Abstract

The aim of this research is 1) to find out what assessments are used in science subjects at Riigi Algkooli 105292 Bandar Klippa, Percut Sei Tuan District, Class V, 2) to analyze the quality of assessment tools according to the rules. reliability and competence. Class V Science Exam Difficulties and Different Advantages of SD Negeri 105292 Bandar Klippa, Percut Sei Tuan District. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, namely. description of phenomena that occur in reality. All subjects were class V students at SD 105292 Bandar Klippa. As a primary data source, data sources are obtained from teachers and students, and as secondary data sources, documentation and questionnaires. Data was collected through observation, questionnaires and tests. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out using validation tests, test reliability, difficulty and distinguishing power. Validation was carried out by the researchers themselves and the validation expert group. Based on the results of observations, it is known that the question format used by teachers in evaluating scientific learning is multiple choice questions consisting of 15 questions, filler questions consisting of 10 numbers, and descriptive questions consisting of 10 questions. 15 questions. of 5 questions. The results of the validation test show that not all multiple choice questions are valid, only 4 out of 15 questions are valid. The form has 5 valid questions and all descriptive questions are recognized as valid. Expert validation also showed that of the 4 experts, only 1 expert showed that the results were quite valid, 3 validation experts showed that the questions were less valid. The reliability test shows that the multiple choice questions are not reliable, while the fill-in-the-blank and description questions are considered reliable. The difficulty level test shows that multiple choice questions have 3 categories of difficulty, namely hard, medium and easy questions, while for questions that can be filled in and are descriptive, only 2 categories of difficulty are found, namely. intermediate questions and easy questions. Finally, the differential power test shows that multiple choice questions have 4 different power categories, namely poor, sufficient, good, and very good. Meanwhile, there were excellent results on questions about filling in and describing different styles.

Abstract

The research was conducted at the Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of reading interest of students at Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School, to determine the level of media literacy abilities of Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School students, and to find out how much influence reading interest has on students' media literacy abilities at Sri Langkat Private Vocational School. Tanjung Pura. This research uses descriptive research methods with a quantitative approach. This quantitative approach emphasizes analysis in the form of numbers (numerical values) which are processed using statistical methods. In this case, researchers want to know how interest in reading influences students' media literacy skills at SMK S Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura. The results of this research show that interest in reading has gone well among students at the Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School. This was shown in the presentation as many as 23.10% answered strongly agree, 74.01% answered agree, 02.78% answered disagree, while 00.11% answered strongly disagree. Because many students have the motivation to read, feel happy when reading reading sources, and are not forced to read. Media Literacy Skills have also gone well among Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School students. This was shown in the presentation as many as 33.45% answered strongly agree, 65.48% answered agree, 01.07% answered disagree, while 00.00% answered strongly disagree. Because students already understand what kind of information they really need, students also know that information can only be obtained through any media such as books, the internet, newspapers, magazines or encyclopedias. And the influence of interest in reading on the media literacy abilities of Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School students has a strong influence which can be seen from the influence test, t test results and the results of the coefficient of determination R2. The results of the t test of Reading Interest as an independent variable on Media Literacy Ability as a dependent variable show the results of the t count = 9.001 and t table = 1.987 (t count > t table) with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that Reading Interest has a strong influence on Literacy Ability Media or in other words H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Poetry is one of the most interesting forms of literary work but is full of meaning. Poetry is a medium for conveying feelings and ideas with beautiful words. Poetry as a meaningful aesthetic work is also a recording and interpretation of human experience composed in the most memorable form. Poetry can make us laugh, cry, smile, think, reflect, be moved and even get emotional and angry. Until now, poetry can be an illustration of the cultural progress of society. How the writer of the poem views his world is a real picture of the culture that surrounds him. Because the progress of society from time to time always increases, bringing changes in the style, nature and form of poetry. Poetry changes following developments in taste, ever-changing aesthetic concepts, and intellectual progress. The aim of the research is stated in a sentence that explores or deepens the inner structure of poetry. The inner structure intended is: theme, tone, feeling and message. The method used in this research is descriptive analytical method. This method also attempts to describe facts logically. Through this method, the researcher tries to analyze the inner structure of Joko Pinurbo's poem entitled "Happy Birthday, Book", while the analysis of this poem is described in his own words and language.

