Abstract

This study investigates the influence of capabilities, business models, and digital transformation on the success of MSMEs, with strategic partnerships functioning as a mediating factor. The research utilizes survey data from 247 MSME entrepreneurs and managers in Jakarta who have integrated digital platforms into their business operations. The collected data is analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings reveal that business models, digital transformation, and strategic partnerships significantly impact SME performance in Jakarta. Strategic partnerships serve as a crucial intermediary, linking business models and digital transformation to corporate performance and amplifying their effect. In contrast, the broader relationship involving capabilities exhibits minimal influence on performance, either directly or through the mediation of strategic partnerships. The results highlight that the primary challenge hindering SME growth in Jakarta is limited capabilities, underscoring the need for more structured and targeted interventions. To address these constraints, strategic partnership initiatives involving government and private sector stakeholders should be tailored to meet the specific needs of MSMEs. Additionally, strengthening digital literacy is essential to enable SMEs to access broader market opportunities. The increasing reliance on social media and e-commerce platforms has emerged as a key digital literacy initiative among MSMEs, supporting their business expansion efforts.

Abstract

Lead time and room facilities are critical factors influencing patient satisfaction with hospital services. This study aims to analyze the effects of lead time and room facilities on patient satisfaction in the Outpatient Department of Bandung Kiwari Hospital (RSUD Bandung Kiwari). The research employs a descriptive-verificative quantitative method, involving 150 respondents selected through purposive sampling from an outpatient population of 5,399 in July 2023. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire. The results reveal that the majority of patients experienced lead times exceeding 60 minutes (65.3%), which is beyond the established standard. Conversely, room facilities were generally rated as highly satisfactory (81.95%), despite shortcomings in bathroom cleanliness. Overall patient satisfaction was categorized as good (79.26%), although lead time received a lower score (58%). Regression analysis indicates that lead time and room facilities have a significant simultaneous effect on patient satisfaction (F = 48.662, p = 0.000), with room facilities (β = 0.310, p = 0.000) having a greater partial influence compared to lead time (β = 0.234, p = 0.004). This study concludes that better management of lead time and improved quality of room facilities are essential for enhancing patient satisfaction. The findings highlight the importance of optimizing digital queue systems, improving cleanliness, and conducting regular evaluations through patient satisfaction surveys to ensure continuous service improvement.

Abstract

This study evaluates the feasibility of building a nickel Mixed Hydroxide Precipitate (MHP) plant of PT. X with a capacity of 12,000 tons per year. The analysis shows that the potential demand for MHPs in the national and global markets continues to increase, driven by the growth of the nickel battery-based electric vehicle industry. The planned production capacity is projected to be optimally absorbed. The plant is designed using High Pressure Acid Leaching (HPAL) technology that utilizes low-grade nickel ore from multiple locations to reduce dependence on a single mine. Other supporting factors include adequate infrastructure, manpower, regulatory support, and market potential. Raw material requirements per year include 414,000 tons of laterite ore, 148,100 tons of H₂SO₄, 41,700 tons of CaO, and 2,870 tons of MgO. Initial investment (CAPEX) is estimated at $108.8 million with an annual operating expense (OPEX) of $93.5 million. The main equipment includes an autoclave, thickener, filter press, and rotary dryer. Financial analysis shows the project is feasible with a Payback Period of 4.85 years, an IRR of 19% above the MARR of 15%, and a positive NPV of $14.03 million at a discount of 19%. The sensitivity test showed that the project remained viable despite increased operational costs, so it was considered technically and financially prospective to support Indonesia's nickel downstreaming.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of establishing a poultry feed factory by PT. X in Gresik, East Java, as part of Indonesia’s national agricultural downstreaming strategy. The feasibility study evaluates multiple aspects, including technical and technological considerations, raw material availability, and market and marketing potential, particularly for both domestic and export opportunities. The assessment also includes the estimation of local raw material requirements and the identification of appropriate equipment and technology for the factory’s operations. From a market perspective, the study evaluates current and projected demand for poultry feed products, supported by the growing livestock sector and increasing export prospects. From a financial standpoint, the project shows strong viability. Key financial indicators demonstrate positive outcomes: the Net Present Value (NPV) is greater than zero, the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) exceeds the prevailing loan interest rate, and the Payback Period falls within an acceptable and efficient timeframe. These indicators collectively reflect the project’s potential to generate sustainable profits and recover the initial investment within a reasonable period. Considering all evaluated aspects, the development of PT. X's poultry feed factory in Gresik is deemed feasible in terms of technical implementation, market potential, and financial returns. Moreover, the project aligns with national objectives to enhance agricultural value chains through industrial downstreaming, optimize the use of local resources, and contribute to regional and national economic development. As such, the proposed investment not only supports agribusiness growth but also reinforces broader economic resilience and food security initiatives in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the state in shaping the coffee industries of Indonesia and Brazil within the global market during the 20th century. The objective is to analyze how state intervention influenced the competitiveness of both countries’ coffee sectors. Using a qualitative and deductive approach grounded in international political economy and the concept of comparative advantage, the research finds that Brazil’s structured state-led interventions through infrastructure development, labor management, and export-oriented policies enabled it to dominate the global coffee industry. In contrast, Indonesia faced persistent challenges in modernization, distribution, and post-harvest management, limiting its competitiveness. The findings highlight the importance of consistent and proactive state policies in building competitive advantage for national commodities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the satisfaction levels of outpatients participating in Indonesia's national health insurance (JKN) under its tiered referral system. The research objective is to assess patient satisfaction at Dr. Slamet Regional Public Hospital, a primary referral center, across six key dimensions. A mixed-methods approach was employed, using surveys with 105 outpatients and in-depth interviews with hospital personnel. The findings reveal an overall patient satisfaction level of 74.01%, classified as “good.” Medical services received the highest satisfaction score (76.62%), while cost perception was the lowest (69.14%). Although clinical care is highly rated, the study identifies significant administrative complexity and long waiting times as primary sources of patient dissatisfaction. The main implication is that while the JKN program succeeds in delivering quality medical care, the patient experience is significantly hampered by bureaucratic inefficiencies. Practical improvements should focus on streamlining administrative procedures and optimizing patient flow to enhance overall satisfaction.
