Abstract

Breast cancer is the most malignancy among women worldwide and is associated with long-term psychosocial burdens such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, and impaired quality of life. Given the rising number of survivors, effective and accessible psychological interventions are essential. Internet Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) emerged as a promising digital solution. Objective to evaluate the effectiveness of ICBT in improving quality of life among breast cancer survivors. A systematic literature review was conducted using PubMed, ScienceDirect, and ResearchGate, focusing on studies published between 2020–2025. Article selection followed the PICOS framework, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs), quasi-experiments, pilot RCTs, and feasibility studies. Methodological quality was assessed using Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) critical appraisal tools. The Results: From 249 identified studies, 10 met inclusion criteria. Evidence demonstrated that ICBT greatly diminished signs of depression, anxiety, insomnia, and distress, while improving cognitive function, coping ability, and overall quality of life for people who have recovered from breast cancer. The interventions were found to be flexible, accessible, and well-accepted. However, variations in effectiveness were observed depending on cancer stage, ongoing treatments, and psychosocial conditions. Conclusion: ICBT is an effective and innovative psychosocial intervention that enhances quality of life in breast cancer survivors. Its integration into healthcare systems is highly recommended, with tailored content to meet individual patient needs.

Abstract

Early childhood education (PAUD) is a crucial period in a child's cognitive, social, and emotional development. At this age, children begin to develop the foundations of skills that will shape their thinking patterns and behavior in the future. Therefore, it is important for educators to provide learning experiences that are fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate. One increasingly popular approach to supporting early childhood education is the use of educational videos. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of educational videos in increasing knowledge in preschool children. This research method was quasi-experimental. Sampling was carried out using an accidental sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that educational videos had a significant effect on increasing knowledge in preschool children (p = 0.002). This study recommends that educational videos can be used as a learning medium to help increase knowledge in school-age children

Abstract

Non-hemorrhagic stroke occurs due to obstruction of blood vessels, resulting in reduced blood flow to brain tissue. This condition may be caused by cerebral thrombosis, atherosclerosis, and cerebral embolism, which lead to vascular blockage as a result of plaque formation and subsequent narrowing of the vessels. These events can damage the cranial nerves responsible for regulating swallowing function, thereby causing dysphagia. Methods: This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre–post test approach. A total of 10 respondents participated in the study. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Respondent information was collected through interviews and observation, while dysphagia assessment was performed through direct evaluation. Data were analyzed using the dependent t-test with a significance level of α = 0.05. Results and Discussion: There was a significant difference in dysphagia status before and after the intervention (p-value = 0.000). Conclusion: The Chin Tuck Against Resistance (CTAR) technique and Shaker Exercise are effective in managing swallowing disorders (dysphagia).

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in productive-age patients is a public health challenge. One of the serious complications of DM is impaired kidney function. Healthy lifestyle changes have the potential to help maintain kidney function, but understanding of patient experiences in maintaining kidney function through a healthy lifestyle is still limited. This study aims to explore the experiences of productive-age DM patients in their efforts to maintain kidney function through healthy lifestyle changes. Methods: This study used a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. A purposive sample of productive-age DM patients aged 20–45 who had undergone DM therapy for at least 2 years was selected. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, recorded, transcribed, and then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of this study examined patient experiences in terms of knowledge about kidney risks, motivation to make lifestyle changes, challenges and barriers, adaptation strategies, the role of family/environmental support, and perceptions about efforts to maintain kidney function. Conclusion: A thorough understanding of patient experiences can assist nurses and healthcare teams in designing educational interventions and healthy lifestyle support tailored to the needs of productive-age DM patients.
