Abstract

Government Cooperation with Business Entities or Kerjasama Pemerintah dan Badan Usaha (KPBU) is an alternative financing scheme in which part or all uses the resources of the business entity by considering the distribution of risks between the parties. Preserving the road network with a KPBU scheme on existing roads will greatly help achieve Palembang's integrated metropolitan and economic area. However, Determining the priority of road maintenance is one of the important tasks faced by decision-makers and is considered a complex multi-criteria problem. A system is needed to filter and sequence projects based on several criteria. Therefore, it is necessary to have a method regarding the determination of road priority that will be carried out maintenance so that it is right on target. This study proposed the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Method as a determinant of the order of priority for national road maintenance in Palembang City by the KPBU scheme. The approach taken in this research was to evaluate based on criteria of road condition, traffic volume, traffic accident rate, and volume capacity ratio. From the results of the analysis using the AHP approach, the volume capacity ratio was a top priority on the road criteria that must be considered. This was a bit contradictory to the selection of decisions by policymakers in the road maintenance process, where road condition factors are usually the most important consideration before carrying out repairs. Furthermore, the best route selection alternative for the KPBU scheme on the national road in the city of Palembang produces route 2, which was the top priority. These results showed the linearity between respondents' ratings and the volume capacity ratio as a criterion with top priority because route 2 had the highest volume capacity ratio value among other routes, 3.57. This respondent's assessment needs to be taken into consideration by policymakers because, if seen from the road conditions, these routes were in stable road conditions, but with a large enough traffic volume, it results in the need for road repairs taking into account the volume capacity ratio or road capacity.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to conduct a thorough investigation and analysis of the profound impact of two primary factors on consumer purchase intention in adopting the Grab online transportation service. The research took place within the premises of Universitas Negeri Medan and involved 169 students as the primary subjects. Data collection employed a questionnaire with a five-point scale to uncover consumer perceptions and preferences. The sampling technique utilized was proportional random sampling, ensuring the sample represented the population variations among students. Before widespread use, the questionnaire instrument underwent pilot testing on respondents outside the sample to measure its validity and reliability, ensuring the precision and dependability of the measurement tool. Instrument validity was assessed through the Product Moment correlation method, while reliability was tested via the calculation of Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. Preceding hypothesis testing, several prerequisite analyses were conducted, including data normality testing to ensure the data used in analysis adhered to appropriate distribution, and regression linearity testing to examine the linearity of relationships between variables. The findings of the study indicate that, firstly, sales promotion strategies have a significant positive impact on consumer purchase intention towards the Grab online transportation service. Secondly, service quality also possesses a robust positive influence on consumer purchase intention. By endorsing the proposed hypotheses, this research successfully formulated a robust theoretical model, delineating the framework of causal relationships between sales promotion, service quality, and consumer purchase intention in the context of utilizing the Grab online transportation service within the Universitas Negeri Medan environment. These findings offer valuable insights into the factors shaping consumer preferences and behaviors in selecting online transportation services

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the media convergence applied by the Fajar Daily newspaper based on the Siepera and Veglis models. This model consists of four forms, namely technology convergence or multiplatform, business convergence, professional convergence and content or multimedia convergence. Each form is described based on the practices carried out by the Harian Fajar newspaper through qualitative methods. The results of the study show that Fajar Daily applies these four models wherein the convergence of innovation technology is carried out by combining three platforms to present news and information to readers, namely print media, online media and social media. This convergence stage is in line with content convergence where adjustments to news content have been made on each platform but there are weaknesses in the support/promotion of content between platforms which is still carried out only in print and online media. In terms of business and professional convergence, Fajar Daily's management has endeavored to develop the business in a multi-platform direction.
