Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the use of obstacle courses to stimulate the gross motor skills of 5–6-year-old children at the PKK AR RAHMAH Kindergarten. This study employs a qualitative, descriptive approach to capture and explain field phenomena in greater depth. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis process involved phases of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, with data validity tested using source and technique triangulation. The research findings confirm that obstacle course games contribute positively to children’s gross motor development, particularly in terms of balance, motor coordination, agility, and physical strength. The majority of children demonstrated significant developmental progress, shifting from the “Beginning to Develop” (BD) category to “Developing as Expected” (BD) and ultimately to “Developing Very Well” (DVW). Furthermore, this activity was shown to stimulate active engagement, learning motivation, and children’s self-confidence through a play-based learning environment. This study contributes to the field of early childhood education, particularly by offering innovative and easily implementable gamebased learning strategies to promote children’s gross motor development. Overall, obstacle course games are an effective learning strategy for optimizing the physical and gross motor development of young children.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesian primary schools remains understudied from multiperspective evaluation standpoints, particularly in non-pilot district schools. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at the fifth grade of elementary schools, through a qualitative descriptive single case study design. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews with teachers, the principal, three students, and one parent; one full-cycle classroom observation using a 16-indicator structured sheet; and documentary analysis of ten institutional documents including lesson modules, learning pathway documents (ATP), diagnostic assessment instruments, and student report cards. Results indicate that teachers have developed learning tools aligned with Capaian Pembelajaran (CP), implemented differentiated instruction and project-based learning (P5), and adopted descriptive, competency-based assessment. The principal provided systematic support through training, supervision, and community learning facilitation. Students demonstrated increased engagement, confidence, and creativity. However, three key challenges were identified: suboptimal utilization of diagnostic assessment data for instructional differentiation, limited teacher creativity under time pressure, and partially implemented critical thinking facilitation. This study concludes that effective Merdeka Curriculum implementation requires sustained teacher professional development, strong institutional leadership, and continuous multi-stakeholder collaboration.

Abstract

Arabic language learning in Indonesia has been dominated by traditional methods that emphasize memorization, grammar mastery, and the study of classical texts. While these methods have the advantage of strengthening the scientific foundation, the Alpha generation, as a digital generation, requires a more interactive, visual, and technology-based approach. This study aims to analyze the relevance of traditional and modern methods and formulate an integrative strategy that can address the needs of the Alpha generation in Arabic language learning. The research method uses a library study by reviewing various academic literature related to Arabic language pedagogy, the characteristics of the Alpha generation, and digital learning innovations. The results show that the integration of the two methods can create a balance between the depth of language structure offered by traditional methods and the flexibility, interactivity, and creativity offered by modern methods. Thus, this integration has the potential to produce an adaptive, relevant, and sustainable learning model to improve the Arabic language competence of the Alpha generation.

Abstract

The performance of Islamic mutual funds in Indonesia has fluctuated in recent years. Net Asset Value (NAV) reached its highest level in 2020, but declined sharply in 2021 and 2022. From 2023 to the present, NAV has not fully recovered despite showing an upward trend. Based on these conditions, this study aims to analyze the effect of inflation, exchange rate, interest rate (BI Rate), and GDP on the NAV of sharia mutual funds for the period 2019–2024. A quantitative method using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) approach was used to assess the short-term and long-term relationships. Monthly secondary data were processed through stationarity, cointegration, Impulse Response Function (IRF), and Forecast Error Variance Decomposition (FEVD) tests. The results show that inflation has a significant negative effect in the short and long term. The exchange rate has a significant positive effect, while interest rates are insignificant, indicating that Islamic investors are less interested in interest rates. GDP has a significant positive effect in the short term but not in the long term, meaning that economic growth only has a temporary impact on NAV.

The results showed that before the implementation of Quantum Teaching, students’ learning outcomes were low, with only 25% achieving the minimum mastery criteria. After applying the method, there was a significant improvement, with most students achieving scores above the minimum standard. Additionally, this method increased students’ activeness, motivation, and enthusiasm in the learning process. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Quantum Teaching method is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in Akidah Akhlak.
