Abstract

The village of Tarajusari faces complex problems, including pollution of the Citalugtug River due to waste accumulation, low productive utilization of organic waste, and limited land for waste management by the government through the design of a number of policies. The Community Service Program (PKM) of Langlangbuana University employs a participatory and educational approach to address these issues through four main activities. The implementation methods include educational flagship activities and the distribution of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot larvae to three RW units in Dusun 1 through practical training and technology transfer in bioconversion, as well as observing the limitations of waste management land through documentation and interviews with residents. The solutions implemented include designing appropriate technology policies for Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot cultivation to convert organic waste into economically valuable products, community-based river cleanup efforts to address environmental pollution, and systematic documentation for advocacy to secure land for a waste management facility from the local government. The program's impacts include increased environmental awareness among the community, strengthened social bonds through community-based cleanup efforts, transfer of bioconversion technology skills to 10 participants, and economic empowerment through the reduction of 20-30 kg of organic waste per RW per month in the two participating RWs. The program's sustainability is supported by community commitment, collaboration with the Environmental Agency, and a continuous consultation system through contact with the PKM team.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a strategic issue in community service due to its role in reducing unemployment and promoting innovation-driven economic growth. Universitas Islam Bandung, through the Management Study Program, implemented the Entrepreneurship Development Program (PPK) to address students’ low entrepreneurial interest and readiness. Designed with a participatory and collaborative approach, the program involved students actively in recruitment, training, and intensive business mentoring. A distinctive feature of this program was the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) as a supporting tool. Applications such as ChatGPT and Bard were used for market research and business idea validation, while Canva, Pictory.ai, and Gamma.app supported digital content creation to enhance branding and customer engagement. The program achieved notable results: all participating tenants successfully obtained business legality (NIB and certification), produced intellectual property-protected products, and published scientific articles with media exposure. The initiative was further strengthened by collaboration with HIPMI PT, contributing to the development of a campus-based entrepreneurial ecosystem. These outcomes demonstrate that a practice-based approach combined with continuous mentoring is effective in improving students’ entrepreneurial motivation, readiness, and intention, while also supporting the achievement of key performance indicators at the university level.

Abstract

The digital transformation of education demands innovative solutions for assessment systems that are still dominated by paper-based tests. MTs. Miftahulfalah Bandung faces challenges such as limited capacity of IT administrators in managing online test applications, teachers’ unfamiliarity with digital question banks, and students’ lack of experience in computer-based examinations. This community service project aimed to strengthen digital capacity through the implementation of the ZYA Computer Based Test (CBT) application. Using the ADDIE instructional design model, the program included needs analysis, training module design, system development, guided workshops, and comprehensive evaluation. Results demonstrated significant improvement in participants’ competencies, with post-test scores rising by 41.67% for IT administrators, 45.45% for teachers, and 56% for students. Participant satisfaction was also high, with an average Likert score of 4.5, indicating strong acceptance of the training. These findings confirm that the ADDIE-based training approach effectively supports the adoption of digital assessment systems in schools. The implications highlight that ZYA CBT can serve as a sustainable solution to enhance digital literacy, efficiency, and readiness for national computer-based assessments.

Abstract

In the current era of digitalization, many Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have adopted various digital wallet payment methods, including the use of the QRIS payment system. Additionally, MSMEs can enhance their competitiveness by implementing systematic bookkeeping to ensure that their sales outcomes are balanced with expenses such as raw materials, operational costs, and inventory damage mitigation. This study was conducted through observation and workshops based on the real conditions in Kiaradodot Village, Gandamekar, Garut Regency, where QRIS payments and digital bookkeeping systems have not yet been implemented. The final result of this research indicates that by adopting QRIS and digital bookkeeping, MSMEs are expected to develop the skills necessary to utilize payment systems that improve customer convenience, strengthen brand image, and optimize their business potential to drive sales growth.

Abstract

Arjasari Village is one of the villages located in Arjasari Subdistrict, Bandung Regency, with an area of approximately 768 hectares, where the majority of the population works in agriculture. The abundance of agricultural products and the large amount of organic waste produced provide Arjasari Village with an opportunity to develop alternative energy innovations in the form of briquette production. Until now, most organic waste has not been optimally utilized, even though it can be processed into a renewable energy source. Some people still rely on firewood or torches for cooking, so briquettes are seen as a strategic solution to reduce dependence on firewood, LPG, and kerosene, which are increasingly limited and non-renewable. The KKNM (Student Community Service Program) in Arjasari Village for processing organic waste into briquettes is expected to provide tangible benefits to the community, such as: (1) increasing the utilization of village organic waste into useful products; (2) meeting the need for alternative energy independently and sustainably; (3) opening up business opportunities and improving the community's economy. Thus, briquettes made from organic waste can be one of the environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative energy solutions in Arjasari Village

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in driving local economic growth, particularly in rural areas. However, many MSMEs still face obstacles in digital adaptation, marketing, and brand development. This community service program was conducted in Bojongsoang Village, Bandung Regency, with the aim of strengthening MSME capacity through the implementation of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard), MAPS (digital mapping for business visibility), and branding innovation. The method employed was participatory, involving direct engagement with local MSME actors in four stages: preparation, implementation, output, and evaluation. Activities included training on digital payment systems, mapping MSME locations to increase accessibility, and developing simple yet effective branding strategies tailored to the potential of each business. The results showed that MSMEs were more confident in using QRIS for transactions, gained broader market reach through online mapping, and improved their business identity through branding. These outcomes not only enhanced operational efficiency but also increased consumer trust and competitiveness in the local market. The implication of this program highlights that digital innovation combined with participatory approaches can significantly empower rural MSMEs and contribute to sustainable economic development at the community level.
