Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Human Resource Competence and Digital Marketing Adoption on the Growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Southeast Aceh Regency. Employing a causal quantitative approach with a survey design, data were collected through structured questionnaires from 120 MSME owners selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression via IBM SPSS Statistics version 26.0. The results indicate that Human Resource Competence and Digital Marketing Adoption, both partially and simultaneously, have a positive and significant effect on MSME Business Growth. The adoption of digital marketing demonstrates a slightly more dominant contribution compared to human resource competence in accelerating sales turnover and market reach. Together, these two variables account for of the variance in business growth, while the remainder is influenced by external factors. The implications of this study emphasize that regional MSME acceleration strategies require an integrated approach combining human capital enhancement with technical assistance in digital marketing platforms. Local governments are expected to design digital-based business incubations to support MSME sustainability in Southeast Aceh Regency.

Abstract

Physical fitness is essential for aviation cadets because operational readiness requires sustained physical and psychological capacity. This study examined whether institutional parenting, exercise motivation, and the educational environment explain physical fitness among cadets at the Indonesian Aviation Academy Banyuwangi. An explanatory quantitative design was applied to 94 respondents using census sampling. Parenting, motivation, and educational environment were measured with five-point Likert instruments, while fitness was represented by objective performance indicators. Data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling and bootstrapping. The educational environment significantly predicted physical fitness (beta = 0.411, p = .001) and exercise motivation (beta = 0.370, p = .003). Exercise motivation predicted physical fitness (beta = 0.353, p = .004), while institutional parenting strongly predicted motivation (beta = 0.501, p < .001) but had no significant direct effect on fitness (beta = 0.193, p = .051). The indirect parenting-motivation-fitness effect was significant (beta = 0.177, p = .013). The model explained 75.0% of fitness variance. The findings indicate that supportive but structured parenting is most effective when it builds internal motivation, while a conducive educational environment provides the context needed to sustain cadets' fitness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic management in the MSME Gerai Adila Jambi and to identify the challenges faced in its application. The background of this research is based on the limited understanding of MSME actors regarding the concepts and principles of Islamic management in business operations, as well as the discrepancies between current business practices and the Islamic management principles that should be applied. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants in this study include the owner and employees of MSME Gerai Adila Jambi. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of Islamic management in MSME Gerai Adila Jambi has not been fully optimal. Several Islamic principles such as honesty, fairness, and responsibility have been applied in business activities; however, some aspects are still not fully aligned with comprehensive Islamic management principles. The limited understanding of business actors is the main factor influencing this condition. In addition, the absence of clear guidelines and the lack of training and education related to Islamic management also hinder its effective implementation. In conclusion, the implementation of Islamic management in MSME Gerai Adila Jambi still requires improvement, particularly in terms of understanding and consistent application of Islamic principles. Therefore, efforts such as education, training, and assistance are needed to help MSME actors implement Islamic management more effectively and in accordance with established principles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competitiveness and entrepreneurial orientation on the sustainability of rendang culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Payakumbuh City. The study employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive survey design. The population consisted of 30 rendang culinary MSME owners, all of whom were selected as research respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Primary data were collected through questionnaires based on a five-point Likert scale and supported by observation and interviews. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The findings indicate that competitiveness has a positive and significant effect on MSME sustainability, with a path coefficient of 0.639, a t-statistic of 5.114, and a p-value of 0.000. These results suggest that stronger competitiveness enhances the long-term sustainability of rendang culinary MSMEs. In contrast, entrepreneurial orientation shows a positive but statistically insignificant effect on sustainability, with a path coefficient of 0.175, a t-statistic of 1.262, and a p-value of 0.207. This finding implies that entrepreneurial orientation alone is insufficient to improve business sustainability without adequate supporting resources, managerial capabilities, and market access. Overall, the study concludes that competitiveness is the primary determinant of the sustainability of rendang culinary MSMEs in Payakumbuh City and should be strengthened through product differentiation, quality improvement, and strategic market development.

Abstract

Air transport and logistics require graduates who can combine operational knowledge with managerial, digital, and adaptive capabilities. This study develops an industry-oriented managerial competency framework as a basis for designing an Applied Bachelor program in Air Transport and Logistics in Indonesia. A qualitative descriptive-exploratory needs-analysis design is used. The source framework integrates curriculum documents, competency standards, industry literature, and a purposive stakeholder-validation plan involving study-program leaders and operational managers or supervisors in aviation and logistics. The document-informed analysis identifies six interrelated competency domains: strategic planning, decision-making and problem solving, leadership, communication and cross-functional coordination, operational and supply-chain management, and digital adaptability. These domains indicate that an applied curriculum should integrate work-based learning, industry projects, digital logistics applications, and recurrent curriculum review with industry partners. The study contributes a structured basis for narrowing the education-industry skills gap while retaining the applied character of vocational higher education. Empirical stakeholder validation remains necessary before the competency architecture is translated into final graduate learning outcomes and course structures.

