Abstract

Disorders of the human sensory system can significantly impact quality of life, affecting communication skills, mobility, and daily activities. This study analyzes the relationship between sensory system disorders and human health using a descriptive qualitative approach. The method involves collecting data from relevant literature and thematic analysis to understand the causes, impacts, and preventive measures for sensory disorders. The research findings indicate that early detection and appropriate handling are crucial to mitigate negative effects. Public awareness of the importance of maintaining sensory system health also needs to be enhanced through education and collaboration among various stakeholders.

Abstract

Corticosteroid hormones play a vital role in maintaining human homeostasis by regulating energy metabolism and stress responses. Glucocorticoids, such as cortisol, and mineralocorticoids, such as aldosterone, have specific functions in metabolic processes and electrolyte balance. Activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis during stress responses triggers corticosteroid release, enabling the body to cope with physical and psychological challenges. However, corticosteroid dysregulation can lead to various clinical disorders, such as Cushing's syndrome and Addison's disease, impacting metabolism and overall health. Furthermore, while corticosteroids are widely used in treating inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, prolonged use can cause severe side effects. This article aims to review the mechanisms, physiological roles, pathological impacts, and therapeutic potentials of corticosteroid hormones. The findings highlight the importance of managing these hormones in clinical conditions and the opportunities for developing more targeted and safer therapies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of biochemistry in the processing of functional foods and its impact on the nutritional content and bioactive compounds. The method used is a literature review, collecting and analyzing relevant literature on biochemistry, food processing, and functional foods. The results show that biochemical processes, such as fermentation and heating, can affect the nutritional content of food. Fermentation can increase the content of probiotics and unsaturated fatty acids that are beneficial for health, while excessive heating can damage sensitive compounds like vitamin C. Proper processing can enhance the bioavailability of bioactive compounds, thus optimizing the health benefits of functional foods. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of understanding biochemical processes in food processing to maximize health benefits.

Abstract

Why is it important reproductive and endocr'ine system ,s rmportanl for someone io be learned by s1udying embryology? Both of lhese syslems, reproductive and endocrine systems ure the most interconnected in lhe study of embryology. f'or example, when spermaiogenesis (sperm for-ma1ion process), will be studied how the male sex glands as the production of sperm, and then at the end of the study as well as the hormonal regulation of spermatogenesis. In the second chapter of this book discussed on the reproduclive syslem, including ultra strucrure and fsiologis of male and female reproduc1ive systems. In lhe next section, is also discussed about the endoc-rine system.

Abstract

Currently, many teachers or lecturers are using educational videos as a learning tool for students. This research aims to identify and classify the types of illocutionary speech acts found in the educational videos on social theory and citizenship on the YouTube channel GCED ISOLAedu. This research employs two main approaches, namely theoretical and methodological. By utilizing a qualitative approach with a descriptive nature, the researcher will provide a detailed and in-depth depiction of the use of illocutionary acts in the video. The data collection process involves: (1) Gathering data through the technique of free observation and conversation involvement, as well as note-taking techniques, (2) Analyzing data using matching methods and distribution methods, and (3) Presenting the data analysis using both formal and informal methods. Based on the analysis conducted on seven educational videos on Social Theory & Citizenship 2024 on the YouTube channel GCED ISOLAedu. Researchers found 143 speech acts that contain illocution. The first illocutionary act is the representative speech act, with 118 data consisting of explanations and statements. Second, the commissive speech act has 2 data points involving offers and promises. Third, the expressive speech act includes 7 data points related to greetings and expressions of gratitude. Fourth, the directive speech act comprises 15 data points that involve asking, requesting, and inviting. Lastly, the declarative speech act contains 1 data points related to commands. The benefit of this research is to provide knowledge in the field of pragmatics, particularly regarding types of illocutionary acts, and to enable an understanding of these illocutionary acts without misunderstandings in receiving the information conveyed by the speaker.

