies and future prospects in strengthening EMIS-based governance towards the principles of good governance. Using a qualitative approach, the study was conducted through direct observation and in-depth interviews with the head of the Islamic boarding school, EMIS operators, and administrative staff. Data collection referred to semi-structured guidelines to capture experiences, challenges, and perceptions of the system. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions based on the Moleong model. The results indicate that EMIS is effective in increasing transparency through open data access and strengthening accountability through verified digital documentation. However, its implementation is hampered by five problems: system disruptions during unannounced maintenance, limited operator competency, weak internal coordination in document collection, inadequate technological infrastructure, and minimal outreach and mentoring from the Ministry of Religious Affairs. These findings confirm that the success of EMIS depends not only on system availability, but also on institutional capacity, infrastructure support, and synergy between central policies and field realities. Thus, EMIS has the potential to become an effective governance instrument if these operational constraints can be addressed systematically and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the impact of the implementation of the Education Management Information System (EMIS-Pendidikan) on the quality of student administration services at SMK Muhammadiyah 3. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through direct observation and interviews with administrative staff and teachers. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to identify MIS usage patterns and their impact on administrative services. The results show that the implementation of MIS, such as e-Raport and Pijar Online, has a positive impact on efficiency, accuracy, transparency, and service satisfaction. Interview data showed an increase in the speed of grade processing, a decrease in input errors, and ease of access to information for students and parents. However, the effectiveness of MIS is still influenced by limitations in digital infrastructure, user technological literacy, and managerial support. Therefore, improving human resource competency and strengthening technological facilities are key to the success of school digital transformation.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has brought about major changes in the mindset and behavior of the younger generation, especially Generation Z. Social media, as an integral part of their lives, plays an important role in shaping their perceptions of various social and citizenship issues. This study aims to examine how social media influences Generation Z's understanding of their rights and obligations as citizens. The method used in this study is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach, which examines various journals, scientific articles, and other relevant sources. The results of the study show that social media has two sides to its influence: on the one hand, it can increase political awareness and social participation; on the other hand, social media can also give rise to misinformation that obscures understanding of civic responsibility. Therefore, adaptive digital literacy and civic education are needed to equip Generation Z with a critical and responsible understanding of their rights and obligations as citizens in the digital era.

Abstract

This study focuses on women's participation in socio-cultural activities in Ringinanom Village, Tempuran District, by examining how their involvement contributes to the empowerment process. This study aims to analyze women's empowerment in the development process in Ringinanom Village using Naila Kabeer's women's empowerment framework, which includes aspects of resources, agency, and achievements. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Research informants include village women of different age groups as well as actors involved in the village development process. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically to examine the dynamics of women's involvement in the village's social and institutional spaces. The discussion shows that women in Ringinanom Village have access to social resources through involvement in community organizations and activities, although this access is not evenly distributed between women and girls. In terms of agency, women tend to be more active and bold in expressing opinions than girls, who still show limited involvement. Meanwhile, the achievements of women's involvement have not yet led to a real influence on strategic decision-making. Women's participation is still largely focused on operational and non-strategic social activities. The study's conclusions indicate that women's involvement in Ringinanom Village remains largely symbolic and does not fully reflect substantive empowerment. Therefore, women need to be fully involved, from the initial planning stages through to implementation and evaluation of development outcomes, to ensure their participation has a more meaningful impact.

Abstract

The development of the digital algorithm ecosystem (DAE) creates an epistemological risk in the form of fractured reality (FR), namely a condition in which society forms different understandings of the same reality due to algorithm-based information curation. This phenomenon strengthens information polarization and threatens the shared factual ground as an important foundation in democracy. This study aims to: (1) analyze the mechanisms of FR formation and information polarization in the DAE; (2) examine the role of digital citizenship (DC) as a mitigation framework; (3) formulate an integrative DC model relevant to the contemporary DAE; and (4) identify pedagogical and policy implications for strengthening digital citizenship. The study uses the systematic literature review (SLR) method with the PRISMA 2020 procedure through searches on Google Scholar, Scopus, and DOAJ. From 74 candidate articles, 23 articles were selected as the main sources of analysis and grouped into three thematic clusters. The results of the study show that FR is formed through three main mechanisms, namely algorithmic content curation, filter bubble formation, and echo chamber amplification. The study also finds that DC, especially in the dimensions of algorithmic literacy, media and information literacy, data literacy, civic engagement online, and digital ethics, plays an important role in building the epistemological resilience of digital citizens. The study concludes that FR mitigation requires layered strategies that operate simultaneously at the individual, community, institutional, and platform levels. The integration of Pancasila values into the global DC framework offers a contextual model for Indonesia and is relevant for other developing countries facing algorithm-based information polarization.
