Abstract

Self adjustment of students in a boarding school environment is the ability to live and fair, so that he was satisfied with themself and to the environment. Many factors affect the students in the school adjustment as gender, cultural backgrounds and grade levels (maturity). This study purpose to describe the adjustment of students in terms of gender, cultural background, and grade levels. The research was ex post facto by using factorial design 2 x 2 x 3. The population is students of SMAN 1 West Sumatra. The total sample were 168 people selected by stratified random sampling technique and combined with the proportional sampling technique. The instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). The result showed: (1) the level of adjustment of students in general were in the high category, (2) the level of adjustment male and female were in at the high category, and there was difference of adjustment of students based on the gender, mean score of female students higher than male students, (3) the level of adjustment of students in terms of cultural background (Minang and non-Minang) were in high category, and there are differences in the adjustment of students based on the background of the culture, (4) the level of adjustment student review grade levels (X, XI, and XII) were in high category, and there is no difference adjustment students based on grade level, and (5) the level of adjustment of students in terms of gender, cultural background, and grade levels were in category high, and there is no interaction between these variables in explained the adjustment of students.

Abstract

Social adjustment is one of the most difficult and important developmental tasks of adolescents to help adolescents deal with their environment and society. Social adjustment is influenced by various factors, one of which is self-concept. Positive self-concept can help teenagers to making good social adjustments. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and social adjustment in adolescents who live in orphanage in Makassar. The research subjects were 91 teenagers from orphanage in Makassar, which were selected using accidental sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is the self-concept scale and the social adjustment scale. The data analysis technique in this research uses the spearman rho correlation test. The results of data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0.391 with a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05). The value of the correlation coefficient (r=0.391) shows that there is a positive relationship between self-concept and social adjustment in adolescents from orphanage in Makassar. A positive value on the correlation coefficient shows that the higher the self-concept, the higher the social adjustment, or vice versa. Implications: This study implies that improving self-concept in adolescents is needed to improve their social adjustment in social environment.

Abstract

The method in this study is a quantitative method with a correlational research design. The purpose of this study was to link resilience with academic stress during limited face-to-face learning for class XI social studies students at SMA N 12 Medan in the 2021/2022 academic year. The population in this study were students in class XI social studies. Sampling in this study used random sampling by taking 25% of all students of class XI IPS SMA N 12 Medan. The sample size is 30 students. Data collection is done by using a questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaire was obtained by using the product moment correlation and the reliability test was obtained by using the Cronbach alpha test. Test the hypothesis using the Pearson product moment formula with the help of SPSS20 for Windows. The results of the analysis showed r = 0.605 and Rsquare = 0.366 and a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Based on these results, a research hypothesis was proposed: "there is a relationship between resilience and academic stress". Given this negative relationship of -.605, it can be stated that resilience related to academic stress in limited face-to-face learning for students of SMA N 12 Medan is accepted. It is recommended that limited face-to-face learning be carried out simultaneously with increasing student resilience so that students' academic stress can be controlled.

Starting with the theoretical framework, reasons are given for early intervention by the primary school counselor. Research that describes the practice of counseling in elementary schools is still minimal. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk penyalahgunaan dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penyalahgunaan Instagram pada siswa kelas X SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan dan implikasi dari temuan penelitian tentang penyalahgunaan Instagram bagi layanan informasi BK di sekolah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif jenis penelitian kualitatif studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan yang terdiri dari 3 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah keadaan penyalahgunaan dari pengguna aktif Instagram di kelas X SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan yang berjumlah 97 siswa, didapatkan hasil 3 orang siswa yang melakukan penyalahgunaan Instagram. Siswa laki-laki 2 orang dan siswa perempuan 1 orang, dengan penyalahgunaan mengikuti (follow) dan menyukai postingan foto dan video 18+ (delapan belas tahun ke atas), serta menyukai video yang berkaitan dengan penghinaan ras di Indonesia. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa-siswa tersebut dapat melakukan penyalahgunaan Instagram adalah kurangnya pengetahuan tentang bentuk penyalahgunaan dan penyebaran pornografi di Instagram, faktor teman di Instagram dan kurangnya pengawasan dari orangtua. Implikasi atau dampak penyalahgunaan Instagram bagi layanan informasi di sekolah SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan untuk siswa kelas X adalah pemberian layanan informasi dengan materi pencegahan pornografi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the description of premarital counseling for the mental readiness of prospective couples in the Population and Family Planning Board of Binjai City. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method. The subjects of this study were psychologists and prospective partners who took part in the counseling process, and the objects in this study were a psychologist and 4 catin who attended premarital counseling. The results of this study was the implementation model of premarital counseling at the Population and Family Planning Board of Binjai City uses two stages, namely: a) the pre-implementation stage and b) the implementation stage. The counseling model used for the mental readiness of prospective partners uses a group counseling model. At the time of counseling, PUP is introduced, and creates a happy family. The bride and groom come to the Population and Family Planning Board of Binjai City to complete the marriage requirements, gain knowledge about marriage and how to build a happy family so that later they can minimize the problems that come in domestic life.

