Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of the Catur Purusha Arthadoctrine in shaping the character of children in the Narayan Seva Orphanage. This doctrine encompasses the values of Dharma (morality and spirituality), Artha (economics and material), Kama (aesthetics and happiness)and Moksa (highest goal) which are applied in the character education of children in orphanages, which are applied in the character education of children in the orphanage. In the face of modern challenges, this article explains how the values of Dharma are instilled through moral and ethical education, the values of Artha are applied through financial education and responsible ownership, and the values of Kama are realized through the development of interests and talents. Despite challenges such as adapting ancient values to modern contexts, collaborating with families, and monitoring effectiveness, the Narayan Seva Orphanage has created an environment focused on fostering positive and integral character through the implementation of the Catur Purusha Arthadoctrine. Thus, this article summarizes that this approach can shape a generation ready to face the world wisely and make a positive contribution to society.

Abstract

The Teeth Cutting Ceremony or Mapandes is one part of the Manusa Yajña ceremony which is generally carried out when a person begins to grow up to be a teenager or adult. In general, the implementation of the tooth-cutting ceremony in the Alasangker village of Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency in general is the same as the implementation of the Tooth Cutting ceremony in other places, both in the procession and in the ceremony. However, there is one ritual procession that is tucked away in the tooth-cutting ceremony in Alasangker Village, namely the Maperas ritual procession. In the Maperas procession there is a symbolic conversation between parents and children during the ceremony. The symbolic communication that occurs between parents and children in this Maperas ritual is an interaction that occurs both verbally and non-verbally with a religious nuance. The religious nuance is because there are moral messages contained in it.

Abstract

Bertambahnya lulusan SMK di setiap tahunnya menjadi penyumbang angka pengangguran terbesar di Indonesia. Hadirnya mata pelajaran produk kreatif dan kewirausaha tata boga diharapkan menjadi wadah dalam membantu siswa untuk bekerja ataupun belajar membuka usaha. Terdapat hambatan dalam penerapan pembelajaran, seperti masih rendahnya akativitas belajar siswa dan minat berwirausaha yang disebabkan oleh siswa yang belum memiliki keberanian untuk mengajukan pertanyaan, menjawab ataupun mengomentari pendapat siswa lainnya saat berdiskusi dan tidak jarang siswa lebih memilih mengulur waktu untuk mempresentasikan produk boga yang dihasilkan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dan minat berwirauha melalui efektivitas flipped learning pada mata pelajaran produk kreatif dan kewirausahaan tata boga. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas XI TB 1 SMK PGRI 3 Badung yang berjumlah 35 orang. Hasil dalam penilitian ini menunjukkan bahwa flipped learning 97% mampu meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dan 82,03% mampu meningkatkan minat berwirausaha siswa. Hal ini didukung dengan adanya efektivitas flipped learning yang berpengaruh pada peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa dan minat berwirausaha yang ditunjukkan dengan perasaan senang, ketertarikan, perhatian, dan keterlibatan siswa pada proses pembelajaran. Melalui penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa flipped learning sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dan minat berwirausaha khusunya pada mata pelajaran produk kreatif dan kewirausahaan tata boga.

Abstract

Subak as an irrigation system for the life manager of the farmers. System formed from hundreds of years ago was the implementation of the community mutual cooperation system in carrying out life as a farmer. The process that occurred in it from the spiritual aspect there was a temple of Ulun Suwi as a place of worship, there was a stages of each land processing process to planting the agreed rice. The onslaught of the land function makes the region of the Subak power reduced or even the remaining only the subdiability of the subject, so that more depth assessment will be needed the essence of the subak so that it must be maintained, through qualitative education and various data sources presented in the form of qualitative descriptions. The results of the study explained the existence of the Subak irrigation system was affected by how the land area managed by the Subak. When it occurs over the function of land that was originally a paddy field becoming a housing building would certainly affect the territory of the power of Subak. The initial function of Subak in accordance with the above explanation is that the irrigation system changes only as Swagina temple because it no longer has rice fields. Subak Temple is a subak ulun as the implementation of the concept of Prahyangan is no longer stomached by Sekaa Subak because the subject has turned into a building, as well as the subak irrigation system that does not run because there are no agricultural activities in the area.

Abstract

The library is a work unit in the form of a place for collecting, storing and maintaining library material collections that are managed and systematically arranged in a certain way, to be used sustainably by users as a source of information. Good library management can support education and the learning process in higher education, with good communication patterns it will have an impact on the quality of service at the library. Universitas Hindu Negeri I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa is a university that has just changed its status to a university in 2020. Based on this formulation, the theories used to dissect the formulation of the problem are: (1) Communication Planning Theory, (2) Discourse Theory, and (3) Social Action Theory. This research took place in the library of Universitas Hindu Negeri I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa. The type of research used is qualitative, with the determination of informants using purposive sampling method. Collecting data using observation methods, interviews with guidelines assisted by voice recorder research tools and cellphones, literature and documentation. Data analysis carried out in this study used data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The findings of this study, namely in its implementation, the existence of librarians in establishing communication with users using verbal and non-verbal communication patterns in providing information to users so that users make it easier to find library materials in the library of Universitas Hindu Negeri I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa Denpasar, will have an impact on the quality of existing resources, Libraries in service to users use an open management system in serving users where users look for library materials on library shelves according to the field they are involved in.

