Bidang pastoral meliputi kepemimpinan dan pelayanan kristiani, permasalahan Jemaat, etika pelayanan kontemporer, hidup menggereja dalam konteks multikultural, keberagaman agama-agama, keberpihakan kepada kaum miskin dan marginal, keadilan perdamaian, dan keutuhan ciptaan. Bidang pendidikan agama meliputi pendidikan (formal and informal) agama Islam-Kristen-Katolik-Budha-Hindu-Konghucu dalam perspektif interreligious studies, multikultural, dan moderasi beragama berupa desain program, strategi pembelajaran dan kurikulum, sejarah dan filsafat, metodologi, psikologi, etika profesi guru, evaluasi, dan manajemen. Bidang katekese meliputi pengembangan ilmu dan praktik katekese di lingkup paroki, keluarga, dan sekolah.

<![CDATA[There are actions of Christians who no longer live by maintaining holiness in their daily behavior, and the importance of living life as believers by maintaining holiness before God. This article aims to provide a correct understanding of the writings of the Apostle Peter regarding the importance of maintaining a life of holiness so that it can be significant in the lives of believers, especially for the next generation of the Church. This research uses qualitative methods, by analyzing various sources such as books, journals, articles related to the title to be discussed. The results of the analysis see that it is very important for believers to maintain holiness for God. Every believer, not only the simple people, is expected to live in holiness by avoiding all uncleanness for God. The contents of this article are intended to make readers aware of the importance of living a holy life. It is hoped that this research will be able to contribute to the ideas of every reader, especially Christians, so that they can maintain the holiness of their lives properly and fear God.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper examines the transformation of the spiritual life of the Rubiah Pasionis-Malang sisters through the practice of liturgical catechesis, highlighting their contribution and role in the life of the Catholic church. A qualitative approach was used with a focus on spiritual experiences and daily changes influenced by liturgical catechesis. Data were collected through in-depth interview (April 25-28, 2024), highlighting the role of liturgical catechesis in shaping spiritual perceptions, values and actions. The purpose of this study was to deepen the understanding of the influence of liturgical catechesis on the transformation of the spiritual life of the Rubiah Pasionis and its relationship with their contemplative life in the Catholic church. The findings show that liturgical catechesis strengthens faith, deepens understanding of doctrine, and motivates engagement in spiritual practices. These findings are important in understanding the contribution of Rubiah Pasionis sisters in maintaining the spiritual life of the Catholic community they live in. This research also aims to explore the impact of liturgical catechesis on the transformation of Rubiah Pasionis' spiritual life, highlighting their vital role in the Catholic church. By highlighting the role of liturgical catechesis, this research provides insights into how Rubiahs enrich and deepen their spiritual experience in the church. By emphasizing a deep understanding of religious teachings, the Rubiahs are able to maintain their spiritual commitment in a simple and dedicated lifestyle. This gives a fuller picture of how liturgical catechesis not only affects the spiritual aspect, but also shapes daily behavior and attitudes towards life as a whole.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to evaluate the impact of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method on students' analytical and critical thinking skills. Data were collected from 230 respondents, consisting of students who participated in learning using the PBL method. The results of the study indicate that PBL has a very positive impact on improving students' critical and analytical thinking abilities. More than 90% of respondents agreed that PBL helped them think deeply and analytically. Group discussions in PBL were also found to be effective in enhancing material comprehension, with most respondents feeling the benefits. PBL also made it easier for students to remember and apply the material by linking theory to practice. Moreover, this method increased students' confidence in analyzing material and helped them draw conclusions based on valid data and arguments. The study concludes that PBL significantly improves students' analytical skills, critical thinking, and material understanding.]]>

<![CDATA[In today's life, humans are faced with various challenges. A mature way of thinking is needed. Critical thinking is one of the thinking processes that is qualified in seeing, reading, analysing and responding to situations and issues that require solutions. Critical thinking is the process of analysing, examining and formulating judgements based on deeper thinking in addressing matters that need to be revealed. In this study, using descriptive qualitative research methods through a library research approach. As a result, it was found that the purpose of critical thinking is to reveal the truth by attacking and eliminating everything that is wrong, to reveal the truth. In building a critical mind, humans need the right foundation. Both in terms of knowledge and religion. In research related to building critical thinking skills is through a religious approach, in this case the Christian faith. The Bible is the basis of Christian life. The Bible is the authoritative Word of God in Christian life. The Bible as the foundation of critical thinking reveals that building critical thinking skills requires: Wisdom; Transformation of the intellect; and Testing and Evaluating everything before it is accepted and applied in life.]]>

<![CDATA[Love is the main principle in Christianity taught by Jesus and emphasized by the Apostle Paul as the fulfillment of the Law. In the context of Batak society, the Dalihan Na Tolu social system regulates social relations based on the principles of honor, solidarity, and responsibility. This research aims to analyze how the law of love in Paul's theology can be integrated with the principles of Dalihan Na Tolu to build contextual Christian ethics in Batak land without losing the essence of the gospel. This research uses a qualitative method with a theological and ethnographic study approach. Literature studies were conducted on biblical texts, Pauline theological sources, and references to Batak culture. Hermeneutic analysis was used to understand the concept of the law of love in Paul's theology, while a study of Dalihan Na Tolu was conducted to identify its relevance to Christian ethics. The results show that there are similar values between the law of love in Paul's theology and the principles of Dalihan Na Tolu, especially in terms of love, respect and solidarity. However, some aspects of Dalihan Na Tolu need to be criticized, especially in terms of social hierarchy that can lead to injustice. Therefore, cultural transformation is needed so that the principle of love taught in the Bible can become the basis of Christian ethics that are relevant to Batak society. This research contributes to the development of contextual theology and provides insight for the church and Batak community in applying the law of love in social and traditional life.]]>

