Abstract

Multiculturalism is a complex reality that requires a careful approach in managing citizenship education. This study will focus on how civic education management can effectively manage the challenges that arise due to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in the educational context. This research aims to investigate the role of civic education management in facing the challenges of multiculturalism in the educational environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The results of this research reveal that the implementation of Citizenship Education Management (PPKn) has a positive impact in facing the challenges of multiculturalism. Inclusive curriculum design, teacher training to manage heterogeneous classes, establishing an inclusive school environment, facilitating intercultural dialogue, and ongoing program evaluation have been proven to make significant contributions in shaping student character that is responsive to cultural diversity. The research results show that PPKn is not only a vehicle for conveying civic information, but is also effective as a tool for forming inclusive attitudes, a deep understanding of differences, and adaptability skills in a multicultural society. In conclusion, the holistic implementation of PPKn can have a positive impact on the formation of a generation that has a sense of nationality, love of the country, and is able to become an agent of positive change in an increasingly complex society.

Abstract

NaOCl is often used in various sterilization techniques with various concentrations and soaking times. In addition to NaOCL which is used for explant sterilization, 70% alcohol is also often used for the explant sterilization process. Usually mushrooms or fungi will die if exposed to a 70% alcohol solution. The aim of the study was to determine the method of sterilization with NaOCl concentration followed by immersion in alcohol on the acquisition of sterile explants of kepok banana plant. The research was conducted at the Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, UPN Veteran, East Java. The research design used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), the treatment consisted of 6 sterilization treatments namely (S1), (S2), (S3), (S4), (S5), (S6). The results showed that there was no effect between the concentration of NaOCl sterilization and the duration of immersion in alcohol on the percentage of live explants and the percentage of contaminated explants, and the sterilization method used can produce live and sterile explants with an average yield of below 50%, but in treatment (S6) 25% NaOCl + 70% alcohol for 30 minutes is able to produce 30% live and sterile explants. Various sterilization methods used gave good results on the percentage of stagnant explants.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of moromi fermentation on soluble protein content, sugar content and viscosity, with varying salt treatments for 28 days. as well as organoleptic tests. The research design used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatment included fermenting black soybeans by A sojae (Koji) then soaking them in 1000 ml of water with the addition of 0%, 10%, 20% and 30% salt for 28 days (moromi). The parameters analyzed are protein content, sugar content and viscosity and organoleptic tests include color, aroma and taste. The research results showed that the highest protein content was found in the K1 treatment at 1.522%, the sugar content in K1 was 41.227% and the viscosity in K3 was 33.603%. Meanwhile, in terms of organoleptic color, aroma and taste, the panelists liked the product.

Abstract

This research investigates the chronopharmacological effects of Ramipril administration on hypertensive patients, focusing on the timing of drug intake. Studies conducted by Firli Choerun Nisa and Siti Rohmiati in 2022 provide the basis for this analysis. Using observational-analytic methods with cross-sectional designs, data were collected prospectively from 23 patients in each study. Firli Choerun Nisa's study at RSUD Singaparna Medika Citrautama, Tasikmalaya Regency, involved 14 patients in the light zeitgeber group and 9 in the dark zeitgeber group. Results indicated significant reductions in both systolic and diastolic blood pressures, with the dark zeitgeber group experiencing more substantial decreases. The SPSS analysis showed a p-value of 0.062, indicating no statistically significant difference between the groups. Siti Rohmiati's study at RSUD Dr. Soekardjo Tasikmalaya found similar results. The light zeitgeber group showed a systolic decrease of 9.9 mmHg and a diastolic decrease of 5 mmHg, while the dark zeitgeber group had decreases of 16.66 mmHg and 10.56 mmHg, respectively. The SPSS analysis also yielded a p-value of 0.062, supporting the conclusion of no significant difference in Ramipril's efficacy based on administration timing. The comprehensive analyses revealed that Ramipril effectively reduces blood pressure regardless of the administration time. Significant reductions in both the daytime and nighttime groups were noted, with trends suggesting a more pronounced effect during nighttime administration. These findings emphasize the importance of flexibility in medication timing, enhancing patient adherence without compromising therapeutic outcomes. In conclusion, the timing of Ramipril administration, whether in the morning or evening, does not significantly impact its effectiveness in managing hypertension. This flexibility offers practical benefits for clinical practice, supporting better patient adherence and optimized hypertension management. These studies contribute to the broader understanding of chronopharmacology, providing insights for improved treatment strategies in hypertensive care.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of global geopolitics through the collective strategy of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) in facing Western domination, as well as to evaluate its implications for Indonesia from both political and economic perspectives. In the current multipolar era, BRICS seeks to strengthen its bargaining position through strategic cooperation in economics, finance, and global diplomacy. This study employs a qualitative approach using literature review methods, including the analysis of official documents, academic journals, and international news sources. The findings show that BRICS plays a strategic role in responding to Western dominance by enhancing multilateral cooperation, reforming global governance, and developing a more inclusive and alternative economic system. Initiatives such as the establishment of the New Development Bank (NDB), strengthening collective defense, and advancing renewable energy development reflect member states’ efforts to establish a more balanced world order. For Indonesia, BRICS presents significant opportunities in market access, infrastructure financing, and trade diversification. However, Indonesia must remain cautious of geopolitical challenges and the competition among emerging economies, and must formulate an adaptive foreign policy to fully capitalize on the benefits presented by these global shifts.
