Abstract

This activity aims to analyze the performance of the Environmental Care Community Movement (ECCM) in increasing sanitation awareness in the Sidoarjo community through the core methodology of participatory action. The main issues addressed are the high level of trash accumulation and the growth of weeds (water hyacinth) in Afvoer Kemambang, a vital water channel. The Environmental Care Community Movement (ECCM) was designed as a participatory action cycle intervention involving multi-sector collaboration between students, supervising lecturers, the local community, and formal institutions such as the Environmental Agency (EA). The implementation of concrete actions focused on the physical cleanup of the river area and the cleaning and maintenance of the campus garden, which is the action stage in the participatory action cycle. Methodologically, this approach prioritizes the utilization of the community's internal resources, such as students as trained resources and the logistical support of campus facilities, ensuring that the activities are driven and controlled independently. The results of the service activity show that the Environmental Care Community Movement (ECCM) successfully created a strong tripartite synergy, evidenced by active participation from the Environmental Agency (EA) and security institutions in the field, providing institutional support reinforcement for the action. The increase in sanitation awareness is proven to occur through experience, which is a direct result of the observation and reflection phases within the participatory action. This experience transforms cognitive understanding into behavioral commitment, increasing the sense of ownership and collective responsibility towards environmental cleanliness. The implementation of participatory action successfully became a model for sustainable empowerment, transforming an environmental issue into an asset-based collective action with the potential for replication.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the optimization of student interest and talent development through extracurricular activities and analyze its relationship with the management of facilities and infrastructure at SD Negeri 2 Batulo. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the school principal, extracurricular guiding teachers, students, and the school committee. The results of the study indicate that extracurricular activities that are planned and implemented in a structured manner can enhance student participation, develop interest and talent, and shape positive character traits such as discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. Additionally, the optimization of extracurricular activities has an impact on improving the effectiveness of school facilities and infrastructure utilization and maintenance. There is a positive relationship between the development of extracurricular activities and the more optimal management of facilities and infrastructure. Collaboration between the school, teachers, students, and the school committee is a key factor in improving the quality of primary education sustainably.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) as essential for students, yet its implementation in elementary Mathematics faces challenges. Teachers at SDN Gunung Sari struggle to design HOTS-based questions, particularly contextual and challenging problem-posing tasks. This community service aimed to enhance teachers’ competence through intensive training and mentoring. The program involved four stages: needs identification, conceptual and practical training, guided question development, and evaluation. Ten classroom teachers participated. Results showed notable improvement in understanding HOTS concepts and problem-posing techniques, reflected in ready-to-use HOTS Mathematics question drafts. Supporting factors included participants’ enthusiasm, relevant training materials, and hands-on methods, while inhibiting factors were limited training time and the need for ongoing mentoring. Overall, the activity successfully equipped teachers with practical skills to create high-quality assessments that promote students’ critical and creative reasoning.

Abstract

This activity aims to improve the computer network competency of Vocational High School (SMK) students majoring in Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) through simulation-based network configuration training. The methods used include partner needs analysis, preparation of training materials and modules, implementation of training using network simulation software, and evaluation of participants' understanding and skills through observation and discussion. A simulation-based approach was applied to overcome the limitations of physical practice devices and increase learning effectiveness. The results of the activity showed that the training was able to improve students' understanding of computer network concepts and their ability to perform basic network configuration independently. Students also showed increased confidence and readiness in facing network practices in school and the workplace. Thus, simulation-based network configuration training can be an effective learning alternative in supporting the improvement of SMK TKJ students' competency.

Abstract

This community service aims to assist MSMEs "Penyetan Selera Pedas" and "Molen Bu Yati" in Mantrijeron District in implementing digital-based simple accounting records for SAK EMKM compliance. The primary problems faced by partners are manual, unstructured financial management and the mixing of personal and business funds. Methods used include observation, interviews, socialization of accounting principles, and intensive training on the "Teman Bisnis" application. Results show a significant increase in the regularity of daily transaction recording and the partners' ability to prepare initial financial reports digitally. The transformation from manual to digital systems helps business owners understand financial conditions in real-time. This assistance is crucial as a foundation for MSMEs to enhance accountability and expand access to capital in the future.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the economy, but in practice, many MSMEs do not fully record their inventory. This problem occurred at the Jogokariyan Batik Peci MSME, where stock recordng was only done on outgoing goods, while incoming goods were not recorded. This activity aims to help the Jogokariyan Batik Peci MSME in improving the system of recording incoming and outgoing inventory to make it more organized and easier to understand. The methods used include observation, training and mentoring, and evaluation. Observations were conducted to determine the initial condition of inventory recording, followed by training and mentoring in preparing incoming and outgoing stock recording formats using Microsoft Excel. The evaluation stage was conducted to see the understanding of MSME owners in implementing independent stock recording. The results of the activity showed that this mentoring helped MSME owners in recording inventory more completely, thus making stock management more organized.

Abstract

The development of the digital era has had a huge influence on the lives of the younger generation, especially marked by the increasing intensity of social media use. This research aims to strengthen students' legal awareness of the Electronic Information and Transaction Law (ITE Law) as a preventive effort in suppressing the potential for digital crime among MA Al-Falah Tlanakan students. The method of implementing activities includes the preparation stage, the implementation of socialization, and evaluation. This activity was held on October 12, 2025, involving 20 students from grades X, XI, and XII. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the average score of students. These findings show that the socialization program implemented is effective in increasing students' digital literacy and legal awareness, so that they are able to use technology more wisely, responsibly, and avoid behavior that has the potential to cause violations of the law in the digital realm.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to examine the integration of smart financial habits and simple bookkeeping to enhance the financial management capabilities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tegal City. A descriptive approach was employed through socialization activities and direct mentoring, complemented by an evaluation stage to systematically assess participants’ levels of understanding. The results indicate that the integration of smart financial behavior and simple bookkeeping increases MSME owners’ awareness of the importance of more planned and systematic financial management. Participants demonstrated improved understanding in separating personal and business finances, along with enhanced ability to apply accurate and consistent business bookkeeping practices. This program shows that the implementation of smart financial habits not only plays a crucial role in strengthening financial management but also supports business sustainability by improving the credibility of financial records, thereby facilitating MSMEs’ access to formal financing sources.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide an understanding of the basic concepts of modern business development, including management, marketing, and operational management, as well as fostering an innovative, independent, and entrepreneurial mindset that is in line with the needs of the modern era. The program was implemented in Tegal City, targeting SMEs who need improvement related to business development. The methods used included initial observation, preparation of training materials, training implementation, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of effective habits that SMEs can implement in developing their modern businesses. This creative approach was able to increase SMEs' motivation to implement effective habits so that business development is more disciplined, structured, and easy to communicate.

Abstract

: Customer service quality is a crucial factor for the sustainability of service-based companies, including CV. Selaras Abadi Network. One of the main challenges faced by the partner was the manual handling of customer complaints, which resulted in unstructured records, slow response times, and limited monitoring capabilities. This community service activity aimed to improve customer service quality through the implementation of a web-based complaint system. The implementation method consisted of partner needs analysis, system design, web-based system development, functional testing, as well as training and assistance for system users. The results of this activity indicate that the web-based complaint system was able to streamline the complaint recording and handling process, reduce administrative errors, and enhance service transparency and efficiency. Furthermore, the training activities helped partners operate the system independently. Overall, the implementation of a web-based complaint system proved to be an effective solution for supporting improved customer service quality at CV. Selaras Abadi Network.
