Abstract

This study aims to find out whether the use of favorite objects can improve students' short story writing skills and to identify effective teaching strategies in using favorite objects as inspiration in writing short stories. The research method used in this study was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which lasted for 2 cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class IX MIPA 2, academic year 2022/2023, which consisted of 36 students. The research instrument used was an observation sheet (observation). Technical data analysis of this research uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. Based on the results of research on the pre-cycle, cycle 1, and cycle 2, it was found that there was an increase in short story writing skills starting from the pre-cycle, cycle 1, and cycle 2, namely 68.88; 80; and 88.88. In addition, based on the results obtained in this study, it is known that the implementation of using favorite objects has an effect on improving the short story writing skills of class XI MIPA 2 students.

Abstract

In achieving learning success, the learning model is the most important thing. Learning model can attract the students, it will be able to maximize learning. Thus, the writer made observations by implementing the PQ4R learning model (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, and Review) at X AKL (Accounting) 3 SMKN 4 Klaten. Data from this qualitative research were collected from observations, interviews, tests and documentation. The results of the study are that the PQ4R learning method was successfully applied. This can be seen from the activeness of students and the score of students.

Abstract

Project Based Learning learning model, a learning model in the form of a project to be carried out individually or in groups and carried out within a certain period of time. The application of the PjBL learning model assisted by the GeoGebra application aims to improve students' numeracy literacy skills and students' activeness, so that students are expected to have curiosity and be able to understand quadratic function material well. This study used the class action research method (PTK) by taking research subjects class X G students of SMA N 1 Jatinom consisting of 36 students. Based on this research, it was shown that students' numeracy literacy skills experienced an increase seen from the classical average in cycle I of 51.88% increasing to 73.97% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the activeness of students began to increase as seen from the average percentage of students' activeness of 57.29% in cycle I and 72.06% in cycle II. It was concluded that in this study the application of the GeoGebra-assisted PjBL learning model in mathematics learning was able to improve the numeracy literacy skills and the activeness of class X G students of SMA N 1 Jatinom in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

Learning becomes less interactive when students are learning to build space because they focus more on the teacher's explanations. Students' mathematical character and problem-solving skills cannot be developed by this learning. An alternative for helping pupils improve their mathematical character and problem-solving skills is the TGT learning approach. The two cycles of this classroom action research project are designed to enhance students' mathematical character and problem-solving skills. Group intelligence was used in conjunction with the TGT model at SMP Negeri 4 Klaten class VIII. Students take a pretest to ascertain their starting abilities before class action starts. With only 3% of pupils completing the pretest, the outcomes were still quite poor. Students' ability to solve mathematical problems improved when they took action.Likewise, students' mathematical character has improved, namely in cycle I only 59% of students have mathematical character in the moderate category, while in cycle II as many as 78% of students have mathematical character in the good category.

Abstract

The article entitled "The Influence of Anxiety Level on Mathematics Learning Achievement of Class VIII Students of SMPN 1 Ngrampal Sragen 2021/2022" is a case study, where anxiety is a serious problem whose solution is not easy, because anxiety plays a major role for someone in avoiding studying and apply knowledge including mathematics. If students have high levels of anxiety then the learning process will not be meaningful for students. The result is that there is a negative influence of anxiety level (X) on mathematics learning achievement (Y). It is proven that Fregressive > Ftable is 36.3843875 > 7.096 > 4.008. This means that students who experience high anxiety will achieve less well in mathematics. Furthermore, mathematics is actually not a difficult lesson. In learning mathematics, students are required to do a lot of practice working on questions and it is hoped that students will not quickly give up if they experience difficulties in learning. The anxiety experienced can be overcome by improving the relationship between teachers and students' parents, through a persuasive approach with students who experience anxiety.

Abstract

The researchers aimed to describe the implementation of a genre-based approach in writing learning in Vocational High Schools. This research design uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The subject of the study was grade XI students at one of the vocational high schools in Klaten Regency. Data were collected from writing learning events, informants, and some related documents using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The collected data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that teachers apply a genre-based approach by following all stages that must be passed, ranging from building knowledge of the field (BkoF), modeling of text (MoT), joint construction of the text (JcoT), to independent construction of the text (IcoT). At the BKoF stage, the teacher introduced the invitation text and built students' knowledge and understanding to reveal the general purpose and type of invitation text. At the MoT stage, the teacher provided examples of unofficial invitation texts to observe and discuss. The teacher facilitated students to name the parts and functions of the sample unofficial invitation text. At the JCoT stage, the teacher divided the class into groups to discuss the text of the unofficial invitation. At the ICoT stage, the teacher asked students individually to create an unofficial invitation text.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to improve Javanese Pawarta writing skills through the Think-Pair-Share learning method. This research was carried out at Muhammadiyah Kartasura Vocational School, Sukoharjo, Central Java, Indonesia from September to October 2023 with Javanese Pawarta material. The research methodology used is classroom action research which consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of four research stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The researcher's role as a teaching staff is assisted by an Arts and Culture teacher as a collaborator. The sample chosen in this study consisted of 20 students in class X Clothing for the 2023-2024 academic year using a cluster random sampling technique. The research data was taken through written tests in the form of pre-test and post-test, the research results showed that there was an increase in the average post-test score for Javanese learning outcomes. The average score for students' ability to write news stories in cycle I was 72.25 and completeness. learning reached 65%. The average score for students' ability to write Pawarta in cycle II was 78.15 and learning completion reached 85% and was above the minimum requirement criteria (KKM) value set by the school, namely 75. Thus it can be concluded that the Think- Pair-Share can improve Pawarta's writing skills... : Javanese language; pawarta; learning

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) describe the process of developing draomai application as Indonesian language learning media of drama text material for grade VIII junior high school students and (2) describe the feasibility of developing a draomai application product as Indonesian language learning media of drama text material for grade VIII junior high school students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The research was conducted in stages, including (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. The assessment of media was carried out by two material experts, media experts, and teachers to determine the feasibility of the media. The student response test involved students from class VIII C of SMP Negeri 4 Depok which was accomplished online and offline. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. Then, the data analysis technique used was mixed methods, that are qualitative to analyze the questionnaire and quantitative to process the numeric data in the form of test scores. The results showed that validation from material experts and media experts has an average score of 4.6 and 4.3 which are categorized as very feasible. Furthermore, the feasibility level obtained from the teacher's assessment showed an average score of 5 with a very feasible category. Meanwhile, based on the average response results from students, it showed a final average score of 4.4 points that is categorized as very feasible.
