Abstract

This study examines the moderating role of audit quality in the relationship between financial performance and firm value in the Indonesian banking sector from 2014 to 2023. Utilizing a quantitative explanatory design with Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) and Random Effects models, the research analyzes panel data from banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The financial performance variables investigated include Return on Assets (ROA), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Net Interest Margin (NIM), with firm value measured by Price to Book Value (PBV). Audit quality is proxied by the engagement of Big Four accounting firms. The findings indicate that CAR, ROA, and LDR significantly influence firm value. A key discovery is that audit quality significantly moderates these relationships: it strengthens the effect of ROA but weakens the impact of CAR and LDR on firm value, while demonstrating no significant moderating effect on the NIM relationship. The results underscore the critical role of high-quality external audits as a governance mechanism that enhances the credibility of financial reporting, mitigates information asymmetry, and thereby shapes how financial performance is valued by the market.

Abstract

Traditional milkfish pond farming represents and importan livelihood source for coastal communities, however, empirical information regarding income level and business efficiency in low input production systems remains limited. This study aimed to analyze productions cost s, revenue, income and economic efficiency of traditional milkfish farming in Sungai Undang village, Seruyan regency. A quantitatif survey approach was applied to 100 farmers selected using snowball sampling during one production cycle in 2025. Date were analyzed descriptively through the calculation of total cost, total revenue, income and the revenue cost ratio (R/C). The results showed an average production 0f 625 kg per cycle, generating an income of IDR 2.950.000 per cycle and an R/C ratio of 1,23, indicating that the business remains financially feasible with moderate efficiency. Most farmers were classified into feasible categories with limited profit margins. This condition is associated with high stocking density combined with reliance on natura feed, and low input fond management, resulting in suboptimal biological productivity but reduced production costs. These findings highlight  the role of traditional milkfish farming as a relatively stoble income source for coastal households and emphasize the need for improved simple technical management to enhance production performance and economic and efficiency.

Abstract

This study holds particular significance for small and medium-sized enterprises, where limited resources often necessitate the efficient conversion of strategic capabilities into measurable performance outcomes. The proposed conceptual model aims to elucidate the intricate relationships among these variables, providing a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms that underpin organizational performance in resource-constrained settings. The objective of this research is to explore the direct effects of dynamic capability and entrepreneurial orientation on innovation capability and organizational performance, as well as the mediating role of innovation capability in these relationships. The study employs a cross-sectional survey method, collecting data from 396 SMEs in Bali, Indonesia, using an online questionnaire. The data were analyzed using variance-based structural equation modeling. Results from the analysis reveal that dynamic capability has a strong positive effect on both innovation capability and organizational performance. Entrepreneurial orientation significantly impacts innovation capability, but its direct effect on organizational performance is negligible. However, innovation capability fully mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and organizational performance. The study also found that mediation analysis of innovation capability on dynamic capability to organizational performance suggest that there is almost no mediating effect.

Abstract

In general, studies on women's political representation in political parties tend to highlight issues In general, studies on women's political representation in political parties tend to highlight issues such as low quotas, gender bias, or a lack of structural support for female candidates. This perspective often positions women as victims of a masculine and hierarchical system, without sufficiently revealing the internal mechanisms of parties that actually open up space for women's active and strategic participation. This study examines the political candidacy process for women in the PDI-P. The success of PDI-P in Manado City in the 2024 elections, with a 40% quota for women as legislative candidates, has drawn attention to how candidate selection is conducted within the party. This research focuses on two main dimensions: inclusivity and decentralization in candidate selection. Although women's representation in the list of legislative candidates has formally reached or exceeded the 30% quota, few studies have highlighted how this selection process unfolds internally within the party's local structures. The internal institutional configuration of the party allows for the nomination of women not merely as an administrative obligation but as part of political strategy and cadre development. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and analysis of official documents, and then analyzed qualitatively. This finding is important; it shows that real gender inclusion happens not just through quotas, but through internal party practices—especially ideology, local empowerment, and structured cadre development. These are key lessons for how parties can move beyond symbolic representation.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of social capital, local institutions, and cultural values in mangrove ecotourism governance within Berau Regency, East Kalimantan. Employing a mixed-methods approach combining Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), ecological carrying capacity analysis, and economic valuation, this research reveals how indigenous governance structures interact with modern sustainability frameworks. Primary data from 325 respondents across five coastal communities and secondary ecological data spanning 2022-2025 demonstrate that social capital significantly mediates the relationship between local institutional strength and community welfare outcomes (β=0.687, p<0.001). The ecological carrying capacity assessment indicates sustainable visitor thresholds ranging from 180 to 240 visitors per day across different mangrove zones. Economic analysis reveals that community-based ecotourism generates average monthly household income increases of 42.3% compared to pre-ecotourism baselines. The novelty of this research lies in its quantitative integration of cultural capital metrics, institutional quality indices, and tangible welfare indicators within a single analytical framework. Results demonstrate that communities with stronger traditional governance systems (adat institutions) achieve 34% higher sustainability scores and 28% greater income equity. Policy implications emphasize the necessity of hybrid governance models that formalize indigenous knowledge systems while maintaining cultural authenticity. This study contributes to sustainable development literature by providing empirical evidence for culture-based conservation approaches in tropical coastal ecosystems.

Abstract

This study evaluates the social impact of the Education Centre, a free non-formal tutoring initiative for lower-income urban children organized by the International Humanity Foundation (IHF) in Jakarta. Using a qualitative evaluative approach and the Social Return on Investment (SROI) framework, the study compares the social value generated by offline (face-to-face) and online learning methods implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis, involving 13 participants comprising students, parents, and volunteer teachers. The findings reveal significant differences in social impact: offline learning achieved an SROI ratio of 10.8:1, while online learning reached only 5.26:1. This discrepancy is attributed to stronger social interactions and the absence of digital barriers in offline learning, whereas online learning faced challenges related to limited device availability and internet connectivity. These findings underscore the crucial role of non-formal education in bridging educational gaps and highlight the need for hybrid strategies supported by digital inclusion policies. Academically, the study contributes by demonstrating the application of SROI in evaluating non-formal education programs within the urban Indonesian context.
