Abstract

Eyebrow makeup is an important element in facial makeup, especially in Koto Gadang bridal makeup which highlights the beauty and harmony of the face as a whole. Thick eyebrows are often a challenge because they are difficult to shape and groom without shaving. This study aims to compare the results of correction of thick eyebrow shape using two techniques, namely eyelash glue and eyebrow pencil, in the context of Koto Gadang's bridal makeup. This study uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of six female students of Padang State University who were divided into two groups: three people using the eyelash glue technique and three people using eyebrow pencil. Data were collected through observations, documentation, and research instruments, and then analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and independent sample t-test. The results of the study show that there is a significant difference between the two techniques. The use of eyelash glue resulted in an ideal eyebrow shape of 81%, flatness 66.7%, adhesion 61.9%, and aesthetics 66.7%. Meanwhile, the eyebrow pencil technique obtained scores of 52.4%, 71.4%, 61.9%, and 76.2%, respectively. The statistical test showed a p<0.05 value on all aspects tested, indicating a significant difference. The conclusion of this study suggests the use of eyelash glue as a thick eyebrow correction technique because it provides durability and more even results than eyebrow pencils.

Abstract

This research aims to asses high scool students’ Masteri of lewis structures for chemical compounds at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila Employs a descriptive qualitative approach with subjects including Class X-V (18 Students), Class X-VII (19 Students), and Class XII-V (20 students), The research instrument used is a pre-test questionnaire comprising 15 multiple-choice questions on lewis structures. Data were analyzed based on students’ performance in answering question related to chemical bonding. Results indicate the mastery abilyti of class X-V students based on the overall test results obtained at 75.67% class x-VII students at 85.26%, and Class X-VIII students at 76.30% (Very, puor, category) therefore, it is necessary to enhace students’ mastery ability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in nail art results using the freehand technique and the stamping technique on artificial nails, reviewed from four aspects, namely neatness, color evenness, preference, and aesthetics. The research method used is a quantitative experiment involving 80 artificial nails, 40 artificial nails with the freehand technique and 40 artificial nails with the stamping technique. The assessment was carried out by a panel consisting of lecturers, beauty industry practitioners, and students of Makeup and Beauty at Padang State University. Data were obtained through observation and documentation, then analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that there were significant differences between the two techniques. The stamping technique was superior in terms of neatness and color evenness, while the freehand technique was superior in terms of aesthetics and preference. Based on the Mann-Whitney U test, a significant value of 0.030 <0.050 was obtained, which means there is a significant difference between the freehand technique and the stamping technique in terms of neatness. A significant value of 0.734>0.05 indicates that there is no significant difference between the freehand technique and the stamping technique in terms of color evenness. The significant value is 0.003 <0.05, which means there is a significant difference in the beauty aspect of the freehand technique and the stamping technique. In the aspect of liking the significant value is 0.163>0.05, which means there is no significant difference between the freehand technique and the stamping technique. These findings contribute to the development of nail art learning and become a practical reference in choosing techniques according to aesthetic and efficiency needs.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important role in supporting the national economy, especially in the agricultural and livestock sectors. Mr. Hanafi's cattle farming business in Patumbak Village is one that plays a very important role in empowering the local economy. However, the limitations of the local community to be able to utilize the potential of resources have caused the progress of cattle sales to be less than optimal. The purpose of this study is to improve the knowledge and skills of cattle farming entrepreneurs through business management strategies, namely marketing strategies. The implementation of activities uses direct socialization and practice methods to cattle farming entrepreneurs, related stakeholders, and local community leaders. It is hoped that through a community empowerment approach in cattle farming business management strategies, it can help the local economy and maximize economic growth.

Abstract

Technological developments require da’wah to update its concept to be more modern and not left behind. So Log In is present as a da’wah media that follows the development of the times, both in terms of technology and social aspects. Log In content is an effective da’wah media for the current generation, by following social life updates that are running quite quickly. The communication method in the “Log In” podcast has applied the principles that exist in Islamic communication. With the “Log In podcast, a significant influence on society began to be seen. Millions of loyal viewers of this podcast began to be influenced by the contents of the da’wah message conveyed, and some of them even began to practice it in their daily lives. This shows that the principles of Islamic communication, such as honesty, patience, politeness, and empathy, can be applied effectively in various contexts, providing a broad positive impact on listeners and society in general

