Abstract

In Indonesia, there are still many students who have no attachment to school and are not active in the learning process, which means that the level of student engagement is still low. This condition shows that schools have not succeeded in optimizing educational goals, so students feel bored, their interest in learning decreases, and often do not participate in learning at school, some even leave school. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of self-regulated learning to student engagement in students of State Senior High School 1 Surakarta. The research method is quantitative with stratified random sampling technique. The measurement tools used in this study were the self-regulated learning scale and the student engagement scale, and the data were analyzed using simple regression. The results showed that the correlation coefficient value was r = 0.863, p = < 0.01 (p < 0.05). This indicates that there is a positive relationship between self-regulated learning and student engagement at State Senior High School 1 Surakarta.

Abstract

In the digital era, the ease of access to information and popular culture through social media has the potential to encourage the emergence of a hedonistic lifestyle, even among santri. This study aims to determine the effect of religiosity on the hedonism lifestyle of Islamic boarding school students. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational design. The subjects of the study were 150 Islamic boarding school students with a simple random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through two questionnaires, namely religiosity and hedonism lifestyle and the data were analyzed using simple regression. The results of the analysis showed a significance value of 0.046 (p < 0.05), which indicates a significant influence between religiosity and a hedonistic lifestyle, the hedonistic lifestyle is influenced by religiosity by 2.7%. The higher the religiosity of the students, the lower the tendency towards a hedonism lifestyle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of reward techniques based on a behavioristic approach in increasing learning interest in grade 3 students of Almadany Elementary School, Gresik. The subjects of the study were three students who showed low learning interest, indicated by lack of focus, often being thorough, and not completing assignments. The intervention was carried out for six sessions, with rewards in the form of praise (verbal), smiles/thumbs up (non-verbal), and stickers and reward cards (symbolic), every time students showed positive learning behavior. Data were collected through observation, teacher interviews, and documentation of behavioral changes. Analysis was carried out descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively using a behavior change table and the ABC (Antecedent–Behavior–Consequence) framework. The results showed a significant increase in aspects of learning interest, including attention, interest, involvement, and joy. The subjects (ASH, MI, and NRS) became more focused, active, and enthusiastic when learning. The teacher also stated that the classroom atmosphere became more conducive after the intervention. Although changes occur gradually, these findings prove that positive reinforcement is effective in modifying learning behavior, in accordance with behaviorism theory, especially positive reinforcement. The limitations of the study lie in the number of subjects and the short duration of the intervention, so it cannot be generalized. This study recommends a wider variety of rewards, including intrinsic and collaborative rewards, as well as the integration of shaping and chaining methods to form long-term learning habits.

Abstract

The increasing divorce rate in Indonesia shows that many couples are not psychologically ready before getting married. To address this, Asca Elpida developed a social media-based marriage readiness psychoeducation program, especially Instagram, as a preventive measure that is easily accessible to the young generation of early adulthood (18–24 years). Before the implementation, a poll was conducted via Instagram Story which showed that 54% of respondents chose the topic “marriage readiness” as the most popular. This program presents three educational materials in a visual-interactive format and opens up a discussion space via direct message. Evaluation using the Kirkpatrick model at the reaction and learning levels showed a positive response from participants: easy-to-understand material (91%), relevant topics (88%), and increased understanding (84%). However, active participation was still low, indicating the phenomenon of lurking behavior. Nevertheless, this program is effective in increasing psychological literacy and marriage readiness, while also reviving Asca Elpida's Instagram account with meaningful educational content. As a development, it is recommended to use a live webinar format, intensive online training, community forums, or counseling assistance to achieve a deeper and more sustainable impact.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the token economy method in improving the discipline of first-grade students at Almadany Elementary School, Gresik. The subjects of the study were two students (AA and NS) who previously showed undisciplined behavior, such as not arranging their shoes neatly, often being late, and not being orderly when lining up. The intervention was carried out for six sessions, where students were given stickers as tokens every time they showed disciplined behavior. The tokens could be exchanged for prizes such as key chains or stationery. Data were collected through observation, teacher interviews, and documentation of behavioral changes, then analyzed descriptively using a behavior change table and the ABC (Antecedent–Behavior–Consequence) framework. The results showed a significant increase in discipline indicators: punctuality, cleanliness, neatness, and orderliness. The ABC analysis revealed that previous undisciplined behavior was caused by a lack of personal communication and an unclear reinforcement system. After the intervention, the relationship between behavior and its consequences became better understood, thus forming new positive habits. This study supports the behaviorist theory of positive reinforcement, and emphasizes the importance of a personal approach in learning strategies. Although limited to two participants and a short time, this study proves that token economy is effective in improving student discipline, especially in inclusive schools
