Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) and average years of education on the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) in Lampung Province, Indonesia, within the framework of human resource management. Utilizing multiple regression analysis on secondary data from official sources, the research assesses both partial and simultaneous effects of LFPR and education on unemployment. The findings reveal that LFPR negatively and significantly affects OUR, where a one-unit increase in LFPR reduces unemployment by 0.244 units (p = 0.006). Conversely, the average years of education show a positive and significant correlation with unemployment, with each additional year increasing OUR by 0.702 units, indicating a mismatch between educational output and labor market demand. The model explains 62.8% of the variation in unemployment rates, highlighting the complex dynamics of workforce participation and education on employment. This study underscores the critical need for aligning educational curricula with market requirements and improving job readiness to effectively reduce unemployment. The results offer valuable insights for policymakers and human resource managers aiming to optimize labor productivity and address unemployment challenges in developing regions.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of business model innovation on enhancing company competitiveness in the context of the digital era. As companies increasingly face challenges from rapid technological advancements and evolving consumer preferences, the need for strategic innovation becomes paramount. Business model innovation defined as the process of redesigning a company's core logic for creating and capturing value has been recognized as a key lever for maintaining relevance and achieving competitive advantage. Employing a descriptive quantitative research design, this study collected primary data through structured questionnaires administered to 90 respondents who are customers of the SRC Fitri store. Simple linear regression analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between business model innovation (independent variable) and company competitiveness (dependent variable). The analysis revealed that business model innovation has a statistically significant impact on competitiveness, accounting for 51.4% of the observed variance. The remaining 48.6% is attributed to other external factors not examined within this study. These findings underscore the strategic importance of business model innovation as a central factor in navigating digital disruption and market volatility. Companies that are able to rapidly innovate their business models in response to technological change and shifting customer demands are more likely to sustain long-term competitive advantage. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on strategic innovation and offers practical insights for business leaders seeking to strengthen their firm's adaptive capacity and competitiveness in the digital age.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of inflation and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on the performance of the agricultural sector in Lampung Province, Indonesia. Given the agricultural sector’s critical role in regional economic development and rural livelihoods, understanding macroeconomic influences is essential. Using secondary time-series data from relevant agencies, the research employs multiple linear regression analysis to assess the relationship between inflation, CPI, and agricultural output performance. The findings indicate that both inflation and CPI significantly affect agricultural productivity. Higher inflation rates are associated with increased production costs and reduced farm income, whereas CPI fluctuations complicate financial planning and price stability for farmers. These results highlight the need for targeted economic policies to stabilize macroeconomic variables and mitigate their adverse effects on the agricultural sector, ensuring long-term sustainability and productivity in rural economies.

The data were analyzed using simple linear regression to examine the impact of social media marketing, particularly on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, on purchasing behavior. The results show that online marketing has a statistically significant influence on consumer purchasing decisions, with social media promotions playing a significant role in influencing brand awareness and purchase intention. The regression analysis shows a positive relationship between online marketing and purchasing decisions, underscoring the effectiveness of digital platforms in shaping consumer behavior. These findings highlight the importance of strategic data-driven online marketing, particularly for local cosmetic brands targeting Gen Z consumers. Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of online purchases by dormitory residents on dormitory management. A descriptive correlational quantitative approach was applied with 75 dormitory residents selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument included a questionnaire, with online purchase indicators including frequency, type, and resident satisfaction, while dormitory management indicators included operational efficiency, logistics management, and service quality. The research findings show that online purchasing has a significant impact on dormitory management, with a regression coefficient of 0.881 indicating a positive relationship between the variables. In addition, the R Square value of 0.495 indicates that 49.5% of the variability in dormitory management is explained by online purchasing activities, while the remaining 50.5% is influenced by other factors. Online purchasing makes it easier for residents to fulfil their daily needs without having to leave the residence hall, but it also presents challenges for management in terms of logistics, transaction security, and resident satisfaction with the quality of the product or service. This study highlights the importance of integrating digital technology and adaptive management systems to support residents' needs. In conclusion, online purchasing has a positive impact on the operational efficiency and quality of dormitory management. The findings provide guidance for dormitory managers to improve services and  overcome  challenges  in  managing  online  purchasing activities.
