Abstract

Improving the quality of education is strongly influenced by teacher’s competence, including the ability to write scientific papers based on research. However, many teachers face challenges in analyzing quantitative data due to limited knowledge of statistical tools such as SPSS. To address this issue, this Community Service Program (PkM) aimed to strengthen teachers' capacity in conducting data analysis using SPSS, with a focus on simple linear regression techniques. The activity took place at a private Junior High School in Jatinegara, East Jakarta, applying a participatory action research approach. The program included socialization, technical training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results indicated an increase in teachers’ understanding of identifying variables, entering data, and analyzing and interpreting regression results. Teachers also showed strong motivation in developing research ideas and writing scientific papers systematically. This activity not only improved their technical data analysis skills but also encouraged greater participation in scientific publication. The program contributes positively to teacher professionalism and holds potential for replication in other schools.

Abstract

This training aims to enhance the skills of students at SMP Utama Pondok Aren, Tangerang Selatan, in using the Paint application, which is a built-in Microsoft software. By utilizing Paint, students are expected to develop basic drawing and graphic design skills, which can serve as a crucial foundation in learning information and communication technology. The training methods include theoretical and practical sessions, where students are introduced to various features and functions of the Paint application. Evaluation is conducted through the assessment of practical assignments given during the training. The results of the training indicate a significant improvement in students' understanding and skills in using the Paint application. This program is expected to make a positive contribution to the efforts of developing technological skills among junior high school students.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competencies of vocational high school (SMK) students in web development through Junior Web Developer training. The activities were carried out at several SMKs in Cirebon Regency and Cirebon City as an effort to bridge the gap between school curricula and industry needs. The implementation methods included preparation and planning, training execution, monitoring and evaluation, as well as dissemination of results. The outcomes of this program showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding and skills in web development technologies, particularly in the use of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks. In addition, the participating teachers also benefited from workshops designed to enhance their ability to teach industry-based materials. This program successfully produced several outputs such as learning modules, student web projects, and collaborations with industry partners to open job opportunities for graduates. Through this program, it is expected that vocational students will be better prepared to face the workforce and the digital industry. The sustainability of this program can be expanded by increasing the number of industry partners and broadening the scope of training participants.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) was conducted to address the issue of insufficient digital competence among vocational and high school students in Cirebon City. The rapid advancement of digital technology requires every individual, including students, to possess adequate computer skills. A survey revealed that many students lack proficiency in basic skills such as office software usage, data processing, and computer operating systems, hindering their readiness for the workforce. Therefore, a computer operator training program was designed to enhance students' digital competence, provide them with relevant skills, and improve their competitiveness in the labor market. The program's implementation methods included theoretical and practical training, job simulations, and periodic mentoring and evaluation. The training covered fundamental materials on computer operation, office software, and computer system management. Job simulations were conducted to provide students with practical experience, while mentoring and evaluation aimed to ensure a thorough understanding of the material. The program involved coordination with partner schools, development of training modules, and preparation of necessary tools and devices. The results of this program demonstrated a significant improvement in students' digital skills. Over 80% of participants showed enhancement in office software usage, and students became more confident in using computers for academic tasks and job preparation. Partner schools also expressed interest in continuing this program sustainably. Concrete outputs from this activity included computer operator training modules, competency certificates for participants, student skill evaluation data, and partnerships with the industry for internship and employment opportunities. This program is expected to have a long-term positive impact on vocational and high school students in Cirebon City, enhance their readiness to face the challenges of the digital world, and contribute to strengthening the digital education ecosystem in the region.

Abstract

In the competitive digital era, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and startups are required to adopt data-driven marketing strategies to improve promotional effectiveness and competitiveness. However, many of them still face obstacles in understanding and implementing digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics and advertising platforms such as Facebook Ads. These issues include a lack of understanding of data analytics, difficulties in determining target audiences, as well as budget and resource constraints. This programme aimed to provide practical training and mentoring in the use of both platforms as a solution to improve digital marketing effectiveness. The results showed that 85% of participants experienced increased understanding, and more than 70% successfully implemented more efficient and measurable digital campaigns. In addition to increasing digital engagement and sales conversion, the programme also established a digital marketing community for continued learning. This programme is proven to encourage business independence in managing their digital marketing strategies and contributing to local economic growth.

