Abstract

The volatility of plastic packaging costs poses a serious challenge to the sustainability of food and beverage MSMEs because it directly impacts the production cost structure, product price stability, and business profitability. This condition encourages the importance of integrating financial, marketing, and management information systems as an adaptive strategy to improve MSME business resilience. This study aims to analyze the effect of integrating financial, marketing, and management information systems on the ability of MSMEs to overcome plastic packaging cost volatility, as well as to examine the mediating role of decision-making quality. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 300 food and beverage MSMEs in the Jabodetabek area. Data collection techniques were carried out using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics through multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis. The results show that the integration of financial, marketing, and management information systems has a positive and significant effect on the ability of MSMEs to cope with plastic packaging cost volatility. The quality of decision-making was also shown to significantly mediate this relationship. This study implies that digital transformation based on information systems integration is an important strategy in improving operational efficiency, business adaptability, and resilience of MSMEs in situations of production cost uncertainty.

Abstract

Seafarer fatigue due to lack of rest time is a critical safety issue in maritime operations, especially on short-route container ships with high docking frequencies. This research was conducted at MV. Warih Mas, a container ship owned by PT. Temas Shipping, which experienced a work accident in 2025 related to overtime exceeding the provisions  of the 2006 Maritime Labour Convention (MLC). The purpose of the study was to describe the implementation of rest time management in accordance with MLC 2006 Regulation 2.3, identify internal and external factors that affect the implementation, analyze the impact of non-optimal rest management on crew performance, and evaluate optimization efforts carried out. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques with the Captain, Mualim I, and the Head of the Engine Room, complemented by observation and documentation studies. The validity of the data was guaranteed through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The results showed that the management of rest hours had been carried out through guard schedules, recording of Hours of Work and Rest, and supervision of senior officers, but in the period of 11-14 February 2025 there was overtime due to engine damage, equipment repairs, low crew awareness, and high frequency of docking. The impacts that arise include decreased concentration, productivity, physical and mental health, and an increased risk  of human error. Optimization efforts through safety meetings, supervision, and work recording have shown positive results, but consistency in the implementation  of the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and strengthening the fatigue management culture  remain top priorities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Bohusami Young Savings Product Quality on Customer Satisfaction at PT Bank SulutGo. The research is motivated by the importance of product quality as a key determinant of customer satisfaction amid increasingly competitive conditions in the banking industry, particularly for savings products targeted at the younger generation. This study employed a quantitative method with an associative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 43 respondents, consisting of students at Politeknik Negeri Manado who are customers of the Bohusami Young savings product, using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS version 4. The results show that Product Quality has a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction, with a path coefficient (original sample) of 0.795, a T-statistic of 15.528 (> 1.96), and a P-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.632 indicates that Product Quality explains 63.2% of the variation in Customer Satisfaction, while the remaining 36.8% is explained by other factors outside the research model. Thus, the better the perceived quality of the Bohusami Young product, the higher the level of Customer Satisfaction at PT Bank SulutGo.

Abstract

Oil palm cooperatives are an important pillar in the economic development of rural communities, particularly in areas where oil palm plantations are concentrated. This study aims to develop a model for improving the performance of oil palm cooperatives through strengthening leadership, organizational culture, and technological innovation in Seberida District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The data consisted of primary and secondary data collected through interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using instrument tests, classical assumption tests, model feasibility tests, path analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that leadership has a positive and significant effect on cooperative performance. Organizational culture also has a positive and significant effect on cooperative performance. Furthermore, leadership and organizational culture each have a positive and significant effect on technological innovation. Technological innovation has a positive and significant effect on cooperative performance. Indirectly, leadership influences cooperative performance through technological innovation, indicating that technological innovation mediates this relationship. A similar finding was observed in the relationship between organizational culture and cooperative performance through technological innovation. Therefore, strengthening leadership, organizational culture, and technological innovation is essential for improving the sustainable performance of oil palm cooperatives. These factors can support cooperatives in enhancing their competitiveness, strengthening organizational management, and improving the economic welfare of their members.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the synergy between personal selling and digital marketing via social media in increasing vehicle sales volume at Astra Daihatsu Martadinata Paal 2, Manado City; to analyze its impact on sales volume; and to identify obstacles and solutions regarding the integration of these two strategies. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis, utilizing the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which encompasses data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Preliminary results indicate that the synergy between personal selling and digital marketing operates through a phased and complementary process. Social media platforms—specifically Facebook Marketplace and TikTok—are utilized to build personal branding, raise awareness, disseminate product information, and generate leads or prospective customers. Subsequently, these leads are followed up through direct personal selling to explore customer needs, explain products, negotiate, and ultimately close sales. Initial findings show that approximately 70–80% of the total vehicles sold monthly by the informant originate from social media prospects, with an average sales volume of 6–7 units per month. Meanwhile, face-to-face interactions preceded by trust-building via social media demonstrate an estimated sales closure rate of 80–90%. The primary obstacles to implementing this synergy include inconsistent follow-up processes for leads generated via social media and a lack of systematic recording and monitoring of prospective customer data. Therefore, a more structured lead database system, consistent follow-up, strengthened personal branding for sales personnel, and the optimization of social media as part of an integrated marketing strategy are required. In conclusion, the synergy between personal selling and digital marketing via social media holds the potential to enhance marketing effectiveness and vehicle sales volume at Astra Daihatsu Martadinata Paal 2. However, these findings remain preliminary, as this stage of the research is based on a single informant and requires validation through source and technique triangulation.