Abstract

The aviation industry operates under rapid technological, regulatory, safety, competitive, and customer-driven change, making Organizational agility a critical capability. This study examines the effects of Strategic leadership and Learning organization on Organizational agility in the Indonesian aviation industry. The research design follows a quantitative explanatory approach with purposive sampling of 200 airline employees who meet the criteria of permanent employment, at least one year of tenure, and involvement in managerial, operational, learning, or decision-related activities. The instrument comprises 25 Likert-scale items and the analytical model uses multiple linear regression with SPSS-equivalent procedures. For manuscript-development purposes, the statistical workflow is demonstrated using a controlled synthetic dataset of 200 observations because the source material did not include raw respondent data. Within this analytical dataset, all indicators exceeded the item-validity threshold, construct reliability was high (Cronbach's alpha = .909-.915), regression assumptions were satisfied, and the overall model was significant (R² = .543; F = 116.967; p < .001). Strategic leadership showed a positive association with Organizational agility (β = .282; p < .001), while Learning organization showed the stronger association (β = .619; p < .001). The findings illustrate how strategic direction and continuous organizational learning can jointly strengthen Organizational agility, while empirical claims must ultimately be confirmed using actual field data.

Abstract

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for occupational safety and hygiene-sanitation function not only as compliance instruments but as operational control mechanisms that shape resource allocation, risk exposure, and service-Quality consistency in hotel kitchen operations. This study analyzes and compares the operational management of these SOPs at two hospitality properties, New York Hotel Johor Bahru (Malaysia) and The Westin Yilan Resort (Taiwan), viewed through an operations-management lens rather than a purely occupational-health perspective. Using participatory observation and mentorship-based operational engagement during industrial work practice, data were collected on personal protective equipment (PPE) provisioning, first aid readiness, food labeling systems, cold-storage temperature control, and sanitation task ownership. Findings show that The Westin Yilan Resort has institutionalized SOP compliance through centralized resource allocation, automated temperature monitoring, and dedicated sanitation staffing, reflecting strong managerial commitment to operational standardization. New York Hotel Johor Bahru, in contrast, delegates SOP execution to individual staff through informal, self-funded arrangements, indicating decentralized and under-resourced operational control. The comparison suggests that consistent SOP compliance in kitchen operations depends less on the SOP document itself than on management's willingness to allocate dedicated resources and personnel to sustain it.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of toxic organizational culture on work resilience and turnover intention, with job stress and emotional exhaustion as mediating variables among Generation Z private-sector employees in Denpasar, Bali. A quantitative explanatory design was employed using survey data from 150 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Respondents were Generation Z employees aged 17–30 years with at least one year of work experience. Data were measured using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that toxic organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on work resilience, job stress, and emotional exhaustion, but has no significant direct effect on turnover intention. Job stress significantly increases turnover intention and significantly mediates the relationship between toxic organizational culture and turnover intention. In contrast, emotional exhaustion does not significantly mediate the relationships examined. The model explains 52.2% of work resilience and 97.8% of turnover intention. These findings indicate that turnover intention emerges primarily through accumulated job stress rather than a direct response to toxic culture, highlighting the importance of organizational interventions that reduce workplace stress and toxic practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the effects of macroeconomic variables, namely Economic Growth, Inflation, and Exchange Rate, on the profitability of Islamic Commercial Banks and Conventional Commercial Banks in Indonesia during 2019–2025, both directly and indirectly through the Bank Indonesia Interest Rate (BI Rate) as an intervening variable. This quantitative study employs path analysis, with hypothesis testing based on path coefficients, t-statistics, and p-values. The results show that Economic Growth and Exchange Rate have positive and significant effects on the BI Rate, while Inflation has no significant effect. For Islamic Commercial Banks, Economic Growth and Exchange Rate have positive and significant effects on profitability, whereas Inflation has no significant effect. The BI Rate has a negative and significant effect on Islamic banks' profitability and significantly mediates the effects of Economic Growth and Exchange Rate in a negative direction. For Conventional Commercial Banks, Economic Growth, Inflation, and Exchange Rate have positive and significant effects on profitability, while the BI Rate has a positive but insignificant effect. Furthermore, the BI Rate does not significantly mediate the effects of the three macroeconomic variables on conventional banks' profitability. These findings indicate differences in monetary policy transmission and macroeconomic sensitivity between Islamic and conventional banking sectors in Indonesia.