Abstract

This community service activity focuses on improving the competence of lecturers in the Indonesian Higher Education Cooperative (KOPERTIP) in the field of image processing and visual data analysis, with an emphasis on image preprocessing training. The background of this activity is the rapid development of information technology that demands a deep understanding of image processing for visual data analysis. Many lecturers, especially in KOPERTIP, still lack mastery of basic image preprocessing techniques, which hinders the optimal use of visual data in research and teaching. This training program aims to address this skill gap by providing lecturers with practical knowledge and skills in processing visual data using software such as Python with the OpenCV and PIL libraries. The training covers the basic concepts of image preprocessing, including image enhancement, noise reduction, edge detection, and image transformation techniques. The training method involves a combination of theory and direct practice, case studies, and intensive mentoring. The results of this activity include increased understanding and technical skills of lecturers, the compilation of training modules, draft scientific publications, and the formation of a learning and collaboration community among lecturers. The positive impacts include improved teaching quality, increased interest in visual data research, and the potential for broader academic collaboration. This activity is considered successful in improving the competence of KOPERTIP Indonesia lecturers in digital image processing, which is expected to enhance the quality of research, teaching, and the competitiveness of higher education institutions. The program emphasizes the importance of practice-based training, continuous mentoring, and the relevance of the material to the curriculum and academic research. Recommendations for program sustainability include advanced training, collaborative application development, facility improvement, and cooperation with related institutions or industries.

Abstract

Video editing training is a strategic solution to the challenge of low digital skills of youth and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Cirebon City. This program aims to empower the community through capacity building in creating effective and attractive promotional video content. Activities were carried out through a participatory and practice-based approach, including an introduction to editing software, basic visual storytelling techniques, and content optimization for social media. The results of the training showed a significant improvement in participants' skills, with 85% able to produce promotional videos independently. In addition, this training encourages collaboration between creative youth and MSME players, expands the reach of digital marketing, and opens new job opportunities in the creative industry. With the improvement of digital skills, MSME players become more competitive, while youth have alternative income in the digital era. This program contributes to the growth of the creative economy and the reduction of unemployment in Cirebon City.

Abstract

This community service program aims to increase awareness of healthy living habits and digital literacy among students in Tarikolot Village as an effort to improve their well-being and readiness to face challenges in the digital era. Based on initial observations, students in Tarikolot Village still have unhealthy eating habits, lack physical activity, and pay little attention to personal and environmental hygiene. In addition, the use of digital technology among students is still limited to entertainment, such as playing games and accessing social media, without understanding the positive potential and risks of using technology wisely. This program was implemented through interactive counseling, hands-on practice, simulations, and mentoring. The material presented in this activity includes health education such as the importance of balanced nutrition, personal hygiene, and physical activities. Meanwhile, the digital literacy materials cover safe internet usage, ethics in social media, hoax identification, and utilizing technology for learning and digital economic opportunities. The results of this program indicate an increase in students' understanding and behavioral changes. Around 80% of participants began to implement healthy habits such as proper handwashing, choosing nutritious foods, and engaging in regular physical activity. In addition, participants became wiser in using social media, were able to identify hoaxes, and started utilizing the internet for productive purposes such as online learning. The outcomes of this program include educational modules on healthy living and digital literacy, educational videos, infographics, and certificates for participants. This program is expected to create a young generation that is healthy, smart, and wise in using technology so that they can face the challenges of the digital era more effectively and responsibly.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in national economic development, particularly in creating jobs and improving people's welfare. However, MSMEs often face various challenges in managing human resources (HR) and increasing employee capacity, which has a direct impact on productivity and business sustainability. This research aims to empower MSME actors through HR management training and employee capacity building. The method used is integrated training that includes workforce needs planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, and performance evaluation. Training activities were carried out in the form of workshops, group discussions, and hands-on practices involving the active participation of MSME actors. The results of the training showed an increase in MSME actors' understanding of the importance of HR management and positive changes in the application of management practices in their respective business environments. In addition, the training also contributes to increasing employee motivation and competence, which in turn improves business performance and competitiveness. With this empowerment program, MSMEs are expected to grow more professional, adaptive, and sustainable. This study recommends continuous assistance and support from the government and related institutions to strengthen the managerial capacity of MSME actors in the long term.

Abstract

Compost is a material produced from the decomposition process of organic matter, such as wet or dry, husk, garbage and so on. The benefits of compost, apart from reducing organic waste by turning it into useful materials, can improve soil quality and increase plant productivity.. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge, understanding and skills in making compost fertilizer from dry leaves found in the environment to residents in Dusun Pal 6, Desa Karang Sari, Kecamatan Jati Agung. The results of the assessment show that there is an increase in knowledge and understanding of the materials provided with an initial percentage of 52.0% increased by 77.05% with an average increase of 28.3%, the highest increase range is 41% and the lowest is 16%
