Abstract

This article analyzes the epistemological architecture of knowledge in Ihya’ ‘Ulum al-Din, a work by Imam Al-Ghazālī, through ontological, epistemological, and axiological approaches. This study aims to reveal how Al-Ghazālī constructs and organizes a structure of knowledge that integrates rational, spiritual, and ethical dimensions into a single, coherent epistemological framework. This research employs a qualitative research method based on a literature review, utilizing a philosophical and hermeneutic approach to the text of Ihya’ ‘Ulum al-Din, supported by an analysis of classical texts and international journal articles related to Al-Ghazālī’s thought and Islamic epistemology. The research findings indicate that Al-Ghazālī formulates the concept of knowledge as a reality that is not only related to the object of knowledge but also to the existential condition of the knowing subject. Ontologically, knowledge is understood as divine light that radiates into the human heart. Epistemologically, Al-Ghazālī acknowledges three primary pathways to acquiring knowledge: revelation, reason, and kashf or spiritual intuition. Meanwhile, axiologically, knowledge is directed toward fostering moral perfection and drawing humanity closer to God. Thus, the epistemological architecture of knowledge in Al-Ghazālī’s thought demonstrates the integration of the dimensions of sharia, rationality, and spirituality within a holistic system of knowledge. This finding demonstrates the relevance of Al-Ghazālī’s thought in formulating an integrative paradigm of knowledge capable of bridging the dichotomy between religious knowledge and rational knowledge in the context of contemporary scholarship.

Abstract

This study examines the conceptual and philosophical foundations that shape the relationship between the philosophy of science, educational quality, and modern educational administration. Through library research and conceptual analysis, the study demonstrates that educational quality is not a neutral technical construct, but rather a product of the epistemological assumptions and axiological commitments underlying educational systems. Traditions of rationalism, empiricism, constructivism, and critical realism yield distinct understandings of legitimate knowledge and methods of assessing learning, while value orientations determine the moral goals upon which educational quality is measured. Further analysis demonstrates that educational administration functions as an operational mechanism that translates epistemic and value principles into policies, governance, accountability, and institutional practices. A comparison of the philosophy of science paradigm and the shifting administrative paradigm confirms that managerial innovations such as evidence-based policies, continuous quality improvement, and school-based management are rooted in specific philosophical assumptions. This study then offers an integrative conceptual model that positions educational quality as the result of a dynamic interaction between epistemology, axiology, and administrative praxis. The research findings provide theoretical contributions by clarifying the philosophical foundations of quality assurance and offering a framework for developing reflective, value-based, and epistemically coherent educational governance.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the East Asian–Australasian Flylĺway Partnership (EAAFP) in the conservation efforts of Sembilang National Park during the 2017–2022 period. Sembilang National Park is a vital wetland area for migratory birds along the East Asian–Australasian Flyway. This research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach using literature review and document analysis, and is grounded in the theory of compliance with international regimes by Chayes and Chayes. The findings reveal that EAAFP contributes through institutional capacity building, conservation project funding, local community involvement, and international environmental diplomacy. Although the partnership lacks binding legal authority, EAAFP promotes voluntary compliance through reputational incentives and technical support. Tangible impacts can be seen in the implementation of bird monitoring programs, species identification training, and the development of community-based ecotourism. However, challenges such as limited resources, lack of local policy integration, and sustainability after external support remain significant. This study emphasizes that successful transboundary conservation relies on multilevel collaboration and the strengthening of local institutions

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Brazil's environmental diplomacy in addressing Amazonian deforestation in the 2019–2023 period. Amazonian deforestation is a global issue closely related to climate change and biodiversity loss. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach and a theoretical framework of Institutional Neoliberalism, Two-Level Games, and Environmental Diplomacy. Data were obtained through documentary studies of international organization reports, official government data, and academic literature, with triangulation techniques to increase the validity of the analysis. The results show that Brazil's environmental diplomacy is dynamic and conditional. During the Jair Bolsonaro administration, diplomacy tended to be ineffective due to the mismatch between international commitments and domestic policies that encouraged deforestation. Conversely, during the Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva administration, there was an increase in effectiveness through international institutions and cooperation that resulted in a decrease in deforestation. Thus, the effectiveness of environmental diplomacy is highly dependent on the consistency of domestic policies and the country's institutional capacity.

Abstract

The existence of inkarsunnah makes the preservation of the Hadith of the Prophet SAW very necessary. Among them is the Muhafazoh Method strategy 5.5. This method was applied, among others, by the participants of the Hifzilhadis branch of the North Sumatra Province delegation in the National Tilawatil Quran and Hadith Selection (STQH) event. The Muhafazoh method strategy 5.5, namely the first 5 are intention, al-qiraat, fahmul hadith, tikrar, tahdif and targhib. Furthermore, the second 5 are studying to a hadith expert teacher, notes and pens of various colors as markers, sound recordings, locations, and memorization of Hadith. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to analyze the experiences of participants in mastering hadith memorization, including challenges, adaptation strategies, and their impact on memorization success. The results of the study show that the Muhafazoh method strategy 5.5 has been practiced well by participants in memorizing hadith, especially in terms of accuracy and fluency, one of which is this technique using audio media to correct the reading. Thus, the Muhafazoh method strategy 5.5 can be used as an applicable learning model for memorizing hadith, especially in preparation for national level competitions and general learning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) in public service units, with a specific focus on the phenomenon of a dual recording system that combines manual methods with simple digital applications such as Microsoft Excel. A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with financial staff and heads of public service units, non-participant observation, and analysis of financial documents from two government units: a Community Health Center (Puskesmas) and a District Education Office unit. The findings reveal that government units operate in a transitional phase of financial digitalization, adopting a hybrid system due to factors of digital literacy gaps, risk management considerations, cost-benefit analysis, and ingrained bureaucratic work culture. This dual practice enhances control efficiency and accelerates access to financial information, thereby supporting more transparent and accountable reporting. However, it remains vulnerable to risks of data duplication errors, overlooked transactions, and over-reliance on operator integrity. The study elaborates extensively on the daily workflow of the dual system, the motivations behind its persistence, and its nuanced implications. The research concludes that successful AIS implementation in government units requires a phased, context-sensitive approach that integrates technology adoption with human resource capacity building and strengthening of internal controls.
