Abstract

This PKM aims to educate and strengthen customer trust in the performance of Islamic banking. This program aims to improve public literacy regarding Islamic banking products and services while strengthening customer trust through education and direct approaches in certain areas. The results of the PKM show that 1) The Influence of Macroeconomic Factors on Islamic Banking Performance: Economic Growth, Inflation and Interest Rates (BI Rate or Equivalent). 2) The Influence of Microeconomic Factors on Islamic Banking Performance: Capital Capacity, Asset Quality and Operational Efficiency. 3) The Impact of Government Policies and Regulations: The Role of Financial Authorities and Islamic Financial Instruments. 4) The Socio-Economic Role of Society: Public Awareness and Preferences as well as Public Purchasing Power and Consumption. Thus, customer trust in Islamic banking can increase, which will ultimately encourage the contribution of Islamic banking to local economic growth.

Abstract

Violence in football has increased in the last decade. This phenomenon is not only studied sociologically, but also through a legal approach. The socialization of activities was carried out in Bontoraya Village, Batang District, Jeneponto Regency. The approach used in this Community Service activity is an educational approach and a sports law approach, where this approach is used to examine the riots that usually occur in sports events and transform them into regulations or laws on violence in football. Violence can be committed by anyone, and the consequences must be understood. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct socialization to the Local Sports Community in Bontoraya Village that this violence is a criminal act or ordinary violation. The material for this socialization aims to improve sports values ​​to reduce violence at sporting events.

Abstract

The Kampus Mengajar Program aims to improve the quality of education in regional schools through student involvement in community service activities. This service discusses the implementation of the Literacy Tree as an innovation in building a culture of literacy at SD 81 Bukamata. The service aims to increase students' interest in reading at SD 81 Bukamata through a creative and innovative approach, develop a culture of literacy in the school environment, provide a fun and meaningful learning experience for students, encourage the involvement of teachers, parents, and the community in supporting literacy programs. The methods used include initial observation, making Literacy Tree media, implementing daily reading activities, and evaluating student development. The results showed a significant increase in student participation in literacy activities, strengthening the culture of reading in schools, and close collaboration between teachers, students, and parents. This program also succeeded in creating an interactive and fun learning atmosphere. With the Literacy Tree, students are not only encouraged to read but also to write and speak more confidently. This program is expected to be a model to be implemented in other schools in order to build a broader and more sustainable literacy ecosystem.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding of English grammar among members of the New Generation Club (NGC) through an interactive method. The program consists of several stages, including planning meetings, guided training, group discussions, practical simulations, and the provision of relevant reference books such as The Art of English and Grammar is Easy. The results of this training show significant improvements in participants' grammar skills, as well as increased confidence in communicating in English. The interactive discussion method applied has proven effective in deepening participants' understanding of grammar structures, while the use of reference books provides a strong foundation for continuous learning. Participants have shown progress not only in their understanding of grammar but also in their speaking and interaction skills in English. This training has made a positive contribution to the development of English language skills among New Generation Club members, and with its enjoyable and relevant approach to participants' needs, the training encourages them to continue learning and independently honing their language skills.

Abstract

Digital literacy is an essential ability that students must have to face the challenges of the digital era. However, many students still use technology passively without developing creative and productive skills. The "Visual Learning with Canva: Increasing Students' Digital Literacy with Interactive Design Media at SMA 23 Makassar" program aims to increase students' digital literacy through a design-based learning approach. Students will learn to create visual content such as posters, infographics, and presentations that are relevant to learning. This training integrates digital literacy, creativity, and critical thinking skills as provisions for students to improve their learning abilities. The expected results of this training are an increase in students' ability to understand and use technology productively, as well as the creation of quality visual content that can support the learning process and increase participants' digital literacy.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the competence of elementary school teachers in Makassar in teaching English through a collaborative approach. This training is designed to equip teachers with innovative, communicative-based teaching strategies that are in accordance with the needs of elementary school students. The methods used in this training include interactive workshops, group discussions, and teaching simulations that allow participants to directly practice the material they have learned. In addition, a collaborative approach is applied by involving teachers in sharing experiences and preparing joint lesson plans. The results of the activity show that this training has a positive impact on teachers' understanding of effective English teaching methods. Participants responded positively to the material presented and felt more confident in implementing new strategies in the classroom. In addition, collaboration between teachers also increased, creating a learning community that supports continuous professional development. In conclusion, this training has succeeded in making a real contribution to improving the quality of English teaching in elementary schools. It is hoped that similar activities can continue to be carried out to support teacher professionalism and improve the quality of English education at the elementary level.

Abstract

This study examines the application of the Make A Match cooperative learning model in learning assistance at SD Negeri 1 Selaawi, Pasawahan District, Purwakarta Regency. The primary goal of this program is to enhance students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The research employs the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, engaging first-grade students in interactive learning activities using question-and-answer cards to match learned concepts. The results indicate that this approach effectively increases students' active participation and enthusiasm. Out of 29 students, 27 stated that this learning method was enjoyable. Thus, the Make A Match model has been proven to enhance student engagement in learning while providing a more enjoyable and interactive learning experience.

Abstract

This community service aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of local residents in utilizing peatlands and processing cow manure into organic fertilizer. The activity was conducted in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, on November 2–3, 2023, with 25 participants. The method included delivering materials, administering a pretest, and conducting hands-on training on producing solid organic fertilizer from cow manure and liquid organic fertilizer from cow urine. The results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding of peatland potential, the benefits of organic fertilizer, and waste processing techniques. All participants expressed readiness to apply and further develop these skills, indicating the success of the program in supporting sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity aims to improve the data literacy and visualization skills of students of the Information Systems Study Program at Megarezky University through Python for Data Visualization training: Developing Soft Skills for Data Literacy of Megarezky University Students. The training was carried out in the form of an interactive workshop based on direct practice, including the use of Pandas, Matplotlib, and Seaborn. The results of the pre-test and post-test showed an increase in technical understanding of 38%, with 82% of participants being able to apply Python syntax independently. In addition, mini projects arranged in groups showed the development of soft skills, such as critical thinking, teamwork, and visual communication. As many as 100% of groups compiled data narratives logically and communicatively. The output of the activity in the form of project reports and infographics can be used as portfolios and teaching materials. The final questionnaire showed that 96% of participants assessed the application training and expressed interest in taking further training. This activity is a strategy to strengthen students' data competencies based on practice. Keywords: Python, data visualization, data exploration, students, soft skills

Abstract

English public speaking skills are one of the essential competencies needed by students as future leaders in the global era. Basic Leadership Training (BLT) is a strategic moment to not only instill leadership values but also hone effective communication skills. However, many students still experience obstacles in conveying ideas verbally in English, such as a lack of self-confidence, vocabulary mastery, and limited public speaking experience. This community service activity aims to improve English public speaking skills for LDK participants through a practical and communicative training approach. The methods used include providing basic public speaking materials, simulations, presentation practices, and performance evaluations. The training was carried out interactively in the form of workshops with an active participation-based learning approach. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the aspects of self-confidence, delivery structure, and communication skills of participants in using English. This activity is expected to support the development of students' soft skills, especially in facing communication challenges in the era of modern leadership that is multilingual and multicultural.