<![CDATA[Paul's theology of the Kingdom of God provides a profound understanding of God's governance that is already present and continues to develop in the lives of humanity. This concept encourages Christians to live according to Christian values such as love, justice, forgiveness, and peace. In Batak society, which upholds the principles of Dalihan Na Tolu and mutual cooperation, the values of the Kingdom of God can be integrated with local traditions to create social harmony. Active participation in the community through customary practices and social activities becomes a tangible manifestation of Paul's teachings about the Kingdom of God. Furthermore, this understanding offers hope and strength to Batak Christians in facing life's challenges, making their identity as citizens of the Kingdom of God a source of spiritual motivation. The integration of Paul's theology and Batak culture not only enriches local traditions but also strengthens Christian faith identity within the community. Through this contextual approach, a synergy between faith and culture is created, positively impacting daily life.]]>

<![CDATA[The issue in this research is the lack of quality in learning, including in Catholic religious education. This certainly affects the instillation of values, which is the primary goal of learning. Therefore, the demand for teachers to become more professional is a key requirement. This study examines the role of Catholic Religious Education teachers in instilling Christian values. The research method used is qualitative, employing interview and documentation techniques to collect data. The data analysis technique for interview results involves reducing interview data, analyzing the results, and drawing conclusions. The interview process was conducted with Catholic religion teachers and students in three schools. This research was carried out in Sekadau Hulu District, involving three senior high schools in the district. The findings show that Catholic Religious Education teachers have not fully made the instillation of Christian values the primary goal of learning. The learning process tends to be merely formal, causing students to engage in it only as a graduation requirement. Teachers' preoccupation with administrative tasks also impacts the meaningfulness of the learning experience. The role of Catholic Religious Education teachers has not been maximized; learning is primarily a transfer of knowledge, and the practical activities carried out appear to have little meaningful impact on students.]]>

<![CDATA[This research analyzes the potential integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Catholic catechesis for Generation Z through a systematic literature review of 98 articles published between 2015-2024. Using the PRISMA approach and three-level thematic analysis, this study identifies significant transformations in digital catechesis methods, focusing on three main areas: personalization of faith formation, digital contextualization, and AI integration in spiritual assessment. Results show improvements in doctrinal understanding and sacramental participation when AI is appropriately implemented. The digital catechesis integrity and adaptive learning pathways frameworks provide guidance for implementation that balances technological innovation with fidelity to the Magisterium. This study contributes to developing catechesis models that are responsive to Generation Z's needs while maintaining the integrity of Catholic teaching.]]>

<![CDATA[Women continue to be victims of domestic violence, sexual harassment, and other forms of gender-based violence in various places. This research aims to deeply understand the synodality of the Church in shaping the congregation's understanding of gender. The meaning of synodality is closely related to the mission or service of the Church, which also involves women, thus requiring principles to further shape the understanding of gender from the perspective of Mulieris Dignitatem. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method where the tools used for data collection are observation and interviews. The research results show that the community's understanding of gender is still limited to the equality of men and women. Understanding how to honor women as partners in God's creation and act like God in holiness has not yet been fully realized in real life. All congregants must comprehend gender understanding in the Church to prevent discrimination that can cause women to feel marginalized and perceive themselves as a weak, small, alienated, and useless group. However, on the contrary, women must always be taken into account, especially their role in responding to God's work of salvation. Synodality becomes a bridge to understanding gender and a key to further understanding gender in the perspective of Mulieris Dignitatem.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to examine and understand how the tradition of “Maragat Tuak Bagot” (tapping palm sap) in the Batak community in the Central Tapanuli region reflects an ecological imagination that is in line with the principles of Catholic Eco-Theology (Laudato Si). This tradition is a cultural practice that contains ecological and spiritual meaning, in which the Batak people in the Central Tapanuli utilize natural resources in a sustainable manner and with full respect for the environment. Through a Catholic Eco-Theology approach, this research seeks to explore the theological values contained in this tradition and how these values are lived out in society. The research method used is qualitative and literature study. Field data was obtained by conducting in-depth interviews with community leaders and practitioners of the “Maragat Tuak Bagot” tradition. The research results show that the “Maragat Tuak Bagot” tradition not only has a socio-cultural function but also contains deep ecological messages. This practice contains reflections on the importance of maintaining natural balance, respecting creation, and involving the spiritual dimension. Apart from that, the “Maragat Tuak Bagot” tradition also represents the relationship between humans and nature which is in line with Catholic Eco-Theological teachings about human’s moral responsibility to care for the earth as a shared home. The results of this research provide an important contribution in enriching the discourse on ecology and theology in Indonesia, as well as offering a new perspective in environmental conservation efforts based on local wisdom and religious values.]]>
