Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to provide training and guidance in the field of literary writing for students. This activity is an effort to develop students' critical literacy skills, especially through writing skills. In addition, this activity is also a way to bring schools and students closer to literary works. The implementation method, Community Service is carried out by providing ongoing training and mentoring. The training was conducted for three days for students/participants. This training is carried out in two ways, namely inclass and outclass. Inclass training is carried out to provide a common understanding of writing literary works to students/participants, while outclass training is conducted to hone sensitivity, critical power, and intuition of students/participants to catch any existing problems. around them to be used as material in writing literary works. Based on the results of the implementation, the understanding of literary works is better than before. Likewise, students' writing skills are increasing and getting better, this is evidenced by the results of their literary works in the form of poetry anthologies. The poems they make vary, both in terms of typography, theme, and content. The students were enthusiastic and enthusiastic in participating in these activities. With the activities of fostering literary writing in schools, it can help students and the school better recognize literary literacy, especially in the field of literary writing. On the other hand, fostering literary writing in schools can help teachers form the School Literacy Movement in their respective schools, considering that there are still very few people in the school environment, so there is a need for similar activities with the aim of increasing students' competence and love for reading and writing.

Abstract

Short toddlers (stunting) can be detected when a toddler has been measured in length or height, then compared with the standard, and the results are below normal. Short toddlers are toddlers with nutritional status based on length or height according to age when compared to the 2005 WHO-MGRS (Multicentre Growth Reference Study) standard, the z-score value is less than -2SD and is categorized as very short if the z-score is less from -3SD. Based on data on the stunting prevalence of East Kalimantan province in 2018-2020, especially in Samarinda in 2018, stunting cases were 26.26% in 2019 decreased by 24.75 and in 2020 remained at 24.7%. Meanwhile, based on data from the Samarinda City Health Office, in 2020 the prevalence of stunting was 11.9% and in 2021 it decreased by 10.7%. This service was carried out in July 2022 at one of the Posyandu in Kota Samarinda, namely at the Seroja Posyandu, Java Village, Samarinda Ulu District, Samarinda City. The service method used in this activity is the socialization of stunting prevention efforts. The main targets of this activity are pregnant women and toddlers who have been registered at the Seroja Posyandu. This activity began with socialization about sanitation and clean water on stunting and continued with a question and answer session. All activities that have been carried out went well.

Abstract

Along with the development of the cattle farming industry in Indonesia, many problems arise in terms of waste management. Cow dung waste processing becomes a challenge for the cattle farm industries, especially in handling the liquid waste. Liquid waste produced by cattle farming may pose a negative impact on the health of the people living around the cattle farm if it is not managed properly. One of the efforts to reduce environmental damage due to liquid waste from the farm is by utilizing microbubble generator (MBG) technology to decompose cow dung liquid waste into environmentally friendly waste. The aeration process that occurs in cow dung liquid waste helps aerobic microorganisms to better decompose liquid waste through the addition of dissolved oxygen produced by the microbubble generator in the water. As one of our community service programs, our team came up with an initiative to transfer the know-how of the MBG-based wastewater processing system to a local cattle farm, CV Sanjaya Farm. The program implementation method is by providing training and assistance in the application of MBG technology in the processing of cow dung liquid waste. With an active participation of both our team and partner sides, the MBG technology has been installed at our partner’s locations. As a result of the training and mentoring that we delivered at the partner farm, we observed an increase in the knowledge and skills of both leadership and staff of the partner farm in overcoming the problem of liquid waste management. In addition, a tangible solution has also been built for handling liquid waste to be disposed of into the surrounding environment in a safe and non-polluting manner.

Abstract

This community empowerment activity was carried out in Sebewe Village, North Moyo District, Sumbawa Regency. Based on the results of community service activities with the theme "Education on the introduction of contracts in sharia transactions and the introduction of online sharia financing to strengthen business capital for small and medium business actors in Sebewe Village, North Moyo District, Sumbawa Regency" which has been carried out, it can be concluded as follows: 1). The participants already have additional information about sharia-based online loan institutions that are recognized by the Indonesian Financial Services Authority. 2) The participants of small and medium businesses get information about the types of contracts in sharia transactions as well as accurate tricks to qualify for loans in sharia banking. 3) Small and medium enterprises in Sebewe Village know how to do simple bookkeeping.

Abstract

Marketing techniques using storytelling are considered to have the opportunity to increase the number of tourist visits. This activity explores storytelling in the Huta Siallagan tourism object, Samosir Regency, North Sumatra. This tourist attraction has the opportunity to be developed because it has historical value and uniqueness, and folklore. This activity was carried out using discussions with Chairman Huta Siallagan to gain an increased understanding of how the legend of the parsidangan stone became a tourist attraction that functions as a criminal court. The implementation was carried out directly at the Huta Siallagan Tourism Object. The writing method used is a qualitative method, which can explore and understand the meaning of social or humanitarian problems. King Siallagan's Stone Chair is a historical relic and archaeological objects in the form of stone chairs and tables. The stones are believed to be more than 200 years old, revealing a cruel practice in Samosir in the past, namely the story of the cannibalism of the Batak Tribe. With long discussions and interviews, we can understand the importance of storytelling in increasing the number of visitors to tourism objects, especially in Huta Siallagan.