Abstract

Cognitive development is an important aspect of children's growth, playing a crucial role in their ability to learn, think and solve problems. Children at elementary school age, who are approximately 6 to 12 years old, experience significant progress in their cognitive development. At this stage, they begin to develop abstract thinking skills, expand their vocabulary, and hone their problem-solving abilities. The literature review research methodology is a research approach that aims to investigate and synthesize relevant literature related to a particular topic. In this methodology, researchers collect, evaluate, and reconstruct information from various literary sources such as scientific journals, books, research reports, and other scientific articles. The primary goal of literature review research is to present a comprehensive understanding of an existing research topic, identify knowledge gaps, and provide a framework for further research. This theory covers the stages of children's cognitive development, including the concrete operations stage which often occurs in elementary school age children. The important role of teachers and a supportive learning environment in elementary schools is crucial in optimizing children's cognitive development. Apart from that, support from parents also plays an important role in providing appropriate stimulus and providing opportunities for children to explore their interests and talents.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of obtaining information regarding teacher’s obstacles in providing assessments of grade 1 elementary school students during the independent curriculum learning process at Pelangi Elementary School in Medan. The structure used by researchers in this research is a qualitative approach and using descriptive methods. This qualitative approach is used to be able to define, formulate and dig deeper into everything related to this research. The results of this research prove that the obstacle for teachers in assessing students’ readiness for the learning process is that teacher have difficulty in overcoming students’ politeness, discipline and cooperation. To overcome obstacles in assessing attitudes in independent curriculum learning, teacjer hold discussion activites with other teachers and collaborate with students’ parents

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of implementing Ice Breaking on the learning motivation of Christian Religious Education and Character Education for class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Sitio Tio, Samosir Regency, Academic Year 2023/2024. The method in this research is a pre-experimental design research method in the form of "One Shot Case Study". The population is all class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Sitio-tio Samosir Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 105 people and a sample of 35 people was determined using a purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 31 items, namely 15 items for variable Samosir Regency for the 2023/2024 Academic Year is known based on: 1) Analysis requirements test: a) positive relationship test obtained by the value rxy = 0.580 > rtable(=0.05,n=35) = 0.334. b) Testing a significant relationship obtained tcount= 4.090 > ttable(=0.05, dk=n-2=33)= 2.042. 2) Influence test: a) Regression equation test, obtained the regression equation Y ̂="36.05"+0.71X. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r2) = 33.6%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fcount > Ftable=(=0.05, dk numerator k=15, dk denominator=n-2=35-2=33) namely 16.70 > 2.01. Thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

This research aims to examine whether the improvement in students' mathematical reasoning abilities who use the Group Investigation learning model is better than the abilities of students who use the Group Investigation learning model. Apart from that, it also reveals the students' attitudes towards the Group Investigation learning model. The method in this research is experimental and research design using pretest and posttest in experimental and control classes. The population in this study were all students in class X OTKP SMKN 1 Cipanas, Cianjur Regency. Samples were taken at random from class, namely from six classes, two classes totaling 32 students were obtained, where class X OTKP 1 was the experimental class and class X OTKP 2 was the control class. The experimental class uses the Group Investigation learning model, while the control class uses conventional learning. Research data was obtained through instruments in the form of pretest and posttest mathematical reasoning abilities, student attitude scales, and observation sheets. Pretest data was processed through a normality test, homogeneity test, and equality of two means test, while posttest data was processed through a normality test, homogeneity test, and difference of two means test using SPSS 16 software. The results showed that the mathematical reasoning abilities of students who used the Group learning model Investigation is better than the ability of students who use conventional learning. Students show an attitude of confidence, self-confidence, actively involve themselves in discussions and are persistent in the Group Investigation learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how role-playing games can be used to support language development in children aged 6 to 7 years. The research method used is an experimental method, where the population in this research is all second grade elementary school students. The technique used in this research is by Using observation and data collection techniques using role-playing questionnaires was very effective and efficient in class II elementary school because from the results of planning, implementation and observation, success reached 90%, that role-playing can improve students' vocabulary, communication and linguistics

This research delves into the intricate relationships depicted in William Shakespeare's “Hamlet”, with a focus on Hamlet's interactions with female characters. It aims to unravel the complexities of these relationships, shedding light on Shakespeare's portrayal of gender dynamics, power struggles, and emotional entanglements. Employing a qualitative approach, the study analyzes interactions between Hamlet and characters like Ophelia and Gertrude, drawing from primary texts and scholarly analyses. Primary data sources include the original text of “Hamlet” and reputable academic commentaries, complemented by secondary sources like critical essays and historical contextualizations. Data collection involves meticulous examination of relevant play passages, supported by insights from literary criticism spanning different eras. Contemporary perspectives in gender, psychology, and cultural studies enrich understanding of character motivations. Thematic coding, textual analysis, and comparative examinations uncover patterns in Hamlet's interactions, exploring themes such as love, betrayal, and power dynamics. This research contributes to literary scholarship and broader discussions on gender and societal norms, revealing nuanced portrayals and female resilience within patriarchal constraints.
