Abstract

Raw materials as the most important factors in production activities, are obtained from suppliers. Suppliers are partners who ensure the availability of raw materials for the continuity of the company's production. Therefore, it is necessary for companies to choose the right supplier. The problem that occurs in Pak Wit's Tofu SME is that SMEs often change suppliers in procuring soybean raw materials because the SMEs do not have a fixed soybean supplier. This fact results in no certainty of raw materials from the supplier so that SMEs often experience a shortage of quality raw materials. This study aims to select the best supplier according to the criteria set by SMEs. There are 4 suppliers who are candidates with 4 criterias (price, quality, service and flexibility in delivery) used in choosing the best supplier. This research uses AHP to weight the criteria and TOPSIS to rank suppliers. The results of calculations with AHP found that the quality criteria were the first priority, with a value of 0.58. While with the TOPSIS method it was found that supplier 2 was the selected supplier with the highest preference of 0.941.

Abstract

Banyuwangi Festival is an annual event that is a product of regional leading attractions. This event has attracted the attention of tourists from home and abroad, as well as made a significant contribution in improving the economic, tourism and human resources sectors in Banyuwangi. However, the management of Banyuwangi Festival has not used an effective integrated information system. The current ineffectiveness of business partner management is because the follow-up of cooperation is carried out manually at coordination meetings. The purpose of this study is to design an information system that can support effective business partner management, at the Banyuwangi Festival. Odoo's open-source ERP application is used to support the management of business partners on the CRM module. The design of the ERP concept using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method aims to design system needs that can pay attention to user needs. The result of this study is the effectiveness of monitoring and controlling the progress of business partners for the preparation of the Banyuwangi Festival event which is integrated in the form of a dashboard.

Abstract

The tourism sector holds a pivotal role in Indonesia's economic landscape, particularly in Banyuwangi, where substantial growth has been witnessed. The Banyuwangi Festival, orchestrated annually by the Banyuwangi Regency Government through the Department of Culture and Tourism, stands as a flagship program contributing significantly to the upswing in tourist visits. Despite its prominence, the planning process for the Banyuwangi Festival involves multiple stakeholders, necessitating seamless coordination for comprehensive preparation. Unfortunately, the current reliance on spreadsheet tools diminishes the effectiveness of this process. Consequently, there is a pressing need for an advanced system to proficiently oversee the intricate planning of Banyuwangi Festival events. This research undertakes the ambitious task of conceptualizing and designing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to address these challenges. Leveraging Odoo ERP, with the event module serving as the primary component and the website module as an additional feature, the study adopts the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. This method is chosen to align with the specific requirements of the Banyuwangi Regency Culture and Tourism Department, which serves as the central coordinator for the Banyuwangi Festival. The outcome of this research is a sophisticated ERP system meticulously crafted to streamline three crucial processes: the submission of event proposals by the public or external entities, the event registration process, and the scheduling of meetings. This comprehensive ERP solution is poised to significantly enhance the Culture and Tourism Department's ability to manage and optimize the intricate planning of Banyuwangi Festival events, ultimately leading to more efficient business processes.

Abstract

Differences in cultural dimensions across countries can influence approaches and behavior patterns in education. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of culture on problem-solving and decision-making in student projects in Indonesia and Germany. A comparative approach between the two countries identifies significant cultural differences in power distance, individualism, masculinity, uncertainty avoidance, long-term orientation, and indulgence. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Data was collected through interviews and observations of students involved in the project. The study results show that cultural differences affect students' approaches to problem-solving and decision-making. In Indonesia, group cooperation and conformity to social norms play an important role, while independence and critical thinking are prioritized in Germany. The implications of this research are the importance of increasing cultural awareness, developing collaborative skills, increasing independence and critical thinking, and empowering students with cultural knowledge. By understanding cultural differences and taking the right steps, educators can create an inclusive learning environment and prepare students to face the challenges of an increasingly globalized world.

Abstract

The sales report of SMEs at the Banyuwangi Festival is an indicator of the success of the festival. In the process of collecting the sales report, the Banyuwangi Tourism and Culture Office, as the current responsible party, still does it without an information system, making the management of the sales report of SMEs at the Banyuwangi Festival inefficient. Using the Rapid Application Diagram (RAD) method, the design of an ERP system in the form of a point of sale module based on the Odoo application at the Banyuwangi Tourism and Culture Office and the Banyuwangi Festival SMEs is carried out to obtain an efficient process of collecting the sales report of SMEs at the Banyuwangi Festival. The design using the RAD method is carried out to obtain results that are in line with user needs. The results of this research show that the designed ERP system can improve business process efficiency for institutions and efficient sales management for SMEs. The impact of this research is expected to improve data management accuracy, increase collaboration, and optimize sales of Banyuwangi Festival SME products.