Abstract

This research aims to confirm the usefulness of Gestalt Counseling empirically through a literature review of a number of relevant scientific literature. This research uses a literature review method. In this case, the researcher collected a number of literatures in the form of scientific articles related to Gestalt Counseling for bullying cases in Indonesia during the last 5 years, namely in the period 2018 to 2023. The researcher conducted a search for scientific literature using the Google Scholar, Publish or Perish, and databases. Lens.Org. Of the 23,181 titles, 8 scientific articles were found that best suited the research criteria. The research results show that Gestalt Counseling can be carried out in individual or group formats to increase self-esteem and self-control, as well as reduce levels of depression for victims of bullying. Apart from that, Gestalt counseling can also be applied to reduce aggression, violence and bullying behavior in bullies. It is recommended that further research examine issues related to multicultural factors in Gestalt counseling for this population, the effects of other Gestalt techniques in interventions for victims and perpetrators of bullying, as well as the phenomenological experiences of victims and perpetrators of bullying in receiving Gestalt Counseling.

Abstract

A person's self-awareness affects the decisions that will be made, whether in making a decision to solve a problem or making decisions for his survival. Locus of Control becomes one of the most determining factors of an individual's behavior. An individual who commits a social deviation, then they will be responsible for what has been done, in this case the authors use the prisoners of Class II Narcotics Layer Slow as the object of research. The study aims to find out the picture of the locus of control and Self-awareness in the prisoner as well as the influence of the local of control on self-consciousness in the NAPAS Drug Class II Slow. The sampling techniques used in this study were random samplings, a population of 470 prisoners researchers and samples determined 217 samples. The results of the study obtained an overview of the locus of control prisoners as a whole were in the middle category, the overall self-awareness of the prisoner was in the high category, and the results of a simple double linear regression test in obtaining the results from the t table 0.042<0.05 had no significant influence on the locuse of control on self- awareness in the prisoner.

Abstract

This study aims to apply group counseling to the Stress Inoculation Training technique in dealing with the stress of working on a thesis on Counseling Guidance students. This type of research is quantitative research with a Pre-Experimental Design approach. The subjects in this research were 8 2019 Stambuk counseling students. This research consisted of 4 meetings. The results of the research showed that the average pre-test and post-test score for students' stress coping skills was 107.37 and after being provided with the service it decreased drastically. to 74.25. This means that the average value of overcoming student stress has decreased after being given service. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test, the result is that ????ℎ???????????????? ???? > ???????????????????????? where 6 > 4, which means the hypothesis in this research is accepted. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that the stress coping skills of 8 guidance and counseling students at Medan State University who were working on their thesis before being given the stress inoculation training technique group counseling service were found to be high, after being given the stress inoculation training technique group counseling service their stress coping skills were reduced.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the form of bullying behavior and what are the motives of bullying behavior of broken home children in SMAN. In this study, researchers used qualitative research methods. Respondents in this study amounted to 7 people. Using purposive sampling technique with the criteria of broken home families, being sensitive, broken homes experienced from the age of (6-17 years), have committed acts of bullying. Data collection techniques used through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by using an Interactive model of quantitative analysis from Milles and Huebeman which consists of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the discussion show that the bullying behavior of broken home children in SMAN is still classified as a lot where the actions taken in the form of verbal bullying such as labeling names, ridicule, insulting, alienating, belittling and saying harsh words. While non-verbally such as pinching, pushing, pinching the head, pulling the shirt, pulling the headscarf and hitting. The motive for these actions is influenced by family disharmony, pressure in the family, ridicule obtained by school friends which triggers children to commit these acts of bullying.
