Abstract

The lack of teacher involvement in independent training and the absence of references to good practices in implementing this curriculum pose significant obstacles. To address this, an educational platform known as the Merdeka Belajar Platform was developed, aimed at facilitating teachers' access to inspiration and references. This research examines the utilization of the Merdeka Belajar Platform in implementing the independent curriculum effectively, focusing on SMAS Muhammadiyah Toboali as a case study. The study's purpose is to uncover and analyze the use of the Merdeka Belajar Platform in facilitating effective implementation of the independent curriculum at SMAS Muhammadiyah Toboali. Descriptive qualitative research methods were employed, involving interviews, documentation studies, and observation for data collection. The findings revealed initial difficulties in comprehending the independent curriculum due to the rapid transition process. However, the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Platform has led to positive changes, with the optimization of the school's learning community and the emergence of good practices among colleagues. This mutual support system among teachers has underscored those advancements in science and technology present opportunities and challenges rather than obstacles, thereby enhancing educators' capacity and capabilities.

Abstract

A teacher's performance can influence the quality of student learning at school. This is because teachers have an important role in the world of education. His words and behavior will be an example for the students he teaches. Students can feel that teachers do not give their best in preparing learning materials, complain easily, or are unable to work together with leaders. There are many factors that can influence teacher performance, namely type of leadership, job satisfaction, and work motivation. Research was conducted to determine whether there is a positive influence between transformational leadership, job satisfaction, and work motivation on teacher performance at PKBM XYZ. This research is quantitative research with 35 respondents using path analysis. The results of this research indicate that (1) transformational leadership has a positive effect on teacher performance, (2) there is little evidence that job satisfaction has a positive effect on teacher performance, (3) work motivation has a positive effect on teacher performance. The teacher performance variable can be explained by the variables transformational leadership, job satisfaction and work motivation by 21%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the school literacy initiative program at SD Kristen 03 Eben Haezer Salatiga. This research is evaluative and uses the CIPPO model. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The validity of the research data is tested for credibility using triangulation techniques, which consist of source triangulation and technical triangulation. Data analysis involves description, reduction, display, and drawing conclusions. The results based on the context aspect show that the literacy initiative program (GLS) is essential. Regarding the input aspect, the GLS program meets the school's needs in addressing low student literacy skills and is supported by adequate human resources, budget, and infrastructure. In the process aspect, the GLS program was carried out well according to the plan, although some teachers need reminders about the SOP. The product of the GLS program implementation includes improvements in students' reading ability, reading comprehension, and writing skills. This is evidenced by students’ works, such as writing competitions, poetry, friendship stories, and creating clippings about earth's surface features and the environment. The outcome or impact of the results is that students gain new knowledge and vocabulary, become creative and innovative, and are able to develop their imagination by writing poetry and short stories. Additionally, students become more confident in presenting their own work.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of parents in accompanying students during and after the COVID-19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 13 Ambon and SMP Negeri 20 Ambon. It explores the challenges, disadvantages, and strengths of parental involvement in home-based learning during and after the pandemic, and presents a training module for parents to assist students learning post-pandemic. This research employs a research and development (RnD) approach with a qualitative descriptive method, focusing on product creation. Data were collected through document studies, observations, and in-depth interviews, and validated using source and technique triangulation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman Model. The findings are: During the COVID-19 pandemic, parents at SMP Negeri 13 Ambon and SMP Negeri 20 Ambon provided some assistance for home-based learning, but it was not fully effective due to varying conditions and parents' limited understanding of the online learning process, compounded by some parents' technological illiteracy. Post-pandemic, parental assistance returned to normal, with some parents struggling to motivate their children, who preferred in-person learning and social interactions at school. The primary obstacles faced by parents included poor internet connectivity, high data costs, and frequent power outages, while the strengths included increased attention, encouragement, guidance, and direct control over children's learning at home. A training module for parents was developed, comprising a module book with guides for learning activities that can be implemented by teachers, parents, and students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership style, teamwork, and integrity on the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in Catholic Junior High Schools in Merauke. The motivation for this research stems from two primary factors: first, inconsistencies in previous research findings on the impact of transformational leadership, teamwork, and integrity on TQM; second, observable issues such as a lack of integrity among teachers and Foundation employees, poor teamwork, and weak leadership among principals and Foundation administrators, which have resulted in Catholic schools under the Catholic School Education Foundation (YPPK) in Merauke not meeting accreditation standards. TQM is recognized as a strategic approach to enhancing educational quality, fostering an organizational culture committed to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. his explanatory quantitative research utilized survey methods, gathering data from 100 teachers and educational staff at Catholic Junior High Schools in Merauke. The collected data were tabulated and analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that transformational leadership style, teamwork, and integrity each have a significant positive effect on TQM when considered individually. Additionally, there is a significant combined effect of these factors on the implementation of TQM in Catholic Junior High Schools in Merauke.

Abstract

This research aims to comprehensively examine scientific publications on 'learning organizations' through a bibliometric analysis of 1,551 scientific publications from 1976 to 2023, sourced from the Scopus database. Using a quantitative approach, this study focuses on two main aspects: performance analysis and science mapping. The bibliometric analysis follows the steps proposed by Donthu et al. (2021). The study highlights various metrics, including the number of publications and citations, subject areas, affiliations, universities, countries, prolific researchers, and influential documents. Additionally, it identifies recent research topics within the field. The findings show that publications and citations have increased over the last four decades, with significant growth starting in 1994 (24 publications) and peaking in 2020 (87 publications). Key findings include analyses of document types, source types, popular languages, subject areas, research trends, top countries, influential institutions, prolific authors, active sources, top keywords, and citation patterns. Notably, this research highlights the limitations inherent in using a single database (Scopus) for data collection. Finally, the study suggests directions for future research in learning organizations, providing valuable insights for scholars and practitioners in the field.