Abstract

Habiburrahman El Shirazy's novel entitled Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2, there are parts of the story that show a change in the attitude of the character who initially hated Islam to be positive towards Islam. This is of course due to the da'wah process which is not only through oral and written but also attitudes and actions that show good Islam. The purpose of this study was to determine the representation of da'wah in the novel AyatAyat Cinta 2 seen based on the storyline and characters, as well as the author's extrinsic element in representing da'wah in the novel. This research uses descriptive method using narrative analysis of Tzvetan Todorov and Algirdas Greimas, as the analysis knife. Furthermore it is known that most of the da'wah shown in this novel was carried out by Fahri. Fahri does all kinds of da'wah. Da'wah can be done by anyone and the person who does this da'wah is someone who knows and understands what should be done then invites others to do the same. The author's extrinsic element in representing da'wah in the novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2, namely, biography or rather the educational background, personal experience, and social conditions seen and experienced by the author.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of social competence of teachers in three secondary schools with different characteristics, namely SMAN 1 Tambang, Al-Ihsan Boarding School and SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. Social competence does not only include the ability to communicate, but also interact and build positive relationships with students, fellow teachers, parents, and the surrounding community, which are very important in planning and implementing effective and enjoyable classroom learning. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and direct observations to explore the experiences of teachers, principals, and students in the daily learning process. The results of the study showed variations in the application of social competence which were influenced by social environmental factors, facilities, and teacher readiness in responding to changes in education policy. Despite facing challenges such as limited facilities and administrative burdens, some teachers were able to demonstrate high dedication and innovation in learning. This study provides a comprehensive picture of social practices in the field and is expected to be an input in formulating policies to improve teacher quality contextually and sustainably.

Abstract

This study expects solvency and profitability factors to be considered to understand the financial performance of the Makassar Regional Water Company (PDAM) from 2020 to 2024. This type of research is descriptive and quantitative. The city part of this study is the Financial Complaint of PDAM Makassar for the fifth period (2020-2024). The representative part of this audit is the judges and complaints related to the performance of Damas PDAM Makassar City for the 5th period (2020-2024). The information collection technique used in this audit is part-time documentation and the description of the information used in this audit is the details of solvency and profitability. The results of the study show solvency below the Kutel standard, a company that lays off PDAM Makassar City workers before paying off debts classified by contract. DAR and DER have decreased from year to year, and we can see that DAR and DER are in the lower range than the company average during the period 2023-2024. Profitability analysis shows that the company's internal talent generates great benefits through the overall NPM commitment. On the other hand, seen from ROI and ROE, the company has not been able to utilize all of its product raw materials to achieve net profit.

Abstract

SD Negeri Wailiti is an institution engaged in education located in Maumere City, Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. In carrying out its operational activities, SD Negeri Wailiti requires an effective and efficient information system to manage the school profile. School profile is the school's data that includes name, history, vision and mission, founder, address, city, contact number as well as school facilities and all forms of activities held by the school. Some of these data need to be packaged in a permanent online facility or media so that in the future it can be used. From the data obtained, it is said that the system used by SDN Wailiti is still oral, namely socialisation in the surrounding community and through information boards or brochures. The purpose of this research is to develop a web-based school profile information system at SD Negeri Wailiti using the waterfall method because this method is the most suitable development model used by developers, system project work is easy to control and can be on time. The programming language that the author uses is PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) and uses MySQL database. This information system can be used by the school to improve the quality of information services to the community. Testing the feasibility of the system using blackbox testing.

Abstract

This study explores the role of interpersonal communication in the development of marital relationships, particularly when facing household challenges such as suspicion, dishonesty, and lack of emotional support. Using a case study approach, this research analyzes communication patterns, the impact of communication problems on interpersonal attraction, their effects on the process of building a marital relationship, and effective communication strategies for repairing, strengthening, and maintaining the relationship between husband and wife. The findings reveal that open communication, empathy, and emotional support are key factors in enhancing harmony and attraction in marital relationships. Conversely, closed communication patterns, negative dominance, and a lack of empathy and honesty increase the risk of conflict and reduce relationship quality. This paper also identifies effective communication strategies that couples can apply to nurture their relationships, such as improving openness, honesty, and mutual emotional support. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for maintaining harmonious marriages amid the challenges of modern life.
