Abstract

This Real Work Lecture (KKN) activity aims to improve the marketing strategy of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Sungai Mahang Village, with a focus on MSMEs located around the Jamiatun Muslimin Parid Tengah Mosque. This research was conducted through direct observation, interviews with MSMEs and consumers, as well as distributing questionnaires. The research results show that the majority of MSMEs in the village do not have an effective marketing strategy, which has an impact on low sales levels. Based on the results of the analysis, the KKN team provided training on digital marketing strategies, such as using social media and creating simple websites. Apart from that, the KKN team also helps MSMEs in designing more attractive product packaging. After implementing the program, there was an increase in MSME players' knowledge about the importance of marketing, and there were visible efforts to implement new marketing strategies. However, continued support is still needed from the village government and related institutions to ensure the sustainability of this program.

Abstract

Training on the Use of Environmentally Friendly Production Equipment in Efforts to Increase Income in MSME Restaurant Businesses at Metro Atom Pasar Baru, PD Pasar Jaya DKI Jakarta aims to provide training on the use of environmentally friendly production equipment to MSME restaurant business owners at Metro Atom Pasar Baru, PD Pasar Jaya DKI Jakarta. This activity focuses on efforts to increase income through implementing environmentally friendly practices in business operations. The training provided provides a better understanding of environmentally friendly production equipment and how to integrate it effectively in their daily activities. The adoption of environmentally friendly production equipment has resulted in cost efficiencies and reduced waste, which in turn increases business revenues. Thus, this training helps MSMEs increase their income while supporting environmental protection efforts. This research explores the impact of training in the use of environmentally friendly production equipment on the MSME restaurant business at Metro Atom Pasar Baru, PD Pasar Jaya DKI Jakarta. The results of the activity show that business owners are aware of the importance of environmental sustainability in their business operations but lack the knowledge and resources to implement it. Training provides a better understanding of environmentally friendly production equipment and its integration in daily activities. Implementation of environmentally friendly production equipment results in cost efficiencies and waste reduction, leading to increased business revenues. Thus, this training has the potential to help MSMEs increase their income while supporting environmental protection efforts.

Abstract

Dermatitis kontak merupakan peradangan pada kulit disebabkan oleh suatu bahan yang kontak dengan kulit. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada warga Lingkungan Kunjung Mae, Kecamatan Mappakasunggu, Kabupaten Takalar mengenai dermatitis kontak yang menjadi salah satu penyakit akibat kerja dari pembudidaya rumput laut. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah dengan pemberian materi dengan metode ceramah dan dilanjutkan dengan tanya jawab. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di salah satu rumah warga yang dihadiri sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil dari kegiatan ini dapat dinilai dengan peningkatan sebanyak 95%.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a sensor-based flood detection device to increase effectiveness in reducing disaster risk. Floods, as one of the natural disasters that often occur, have the potential to cause significant losses, both in terms of property and loss of life. Therefore, the development of reliable flood detection devices is an urgent need. This research method uses an experimental method involving the use of a number of sensors, such as water level sensors and plans to also install temperature sensors and rainfall sensors, which are integrated into one system. This device is designed to accurately detect changes in environmental conditions that could indicate the potential for flooding. This system is also planned to be equipped with wireless communication technology or an application to provide real-time information to related parties and the public. It is hoped that the implementation of this flood detection device can speed up the response of the authorities and the community in facing potential flood disasters. With the existence of this system, it is hoped that losses due to flooding can be minimized, while strengthening adaptation and disaster risk mitigation capabilities at the local level. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of technology for environmental sustainability and safety.

Abstract

Community Empowerment is a development process in which the community takes the initiative to start a social activity process to improve their own situation and condition. Community empowerment will be successful or can occur if residents participate. Community empowerment also has several principles in its implementation, namely raising awareness of the community, providing education and training, organizing, developing strength, and developing dynamics (decisions in the hands of the community itself).

Abstract

Desa Aranio banyak terdapat kebun karet sehingga limbah biji karet sangat banyak dan mudah didapat, namun sayang belum ada penduduk desa yang memanfaatkan limbah biji karet tersebut.Tujuan dari Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberdayakan masyarakat Desa Aranio melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan memanfaatkan biji karet untuk dijadikan souvenir dan produk panganan keripik. Olahan biji karet ini dapat menjadi salah satu sarana untuk meningkatan perekonomian warga Desa Aranio, dimana hasil olahan biji karet berupa keripik dan souvenir dapat di jual di daerah wisata Sungai Kambang desa Aranio. Metode yang dilaksanakan adalah berupa sosialisasi, ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab dan pelatihan pemanfaatan biji karet sebagai produk suvenir dan panganan keripik. Mitra pengabdian adalah ibu-ibu yang ada di desa Aranio. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah dapat memberikan solusi atas permasalahan masyarakat desa Aranio dengan  sosialisasi dan pelatihan pemanfaatan biji karet menjadi produk yang bermanfaat dan memberikan nilai tambah sehingga masyarakat pada akhirnya mempunyai keterampilan bagaimana mengolah biji karet yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sovenir dan panganan keripik yang dapat di konsumsi sendiri atau alternatif tambahan penghasilan.

Abstract

The components of Islamic education in the Qur'an include education in tauhid, education in ibadah, education in ethics or akhlak, education in mental development, and education in life management. The purpose of these components is to develop human potential, including spiritual, emotional, and cognitive-rational intelligence. By understanding and implementing these principles, humans can recognize their true selves and function accordingly, ultimately leading to happiness in both this world and the hereafter.

Abstract

Mangroves are tropical trees that thrive in conditions intolerable to most woody species: saline, coastal waters subjected to relentless tidal fluctuations. Due to their significant carbon sequestration capacity, mangroves serve as a crucial weapon in the battle against climate change, yet they face global threats. By protecting mangrove forests, we can contribute to safeguarding our planet's future.The mangrove forest in Buruk Bakul village exemplifies a well-preserved mangrove ecosystem in Indonesia. Situated along the coast, this forest acts as a natural barrier, protecting the village from coastal erosion and saltwater intrusion. In 2024, the MBKM  Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata) at the University of Riau implemented a project to cultivate and plant 1,000 mangrove trees in Buruk Bakul Village. This initiative aims to restore the mangrove ecosystem, enhance community awareness about environmental conservation, and provide students with practical experience in environmental conservation efforts.Therefore, a collaborative approach involving government agencies, local communities, and various stakeholders is essential to sustainably preserve and manage the mangrove forest in Buruk Bakul village.

Abstract

Degenerative disease is a disease that usually occurs in old people. This disease accompanies the age of a person who has decreased organ function due to old age. Sick humans will try to treat minimal illnesses by utilizing plants that grow around them. The aim of this PkM is to introduce plants that are around us for the treatment of these degenerative diseases. The method used is lecture accompanied by questions and answers. The results obtained from this PkM are additional knowledge and understanding about herbal plants that can be used for the treatment of degenerative diseases such as hypertension, cholesterol, arthritis, gout and diabetes and how to make medicinal preparations. The results of understanding the material presented are measured by the results of the pre-test and post-test.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the use of role-playing methods can increase children's emotional empathy abilities at RA Muslim Medan. The role-playing method is used as a strategy to improve children's social-emotional abilities. The research results show that the use of role-playing methods can improve children's social-emotional empathy abilities. Children who take part in role-playing activities have better empathy abilities compared to children who do not take part in these activities
