Abstract

Introduction Breastfeeding is the best solution for babies and children, especially in a pandemic situation. Breast milk remains the best nutrition that can protect babies and toddlers from various diseases, including during the COVID-19 outbreak. Changes in breastfeeding patterns during the COVID-19 pandemic need to be understood by breastfeeding mothers, both those suspected of being infected with COVID-19 and mothers who choose not to breastfeed directly. Objective: The aim of this research is to review literature, articles, and research documents regarding providing exclusive breast milk to babies during the pandemic COVID-19. Method: The method used in writing this article is a review of research results related to providing exclusive breast milk to babies during the pandemic COVID-19. The type of data used is secondary data. The data sources in this literature review study were obtained by searching scientific research articles from 2021 to 2022 using data bases such as Google Scholar and Science Direct. Result: Mothers knowledge regarding providing exclusive breast milk to babies during the pandemic COVID-19 shows that there are still many who do not know the procedures for giving breast milk. Breastfeeding mothers have greater concerns during the pandemic regarding adequate protection for their children, especially when it comes to breastfeeding their babies. This creates problems for mothers by raising doubts or concerns about whether the mother's breast milk is still safe to give to her baby. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, there is a significant increase in knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding during the COVID-19 period after being given socialisation. Suggestions for future researchers to examine the characteristics of mothers who provide exclusive breastfeeding during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Introduction: Lemon aromatherapy is a way of relaxing the body that is also useful as a reduction in the pain scale during menstruation. Pain caused by intense uterine contractions and then an increase in prostaglandin levels that occurs in a woman is also known as dysmenorrhoea. The impact of dysmenorrhoea is pain, disruption of physical activity, and decreased learning achievement. A complementary therapy for dysmenorrhoea is lemon aromatherapy. The content of limeone itself has a function or benefit to inhibit prostaglandin levels from increasing so that the content of this limeon reduces the pain felt during dysmenorrhoea, besides that it can also improve emotionally. Objective: The purpose of this study to determine the effect of lemon aromatherapy on the dysmenorrhoea pain scale in class X adolescents at SMK Miftahussalam Ciamis. Method: The method used in this study used quantitative methods with experimental methods and used a one-group pre-test-post-test design on 40 respondents. The total population was 67 female students who experienced dysmenorrhoea during menstruation. Sampling using the accidental sampling method. Result: The results of this study used the Wilcoxon Sigend Rank Test with a meaning level of 95% and obtained a value of p-value 0.000 smaller than the significant value of 0.05. Where the pain scale before being given lemon aromatherapy was mostly in the mild pain category, as many as 20 (24.4%) respondents After giving lemon aromatherapy, the pain scale in respondents decreased by 27 (32.9%). Conclusion: Based on the results of research conducted at SMK Miftahussalam Ciamis, it was found that there was an effect of lemon aromatherapy on the dysmenorrhoea pain scale in class X adolescents at SMK Miftahussalam Ciamis because 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

Introduction: Menstrual pain is pain felt during the menstrual cycle. The prevalence of primary Menstrual pain is generally experienced by adolescent girls aged 17-24 years by 67-90%. Menstrual pain has been identified as the most common menstruation-related cause of short-term school absenteeism among young girls. So menstrual pain in adolescents needs attention and information to provide appropriate treatment both pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. Pharmacological treatment for menstrual pain can be overcome with analgesic drugs but causes addiction and dangerous side effects. One effective way to prevent menstrual pain is relaxation in the form of hand massage with endorphin massage techniques. This technique increases the release of endorphin and oxytocin hormones which function to reduce pain and based on research results show that the effectiveness of endorphin massage is more effective in reducing pain. Objective: The purpose of this research is to determine the description of female students' skills in carrying out endorphin massage techniques to relieve menstrual pain. Method: This study uses a descriptive research design. The sample in this study was determined using a quota sampling technique, namely as many as 32 respondents who fit the inclusion criteria. Result: The result of the research that respondents were able to carry out more endorphin massage technique, namely 20 people (62.5%), whereas 12 respondents (37.5%) were skilled at performing endorphin massage techniques. Conclusion: Most respondents were able to carry out the endorphin massage technique to reduce menstrual pain. In adolescent girls include menstrual conditions, unbalanced nutritional intake, eating and drinking patterns, non-compliance with Fe tablet consumption and lack of knowledge.

Abstract

Introduction: Anemia is one of the causes of antepartum or postpartum bleeding. Anemia in pregnant women occurs if the hemoglobin level in the blood is <11 gr/dl in the first and third trimesters of pregnancy, and if it is <10.5 gr/dl in the second trimester of pregnancy. The impacts that will occur if a pregnant woman is anemic are birth with LBW, prematurity, neonatal death, neonatal anemia, birth by cesarean section, mental development barriers, and low APGAR scores. The incidence of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia is still relatively high, namely 48.9%. Objective: The aim of this research is to examine further the effect of consuming dates on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Method: The method of this research is a review of articles regarding consumption of dates on increasing hemoglobin in pregnant women. Search for articles in English or Indonesian that are accessed by internet searches from databases, including Pubmed and Google Scholar with the keywords dates palm, anemia pregnant. The search process that met the requirements according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria was 5 articles. Result: Consuming dates for pregnant women with anemia can increase hemoglobin levels. Method: The research method is quantitative with cross sectional research design. The sampling technique was proportional random sampling using the Slovin formula so that a sample of 63 respondents was obtained, namely final year students at STIKes Muhammadiyah Ciamis. The research instrument was a questionnaire sheet. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square statistical test. Result: The highest frequency stress level was severe stress category as many as 23 respondents (36,5%). The highest frequency menstrual cycle is normal category as many as 34 people (54.0%). Statistical test results with chi square test obtained (p = 0.036 < 0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between stress level and menstrual cycle in final year students at STIKes Muhammadiyah Ciamis.
