Abdi Samulang adalah Jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang diterbitkan dan dikelola oleh Yayasan Habiburrahman Jamalu Bina Ummat dalam bidang sosial. Abstract

English language skills are one of the urgent needs for cardiovascular students at Megarezky University. Because the cardiovascular field is concerned with heart health, it often involves interaction with researchers, health practitioners, and international colleagues. The main purpose of application-based English learning assistance for cardiovascular students is to improve English language skills through the use of interactive learning applications. This community service uses a descriptive method. Based on the results of feedback and evaluation of this training activity, the PKM Team concluded that BDL application-based English learning assistance activities can improve student communication skills. Where Cardiovascular students become more able to communicate fluently and effectively in English. They can participate in group discussions, deliver presentations, and write reports well in English. This ability is invaluable in the world of work, especially in the cardiovascular field which involves interaction with researchers, health practitioners, and international colleagues.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an literacy is a mastery skill in developing three main abilities in interacting with the Al-Qur'an, these abilities are the ability to read, write and memorize the Al-Qur'an. To foster a sense of love for the Qur'an from an early age, a program to strengthen Al-Qur'an literacy was held at SD Negeri 69 Batu Tiroa. The purpose of this study is to describe how the implementation of strengthening Al-Qur'an literacy as an increase in students' interest in reading the Al-Qur'an at SD Negeri 69 Batu Tiroa. This study uses qualitative research. Data collection techniques from this study are in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The implementation of Al-Qur'an literacy at SD Negeri 69 Batu Tiroa is still very minimal or still in the early stages, namely still in the process of learning iqra volumes 2 to 3 and there are even some students who are still in the stage of just starting to read Al-Qur'an The Qur'an or in other words is still in the process of learning iqra volume 1. The obstacles faced during the implementation of Al-Qur'an literacy at SD Neger 69 Batu Tiroa are students who are still unable to read the Qur'an and do not have full awareness to carry out Al-Qur'an literacy which is carried out. Therefore, it is hoped that there will be attention from teachers and parents so that students are able to read, write, and memorize the Al-Qur'an properly

Abstract

Differentiated learning in Kindergarten (TK) highlights approaches that consider individual differences in preschool children's learning experiences. This service aims to analyze the types of diversity of students and their needs, assess child-centered learning and school ecosystems, design child-centered learning, and design child-centered school ecosystems. The implementation strategy starts from the self, concept exploration, collaboration space, guided reflection, contextual demonstration, elaboration of understanding, connections between materials, and real action plans. The results of this service contribute to a practical understanding of the implementation of differentiated learning in kindergarten. This service also has implications for developing a curriculum that is more adaptive and responsive to the unique needs of each child. Thus, differentiated learning in kindergarten not only enriches children's learning experiences, but also creates a strong foundation for students' holistic growth and development.

Abstract

This community service aims to investigate and provide a deeper understanding of the impact of social media usage on the cognitive development of students at SMA Negeri 4 Takalar, with activities conducted on November 24, 2023. Social media has become a dominant phenomenon in the lives of adolescents, raising questions about the implications of this behavior on their cognitive aspects. A community service approach was employed, involving observations and interviews with students at SMA Negeri 4 Takalar through discussion sessions. The outcomes of this community service highlight that social media usage can have both positive and negative impacts on the cognitive development of children. Positive aspects include increased creativity, expanded insights, and critical thinking abilities. On the other hand, the risks of information overload and a decline in direct social interactions are significant concerns. The roles of parents and educators are identified as crucial in guiding children to wisely manage their use of social media. Awareness of the importance of a balanced approach and appropriate management of social media for children is the essence of this community service effort. Through this activity, it is hoped that SMA Negeri 4 Takalar will gain a better understanding and manage the impact of social media usage on the cognitive development of children. Dissemination of information and empowerment for parents, educators, and students are expected to contribute positively to creating an environment that supports healthy cognitive development for children in this digital era.

Abstract

The purpose of this Community Service is to provide assistance to the learning committee in understanding differentiated learning of student-centered learning. Partners in this community service activity are 4 mobilizing schools, namely SMPN 1 Liliriaja, SMPN 3 Liliriaja, SDN 108 Talepu, and SDN 133 Takalala in Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi Province, consisting of 16 learning committees. The form of activity goes through four stages, namely; 1) presentation of learning materials, 2) Assistance in designing Real Actions, 3) solving problems through lighter questions and 4) Feedback or reflection on activities to all Workshop Participants Learning planning 1. The results of feedback or evaluation showed that 80% of participants answered strongly agree related to the presentation of material and discussion was enough to make the workshop participants understand, then 100% answered strongly agree to the question 'The material presented is according to my needs', and 95% answered very seventh to the question 'My understanding greatly improved after attending the lesson planning workshop 1'. So it can be concluded that this community service activity went well and successfully.

