Abstract

The research aims to trace the historicity of Islamic education at Al-irsyad and Jami'at Khair up to the present, while the research method used is library research through an in-depth analysis of the history and educational systems of the two institutions. By presenting the expected results, this research aims to understand better the effectiveness of the educational methods applied. These results may include assessing students' understanding of Islamic history and educational material Al-irsyad and Jamiat Khair. Therefore, this summary provides a comprehensive view of the contribution of research to innovation and improving the quality of Islamic education in Al Irsyad and Jami'atul Khair. By developing new organizational patterns, the Al Irsyad and Jamiat Khair movements are trying to answer the challenges and demands of modern education and da'wah in the era of globalization. The Al Irsyad organization guides the carrying out of the mandate of educational institutions under their guidance, including the formulation of educational foundations, educational insights, and reference school models in Islamic education.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and explain the management of child-friendly schools which is a real implementation of ukhuwah wathoniyah in several schools assisted by the Branch Board of Ma'arif Nahdlatul Ulama Education Institution Sidoarjo, namely: MI NU KH Mukmin, MI NU Pucang, and MI Darun Najah Sukodono, Madrasah Tsanawiyah NU Sidoarjo, and Taruna Tarik Vocational High School. This management process includes planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and the role of various parties such as principals, teachers, parents, and external parties in supporting child-friendly school programs. In planning, indicators of child-friendly school implementation are created by the eight national education standards. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results reflect the school's seriousness in implementing the concept of child-friendly schools as an integral part of ukhuwah wathoniyah. The program not only involves the internal school but also involves active participation from parents and external parties. Thus, child-friendly school management in schools assisted by the Branch Manager of the Ma'arif Nahdlatul Ulama Educational Institution in Sidoarjo can be considered an inspiring model and has a positive impact on the education of children in the neighborhood.

Abstract

This research delves into the multifaceted role of Sunnah as a vital bridge connecting the theological and practical dimensions of Islam. By examining the theological foundations of Sunnah, exploring its relationship with the Qur'an, and investigating its compilation and preservation, this study elucidates the paramount significance of Sunnah in safeguarding the spiritual legacy of Islam. Employing a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach, this research underscores Sunnah's pivotal role as a source of moral and ethical guidance, investigating its influence on individual character and communal behavior. Methodologically, this study employs qualitative analysis, drawing on classical Islamic texts, scholarly opinions, and historical records to construct a comprehensive narrative. Additionally, contemporary perspectives are integrated to highlight the relevance of Sunnah in the modern context. The legal and juridical implications of Sunnah are examined within Islamic thought and practice, uncovering its profound impact on legal frameworks. Through an exploration of rituals and worship, this research unveils Sunnah's transformative power in establishing profound spiritual connectivity. Furthermore, it illuminates the guiding light that Sunnah provides in social and interpersonal relations, fostering harmonious community interactions. This study establishes Sunnah as a dynamic and indispensable bridge, synthesizing theological foundations with practical application. It underscores the enduring relevance of Sunnah in contemporary times, reinforcing its role as a guiding compass for individuals and societies alike, fostering holistic development and ethical progress.

Abstract

The Qur'an is a book of guidance for science, modern science, law, wisdom, truth, justice, aqidah, and morality that has been applied to straighten out human actions as a way of salvation in the world hereafter. How to understand the Qur'an is by the method of tafsir, which has been written by many mufassir, one of which is tafsir ilmi. The purpose of this study is to describe the great flood at the time of Nuh from the perspective of scientific explanation of Sheikh Tantawijauhari, the primary source of his tafsir book entitled Al-Jawahir fi Tafsir Al-Qur'an Al-Karim. This research uses a library research method with a descriptive analysis approach. The data collection method used is documentation. The result of the study is Tufan Nuh in Surah Al'-Ankabut referred to as tasliyah the sadness of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, steadfastness in preaching tawhid, filling the age of human life with mujahadah, Allah saves believers and punishes those who disbelieve, the loss of several continents and the extinction of several species of animals on earth. So it will be revealed that the great flood turned out to have extraordinary wisdom for humans.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes by applying strategies of Discovery learning in class IX-E students at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu. Based on Bruner's theory, this research uses a qualitative approach with Classroom Action Research (CAR) types. Data was collected using observation techniques, documentation, and learning results tests from informants of 30 class IX-E students at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu. This CAR was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research results show that the implementation of the Discovery learning strategy in the material on "understanding the postulates of naqli and the wisdom of believing in the akhirat" by students of Class IX-E of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu showed positive results with indicators: (1). Result of the average class score increased to 85, with the percentage of students achieving Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC) of 90%; (2). Students' enthusiasm and motivation in learning increased, as seen from active participation in discussion activities; (3). The Discovery learning strategy has proven effective in helping students discover the concept of iman independently and understand it better. Therefore, it is recommended that the application of this strategy be further developed in learning PAI subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the dialectic of Qur'anic argumentation regarding Maryam's prophethood from the perspective of two famous commentators, Al-Tabari and Al-Qurthubi, because some interpretations of Maryam's prophethood are considered misogynic by certain circles. Maryam's prophethood is an essential aspect of Islamic theology and has been described in the Qur'an with several verses that provide an overview of Maryam's prophetic role and status. This article aims to understand the interpretive approaches of Al-Tabari and Al-Qurthubi in exploring and explaining Qur'ānic verses related to Maryam's prophethood. The method of analysis used in this article involves a critical review of the commentaries of Al-Tabari and Al-Qurthubi regarding the verses that explain Maryam's prophethood. A comparative approach is used to compare the similarities and differences between the views of the two scholars. In addition, this article also analyzes the historical and cultural context of Al-Tabari and Al-Qurthubi's time to provide a deeper understanding of their interpretations. The analysis shows that Al-Tabari tends to adopt a more historical and linguistic approach in his interpretation. He explores the meanings of words in the relevant verses and relates them to the historical context of the time. On the other hand, Al-Qurthubi tends to adopt a more theological and moral approach in his interpretation. He emphasizes the moral and spiritual messages that can be taken from the prophetic story of Maryam. However, this study has a weak point that can be covered by further research by not exploring the arguments and evidence used by Al-Tabari and Al-Qurthubi in their interpretations critically or by using an approach that can uncover the ideological reasons behind their interpretations.