Abstract

In today's digital era, there are many educational video contents about UTBK that can be accessed through various social media platforms. Each video is expected to be useful for students in preparing for the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK). This study aims to examine the types of speech acts, classify the forms of illocutionary speech acts in learning videos, and evaluate whether these speech acts are useful for students who will face UTBK. Illocutionary speech acts relate to the effect of data obtained by speech partners on an utterance that has been spoken from the speaker. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method to identify related data. The data results were obtained from nineteen “Siap UTBK 2023” videos in the Ruangguru playlist, using the listening and note-taking technique. Researchers watched educational videos about UTBK in Ruangguru playlist, then recorded and recorded statements that contained illocutionary speech acts. This research uses data analysis method in the form of agih technique to evaluate the type and form of illocutionary speech. Based on the data analysis, it can be found that there are assertive speech acts, directive speech acts, declarative speech acts, commissive speech acts, and expressive speech acts. Assertive speech acts can be in the form of stating, directive speech acts give prohibitions or orders, declarative speech acts give orders or form new perceptions, commissive speech acts promise or offer, while expressive speech acts contain hope or praise. Based on the results of the analysis in this study, the researcher hopes that it can deepen an understanding of illocutionary speech acts and how they are used, recognize the types of illocutionary speech acts, and convey directions to education and writers of UTBK learning materials to develop abilities in the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this writing is to find out the extent of the application of semantics in Indonesian language learning at Sinar Pancasila Private High School. Apart from that, this research also provides a specific picture of the problem of semantic learning in schools. Data is taken from sentences delivered by a teacher who are interested in semantics. Data sources were taken from the semantics of books written by experts and interviews with fellow Indonesian language teachers at Sinar Pancasila Private High School. The research results show that there are several semantic meanings used in Indonesian language learning, namely, affective meaning, denotative meaning, descriptive meaning, emotive meaning, figurative meaning. Apart from that, several efforts were also found that could overcome semantic learning problems in schools.

Abstract

The role of parents is an important factor in the process of child development. Parents play a role in ensuring that children are healthy and safe by providing facilities and infrastructure to develop social skills and character and media to instill social and cultural values ​​as early as possible. Parents provide affection, acceptance, appreciation, recognition, and direction or guidance to their children. The relationship between parents and children is very important for building trust in others and themselves. It can also help the child's social, emotional and cognitive development. Research shows that a warm, open and communicative parent-child relationship; having reasonable age limits; and communicating why children should not do something will increase self-confidence and achievement in school and society.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of class IV students at SD Muhammadiyah Sijabut are due to the lack of direct student involvement in the learning process. To overcome this problem, classroom action research (PTK) was carried out using science teaching aids. The aim of this research is to improve student learning outcomes by using class IV science teaching aids at SD Muhammadiyah Sijabut. The research subjects were 22 students, the research data sources were obtained from qualitative data in the form of data from observations of teacher and student activities as well as quantitative data in the form of test data on student learning outcomes. The results of the first cycle of research showed that 8 students out of 22 students completed individually with classical completeness of 36% and classical absorption of 63%. Meanwhile, the results of the second cycle of research experienced an increase with the number of students completing individually as many as 18 students out of 22 students who took part in learning with a classical completion percentage of 82% with a classical absorption capacity of 85%. Based on the results of this research, learning using science teaching aids can improve the learning outcomes of class IV students at SD Muhammadiyah Sijabut.

Abstract

Science learning at school places greater emphasis on mastering basic scientific work abilities or science process skills, so that learning is more meaningful. However, based on observations made by researchers through field observations of the reality of science learning that takes place in class IV UPTD SD NEGERI 017973 KISARAN KOTA, it shows that there are still weaknesses in the science learning process which results in a decline in student learning outcomes. The weakness of science learning found in class IV UPTD SD NEGERI 017973 KISARAN KOTA is that this learning places more emphasis on mastering a number of facts and concepts, but does not facilitate students to obtain comprehensive and meaningful learning outcomes. The high percentage of students who have not been able to achieve the minimum completeness criteria, namely 36% indicated that the completeness of students' classical learning outcomes in this class was still not optimal so it needed to be improved. This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class IV UPTD SD NEGERI 017973 KISARAN KOTA students by using the demonstration method in science learning.