Abstract

One of the work programs for Class 6 Teaching Campus students is the show and tell method as a literacy learning material at the Muhammadiyah 1 LP Layang Elementary School, Makassar City, South Sulawesi. This activity aims to help students improve literacy and numeracy. Apart from that, students also prepare work programs to help schools, especially in classroom learning. This program is expected to have a positive impact on schools by honing students' skills in writing, reading, and speaking. Apart from that, by collaborating between teachers and students, the Teaching Campus can develop students' insight, character, and soft skills; increasing the role and real contribution of universities and students in national development. The impact felt by students as long as the Teaching Campus students accompany teachers in teaching in class is an increase in the percentage of motivation and interest in learning by around 70-80%. Teaching Campus teachers and students are required to be able to design learning activities from planning to evaluation in a simpler, creative and effective way. Teaching Campus students and teachers at schools also work together as partners in preparing, tidying up and completing the principal's administration. This aims to make it easier for schools to improve school quality.

Abstract

The school literacy movement (GLS) is a comprehensive effort that involves all school members such as teachers, students, student guardians and the community as part of the education ecosystem. Literacy, which means being literate or being able to read, is a powerful weapon for changing the social status of a nation. Reading is not only understood to mean a series of letters, words, pharases and sentences but also “reading” in the sense of intrpreting a series of multidimensional life events. If educating means teaching how to interpret the entire journey of life, then educating means teaching how to read. The literacy skills of indonesian students are in a worryng condition, so one of the efforts made by the indonesian government through the ministry of educations and culture is to launch a literacy movement (GLS) the school literacy movement is a comprehensive effort to make schools a learning oerganization whose citizens are lifelong literate through public involvement. Students’ lack of awareness of reading results in the urgency of literacy needing to be instilled from elementary school age. Seeing that the condition of students’ literacy skills at SD Negeri 56 Palilang is still very poor, so there is a need for encouragement and continuous guidance to improve it, so that the service implements the habit of liking reading which aims to improve students’ literacy skills and can increase students’ interest in reading at SD Negeri 56 Palilang. This schools literation movement is designed so that students can realize how important it is for students to increase their interest in reading. To see the results of reading tutoring, we carry out an evaluation by giving one reading to students.

Abstract

Satisfaction in services contained in a hospital can be measured by the quality of its health workers. High-quality health services are able to provide satisfaction to health service users at the standard level of satisfaction and code of ethics of a profession. Continuous improvement can be done through a process that is carried out on the quality of health services to meet all customer expectations. The purpose of this activity is to socialize the quality of outpatient services at Manguharjo Madiun Lung Hospital. The results of this PKM socialization showed that respondents who stated that they were satisfied with the quality of officer service because officers had the ability/reliability and experience in carrying out medical actions. This shows that the better the service provided by officers to patients related to the actions given, and can provide clear information related to the disease and the actions to be taken, the customer/patient will feel more satisfied with the service received. In order to better understand and understand how the quality of service in the hospital, especially outpatient, is in accordance with the patient's expectations with the reality felt during the examination. So it is important to provide this education to patients so that they are a little educated and not easily consumed by hoaxes about the issue of poor service.

Abstract

Stigmatization of children living with HIV/AIDS (ADHA) has led to discrimination against access to literacy for ADHA. Every child, including ADHA, needs literacy skills, especially language and culture. Therefore, good practices to equalize and improve literacy for ADHA, especially in the Yayasan Lentera Shelter House in Surakarta City, are needed. The service location was chosen in Surakarta City, with partner Yayasan Lentera, as an intensive place for ADHA. The service activities involved 25 ADHA participants aged 10-12 years from primary education. Facing community stigmatization of ADHA, the service team designed good practices for equal access to literacy using three-dimensional storybooks. The activity involved the participants' experience and understanding of Central Java folklore, with a pre-test on the Bledug Kuwu story. The service was carried out through three stages: filling in the pre-test, reading the folklore using a three-dimensional illustrated storybook, and post-test. The results showed a significant increase in ADHA's understanding and knowledge of Central Java folklore material presented through three-dimensional picture storybooks. This media is adequate because it can increase participants' focus while strengthening language and cultural literacy. Evaluation of the program's success refers to the participants' post-test results. The program successfully stimulated the interest and enthusiasm of participants, creating positive changes in ADHA literacy in Surakarta City.

Abstract

The takraw ball craft business is located in the Bontomanai hamlet, Kalebarembeng Village, Bontonompo District, Gowa Regency. The main income of the community apart from the takraw ball woven craft is mostly farmers and traders. The aim of the Community Empowerment Program activities is to improve the standard of living of the community by developing partner businesses and improving marketing technology for the woven rattan takraw ball craft business in Kalebarembeng Village, Bontonompo District, Gowa Regency by providing business development training and marketing technology training for the rattan woven takraw ball craft business. To achieve this goal, two approaches were taken. Firstly, to increase knowledge in developing the rattan woven takraw ball craft business and secondly to increase technological capabilities and skills in marketing the rattan woven takraw ball craft business so that the problems faced by the partners can be resolved well.