Abstract

Welding technology is an applied technology, where this technology can be applied or applied in the form of products, both small and large products. The application of welding technology can be carried out in the world of education and society, in the world of education it can be done with formal education carried out in schools while in the community it can be done using training. Welding training in the community is carried out with a community service program, namely the SMAW welding training service in the village of Kresik Putih, this training applies SMAW welding technology to become a product. The training starts with an explanation of K3, an explanation of tools and materials, an explanation of the welding position, and welding applications to make products. The resulting product is a flower fitting holder used for the white creek village office. This training has had a positive impact on the community, where previously the community had not been able to understand welding technology, especially SMAW. This training can be used as capital to develop entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Society in general, has long known the palm tree (Arenga pinnata Merr.) as a tree that can produce materials for the craft industry. Almost all parts or products of this plant can be utilized and have economic value, however, this plant has received less attention to be developed or cultivated seriously by various parties. Most of the farmers only process the palm sugar into brown sugar and fro, while the sap water is only made for ordinary drinks. The selling price of palm sap is also very cheap, especially at harvest time the price drops sharply. Based on these reasons, it is necessary to develop new innovations in the processing of palm sap which has only been used as an ordinary drink. The new innovation is to make nira as Nata de Legen as an alternative to Nata de Coco. Through this innovation, it is hoped that the people of Gebang Village, Pesawaran, Lampung will know more about the other benefits of palm sap as a high-value food. This counseling is also expected to be able to increase public insight to utilize palm sap into products that have added value economically.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide basic accounting education and simple bookkeeping for housewives in the Pantai Amal Village. This training is also targeted to provide financial management knowledge, so that household finances are always sufficient and can have savings or investments for future needs and can generate prosperity for the family. The service method carried out is in the form of dissemination and training on family financial management, briefly and clearly, using the household financial management module. There were 10 participants in this activity, namely housewives in the Pantai Amal Village. The activity begins with the provision of material, followed by a question and answer session between the presenter and the participants. Then the participants practise or practise about the material that has been given. From the research conducted, it shows that 88% of the participants are satisfied and able to understand the material, which means that this community service activity is categorised as successful.

Abstract

Garbage seems to be a useless and useless item. However, if waste understands how to manage it, it can have a high value from an economic point of view. The Gresik Regency Garbage Bank Association (Asbak) is an institution that initiates the movement of waste management from what was originally useless to something useful and has economic value. In its movement to care for the environment, Ashbak Gresik collaborates with the Gresik Regency Environmental Service in order to socialize the existence of the Waste Bank as a special community forum for waste management from and back to the community for its use. No exception in the Dukun Subdistrict, Gresik Regency, this Waste Bank was formed. The method of community service carried out by the STEI Kanjeng Sepuh PkM Team in collaboration with several mass organizations, both from the Indonesian Women's Coalition (KPI) Kec. Dukun and BKMM (Coordination Board for Mosque Taklim Council)-DMI Kec. The shaman was carried out in an open and democratic manner, which eventually led to the selection of a qualified environmental cadre in their field as the Director of the Waste Bank to lead several environmental cadres in the context of caring for waste. After the presentation by the Environment Service and Activists from Ashtray, in this activity, a demonstration of the manufacture of eco-enzyme fertilizer was carried out. Eco enzyme is the result of the fermentation of organic kitchen waste such as fruit and vegetable pulp, sugar (brown sugar, brown sugar or cane sugar), and water. It is dark brown in color and has a strong sweet and sour fermented aroma. Eco Enzyme can be a multipurpose liquid and its applications include households, agriculture and livestock. Basically, eco enzyme accelerates bio-chemical reactions in nature to produce useful enzymes using fruit or vegetable waste

Abstract

salah satu aplikasi pembelajaran online yang banyak di gunakan adalah ggole Meet. Google meet merupakan aplikasi atau software video conference yang bisa digunakan lewat aplikasi ponsel pintar serta browser. Google Meet adalah produk dari Google yang merupakan layanan komunikasi video yang dikembangkan oleh Google. Aplikasi ini adalah salah satu dari 2 aplikasi yang merupakan versi baru dari versi terdahulunya yaitu Google Hangouts dan Google Chat. Dimasa pandemi sekolah menerapkan pembelajaran online dimana para guru harus tetap melakukan interaksi kepada murid dan orang tua, agar proses pembelajaran tetap berjalan sesuai aturannya. Dengan adanya fitur dari google ini semua civitas sekolah khususnya SDN Ciledug Timur sangat terbantu untuk tetap melakukan interaksi kepada siswa-siswinya.