Abstract

The Kincang-Kincung dance in Tunjuk Village, Tabanan Regency has its own uniqueness, starting from the movement, the ceremonial facilities used and this dance has magical powers so that the dancers experience a trance. Kincang-Kincung dance is closely related to piodalan at Puseh Kaja Temple, Tunjuk Village. From the results of research on Kincang-Kincung Dance in Tunjuk Village, Tabanan Regency, the following results were obtained: 1) the reason for performing the Kincang Kincung dance at the Piodalan ceremony at Puseh Kaja Temple, Tunjuk Village, Tabanan Regency, namely mythological reasons, namely in the form of ancestral worship, Theological Reasons as a means of expressing a sense of devotion, sociological reasons as a means of interacting with fellow people, and philosophical reasons as a form of gratitude for the people of Tunjuk Village. The form of Kincang-Kincung Dance is explained through the dancers, the dance movements, the venue for the performance, the make-up and clothing, the time of the performance, the ceremony facilities, percussion accompaniment, and the series of Kincang Kincung dance performances. The Kincang Kincung dance performance has a ritual function as an offering to be grateful for the gift of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. Its social function is as a means of unifying and establishing the brotherhood of the accompanying community. The function of preserving the culture of the Kincang Kincung dance performance is a vehicle for preserving artistic and cultural values in Bali and in the village of Tunjuk in particular. An aesthetic function, because this kincang kincung dance fulfills several aesthetic elements that can evoke a sense of beauty for the audience.

Abstract

The task of the teacher is not only teaching but starting from the planning process to the assessment, as stated in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers in CHAPTER I Article 1 Teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students in early childhood education through formal education, basic education, and secondary education. The theory used as the basis or basis in this research is 1) Motivation Theory, 2) Human Resource Management Theory. Data collection techniques used in this study include: observation techniques, interview techniques and document studies. The results of this study are: The Importance of Professional Development of Hindu Religion Teachers in the Core Clusters of Public Elementary Schools in North Kuta District due to the demands of Law No. 14 of 2005, Improving teacher performance, improving the quality of learning, as well as a professional teacher with the main task of educating, teaching guide and evaluate students. In the learning process the teacher before teaching prays, prepares lesson plans and uses media or teaching aids as transformation material.

Abstract

Membicarakan psikologi anak adalah berbicara tentang cara mendidik anak sejak dini secara tepat. Karena anak usia dini memiliki potensi yang masih perlu dikembangkan dan memiliki karakteristik tertentu yang unik dan tidak sama dengan orang dewasa, mereka selalu aktif, dinamis, antusias dan ingin tahu tentang apa yang mereka lihat, dengar, rasakan, seolah-olah mereka tidak pernah berhenti menjelajah dan belajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskritif. Sumber data primer diperoleh dengan mewawancarai informan, sumber data sekunder diperoleh dari studi kepustakaan, literature dan dokumentasi.  Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka pola asuh anak usia dini pada keluarga hindu dalam membentuk karakter anak yang suputra adalah dengan cara a) Membangun sikap anak diantaranya melatih anak untuk memiliki sikap yang berani tegas, jujur dan sikap lainnya b) Membangun emosi anak, c) Membangun kemauan anak, d) Membangun komunikasi dengan anak, dan e)Membangun kecerdasan anak.

Abstract

Bali, the island which is nicknamed the Island of the Gods, has very strong beauty and culture and is very well preserved. In Bali there are also various kinds of religions, but the religion that is the most numerous is Hinduism which is known for its various kinds of religious ceremonies. The Mecaru Balig Ceremony of the Grand Oath at the puja guardian at Gunung Sekar Temple, Giri Emas Traditional Village, Buleleng Regency, is a ritual that belongs to the Bhuta Yadnya ceremony, this ceremony is carried out because Gunung Sekar Temple has just completed the Nganteg Linggih Manawaratna temple ceremony and the Mecaru ceremony uses various kinds of animals such as cows, chickens, dogs and also other animals. This uniqueness is what is very interesting to research and make a scientific work.

Abstract

The inculcation of religious and moral values in early childhood refers to a process or way to introduce and accustom early childhood to be able to show praiseworthy behavior, which is in accordance with the teachings of the religion it adheres to and does not contradict the prevailing norms. It needs to be done from an early age so that children will be able to behave and form habits of good behavior. This is important so that the next generation will become a generation who are intelligent and have a commendable character both as religious people and as members of the community. This process must be carried out in accordance with the psychological conditions and stages of child development as described in the early childhood developmental psychology, not according to the wishes of the parents or teachers. It is crucial that children are actively involved in the whole process happily and voluntarily so that the results obtained will be maximized. If the child feels forced or tortured in the process, it is likely that the developmental tasks related to religious and moral aspects will fail to be fulfilled. Therefore, it is important for parents and teachers to master the developmental psychology of early childhood so that they are able to understand the task of religious and moral development in early childhood in order to facilitate the proper stimulation to achieve it.
