Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of teacher competence and students’ learning motivation on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMAN 1 Negeri Katon, Pesawaran Regency. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population of the study consists of all 11th-grade students, totaling 206 students, with a sample of 136 students selected through a specific sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires to measure the variables of teacher competence and learning motivation, as well as documentation to obtain data on PAI learning outcomes. Data analysis was conducted using simple and multiple regression tests, preceded by prerequisite tests, including validity, reliability, normality, and linearity tests. The results of the study indicate that teacher competence has a positive and significant effect on PAI learning outcomes. Students’ learning motivation is also proven to have a positive and significant effect on PAI learning outcomes. Simultaneously, teacher competence and students’ learning motivation make a significant contribution to the improvement of PAI learning outcomes. These findings suggest that enhancing the quality of teacher competence, accompanied by strengthening students’ learning motivation, can optimally improve learning achievement. Based on these findings, it is recommended that future researchers examine other variables that may influence learning outcomes, such as the learning environment, instructional strategies, and family support. Furthermore, future studies are encouraged to expand the research subjects across different educational levels and contexts to enhance the generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

The curriculum is a crucial element in the education system, serving as a reference for the learning process. The curriculum development process is carried out in stages, starting from the macro level to classroom implementation. This study aims to explain the stages of curriculum development in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The methodology used was qualitative research with a literature review approach. Data were collected from books, journals, and documents related to curriculum development. The results indicate that curriculum development consists of four main levels: the macro (national) level, the institutional level, the subject level, and the operational level in the classroom. These four levels are interconnected to create effective and meaningful learning

Abstract

The low level of fiqh muamalat literacy amidst widespread economic digitalization has contributed to serious socio-economic problems threatening the welfare of Muslim communities. Data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Statistics Indonesia (BPS) in 2024 recorded an Islamic financial literacy index of only 39.11%, far behind the 65.43% conventional financial literacy rate. This paradox is evident: Islamic financial inclusion continues to grow, yet public understanding of the underlying contracts remains alarmingly low. This gap is reflected in the proliferation of 2,481 illegal online lending platforms blocked between January 2023 and February 2024 (OJK, 2024), usurious paylater schemes, gharar-laden e-commerce transactions, and online gambling generating IDR 327 trillion in fund flows throughout 2023 (PPATK, 2024). This study employed a library research method with a pedagogical-sociological approach grounded in Vygotsky's social constructivism theory. The study argues that the root cause of all these problems lies in the failure of the doctrinal-textual curriculum approach to fiqh muamalat, not in individual moral failure. Three key findings emerged: first, the fiqh muamalat literacy crisis is structural in nature and poses a real threat to the socio-economic resilience of the Muslim community; second, the fiqh muamalat curriculum must shift from legal doctrine toward the internalization of seven character values; third, ten contextual learning strategies grounded in social constructivism represent the most relevant and effective approach. Revitalizing fiqh muamalat education through the Three Educational Centers synergy is key to producing a generation of Muslims who are Islamically economically literate and financially empowered.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of Regional Regulation of Pandeglang Regency Number 4 of 2008 concerning Environmental Cleanliness, Beauty, and Order (K3) at Teluk Labuan Beach during 2024–2025. The research is motivated by pressing environmental conditions, as data from SIPSN 2024 records an annual waste generation of 191,868.84 tons in Pandeglang Regency, with only about 34 percent properly managed. In addition, the 2024 Waste Management Performance Index (IKPS) places the regency at a low score of 44.7, particularly due to minimal human resource capacity and budget allocation. Teluk Labuan Beach, previously labeled among the dirtiest beaches in Indonesia by the Pandawara Group in 2023, continues to face recurring waste accumulation despite repeated clean-up initiatives. This study applies a descriptive qualitative method through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including the Environmental Agency, sub-district authorities, village officials, and local communities, supported by documentation and field observations. The analysis employs theories of legal effectiveness, policy implementation, and the perspective of siyasah dusturiyah. The findings identify several major challenges, including limited operational resources, low public awareness, weak enforcement of sanctions, and the natural topography of the bay that facilitates waste buildup. From the perspective of siyasah dusturiyah, the regulation’s implementation has not fully embodied the principles of public welfare and justice, indicating the need for stronger institutional commitment and comprehensive policy reinforcement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of reflection in deep learning within the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at SD Negeri 206/IV Kota Jambi, Indonesia, focusing on the implementation process and supporting factors. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving a teacher and fourth-grade students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that reflective practices were carried out through five stages: awareness of learning experiences, conceptual understanding, connecting materials to real-life contexts, awareness of learning strategies, and self-evaluation. The implementation of reflection was supported by active teacher involvement, the use of varied instructional methods, and a conducive learning environment. However, several challenges were identified, including limited instructional time, differences in students’ abilities, and students’ initial lack of understanding of reflective activities. The study concludes that reflection plays an important role in enhancing students’ understanding and engagement in deep learning and supports effective IPAS instruction at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The 2024 Indonesian presidential election is a crucial moment in political communication, with each candidate employing various campaign tactics to enhance their reputation and win public favor. The "Desak Anies Ambon" program is one such campaign that utilizes direct communication between the public and the candidate as a means to express goals and construct political meaning. This study employs a semiotic approach to examine Anies Baswedan's political communication style and uncovers how meaning is constructed in the "Desak Anies Ambon" program. This research employed an interpretive qualitative approach. Observations of the "Desak Anies Ambon" program uploaded to the official YouTube channel were used to collect data. Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic theory, which emphasizes the relationship between the signifier and the signified, was then used to study it. The findings indicate that a dialogic, relaxed, and responsive communication style was employed, fostering a sense of community, transparency, and inclusive leadership. Political messages were reinforced and made more understandable to the audience through the use of straightforward language, direct communication, and responsiveness to local issues. Consequently, this program's communication approach shaped the political image through a system of indicators interpreted by the public, while also serving as a campaign medium.