Abstract

PT. X is a garment industry company that produces clothing products. PT. X has not implemented a maintenance or machine maintenance system. Currently, the company only performs machine maintenance when they are damaged. This causes losses for the company because it can disrupt the smooth running of the production process, such as sudden engine damage, which can cause high machine downtime. Therefore, maintenance of machines is needed in the form of a schedule for replacing and checking cutting machine components with a Preventive maintenance approach to support the production process at the company. In addition to generating replacement schedules and inspecting engine components, Implementing the proposed Preventive maintenance takes the scheduling for maintenance and cleaning of cutting machines. After the replacement schedule and inspection of engine components are generated, it will affect the inventory of engine components. The inventory system proposed is the inventory system model P. Model P is chosen because it is in accordance with the condition of the company and meets the requirements of the model P inventory system. The P inventory system produces a cost of Rp. 22,508,709.

Abstract

PT Kharisma Plastik Indo (PT KPI) is a company that produces recycled plastics and cassava-based plastics. The main product produced by PT KPI is trash bags which have 2 variants, namely black and green. Currently, the company is faced with the problem of stacking finished goods in storage. In carrying out the production, the company uses daily targets without looking at historical sales data. This study aims to estimate the number of trash bag production using the Linear Regression forecasting method, make aggregate production planning using the Linear Programming method, and disaggregate to determine production schedule of each variant with the percentage of sales method. Forecasting demand for trash bag in October 2022 – February 2023 respectively are 10,061 kg, 9,844 kg, 9,627 kg, 9,410 kg and 9,193 kg. The aggregate planning resulted the total production of trash bags in October - December 2022 respectively are 3,999 kg in normal hours, 9,729 kg in normal hours and 115 kg in overtime, and 9,627 kg in normal hours. January – February 2023 in normal hours are 9,410 kg and 9,193 kg. The disaggregation obtained the trash bag production schedule for October 2022 – February 2023 respectively are 2,131 kg of the black and 1,868 kg of the green, 5,245 kg of the black and 4,599 kg of the green, 5,129 kg of the black and 4,498 kg of the green, 5,014 kg of the black and 4,396 kg of the green, and 4,898 kg of the black and 4,295 kg of the green.

Abstract

PT. Adi Sarana Logistik (PT ASL) is a company engaged in the warehouse and logistics sector, which delivers many packages daily. Previously, manual scheduling took a long time, and there were violations of working hours regulations. The research was conducted at the outbound division, in picker and dispatcher units for leaders and operational staff, where the number of operational staff varies each month, so there are four schedules were produced where this study aims to minimize overtime hours for each level of staffs and units by Goal Programming and Binary Integer Programming which are completed with LINGO 18.0. The results of this study have been implemented in the company, where the schedule only takes a few seconds, while previously, it took 1-2 days. The scheduling carried out in this study is in October 2022, where all employees for leaders and staff in each unit have 22 working days, nine days off, 1 hour of overtime, and follow the rules.

Abstract

PT. Medion Farma Jaya is a company that produces livestock equipment, parts, and plastic packaging. One of the products produced by PT. Medion Farma Jaya is a 5-CC measuring spoon. This mass production process is based on what the company needs to package it with other products, or that can be from customer orders. This research is focused on the 5 CC measuring spoon product (SEN5CC) because, according to the company's 2021 historical data, there is a large percentage of rejected or defective products. Because of these problems, things can be done. The effect on the response to defective products is the setting of the injection Moulding machine by trial and error. Therefore, this research aims to find optimal settings for the machine for injection molding so that it can improve the quality of the product. To find out the optimal settings in this research, the response surface method was used. Based on this method is useful for getting the optimal level of factors or parameters that are significant to the response results. Based on research results, the factors used significantly influence optimal results, namely the melting temperature factor of 260 °C, holding pressure of 30 bar, and injection pressure of 62 bar. Therefore, the predicted response value was -25.1667, which meets the minimum target for the rejected product.

Abstract

The intense competition between developers, resulting in efforts to determine users' needs, is increasingly important. Usability An application can affect the continuity of application use. In this study, the user's loyalty is also used to analyze usability. This study examines user perceptions about user interaction characteristics when interacting with the mobile commerce application and considers users' loyalty. This research is essential to find out the needs of users of a mobile commerce application, which can be input to the developer in the design stage. This study uses 149 respondents' online shopping transactions in Jabadetabek and outside Jabodetabek, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) model. The results showed that users' perception of effectiveness, satisfaction, and learning influenced usability. This model can explain 42.6% of the user's usability variation when using it. This model can explain the usability of the Mobile Commerce application quite well. As a practical implication, this study shows the factors that support the characteristics of user interaction and application systems at the stage of defining the requirements for developing mobile commerce applications.
