Abstract

In choosing supplier supplying goods to companies, there are many considerations in making decision to choice  appropriate suppliers. In order to make an appropriate decision there is a need to choice suitable suppliers. In this study, the AHP is used to choose supplier using case example from electricity generating companies.            Based on the research results  by applying the method of AHP, then the value of the highest weight is the value of quantity attribute (1.0610), then the weight of the price (0.9942), availability of materials (0.9893), quality (0.9888), and continuity attribute (0.8419). As the alternative preferences, which gained the highest weightis in the followings;  PT. Kawanua Rekacipta (2.4174), CV. Karya Citra Abadi (1.2595), dan CV. Diva Multi Prima (1.2140). . Abstract

ABSTRACK Waste is an activity that absorbs or wasting of resources such as time or added expenses but do not add any value in activities. Each production process generally have opportunities for waste generation, especially on fast-food restaurants. To avoid or minimize the occurrence of such waste, waste analysis is needed. Waste analysis performed in this study using the application of FMEA method to determine waste criticality. From the result of the study, waste related to delivery process is becoming the most criticality waste with WPN at 99.16. Keywords: Waste, FMEA, WPN (Waste Priority Number), Fast Food Industry.

Abstract

Performance is the key to measure the quality of service. On the other side an increase in the quality of service is one of the keys to winning the competition.The purpose of this study is measuring the service quality of services at the college using SERVQUAL. SERVQUAL method itself is a method to measure services through five dimensions namely Tangibels, Empathy, Reliability, Responsiveness and Assurance.The results of using SERVQUAL method from 25 variables obtained dimensions that has the biggest gap is Tangibels, Empathy, and Responsiveness. Keywords: Performance, SERVQUAL, Quality Gap

Abstract

Rain or bad weather until recently a major problem for people who have a clothesline. Typically the clothes are dried often left to travel, so do not have time to pick up a clothesline at the time of going to rain atupun was night. to address the problems raised clothesline when it rains and it was night then the need for automated control systems by making automatic clothes line actuator. By designing all the tools from the sensor light dependent resistor (LDR) as a detector of sunlight, water sensor as a detector of rain, the DC motor as a driver, and Arduino Uno as the brain of the maker of the command of the tool, it can be made a clothesline automatically to help work in lifting clothes when it rains.            From the test results the tool that has been designed. The tool works every time the sensor will read the weather around, such as when the sensor does not detect the light that the circumstances surrounding the Arduino will translate as cloudiness / dark, so that the DC motor will draw a clothesline into the house. When the sensor detects sunlight LDR then Arduino will translate around the hot weather, it will come out ortomatis clothesline. Meanwhile, when the water sensor detects raindrops then be translated by Arduino as rainy weather and then the DC motor will draw a clothesline into. From these test results mover based automatic clothes drying apparatus arduino Uno ATmega328 has worked as expected and a solution lifter or a clothesline when rain was night. Keywords: Automatic clothesline, LDR Sensor, Water Sensor, Motor DC

Abstract

The goal of  this research is related to findng the relationship between feeding rate against cutting rising temperature at machining process using analysis of varience.            The result showed that the greater of feeding rate, the higher heat produced in milling proses prom variance analisis at 95% confident level the increase of feeding rate will significant affect cetting temperature both at chips, cotting tools and working materials. Keywords : feeding rate,cetting temperature,maching.

Abstract

This research aims to calculate the cooling load in cold storage of some agricultural products: potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers; to calculate the compressor’s power that is used on the cold storage with three types of multistage compression system: two compressors – three evaporators system (type 1), one compressor – three evaporators system (type 2), and two compressors – one evaporator system (type 3) for each agricultural products; and to analyze the calculated compressor’s power to determine the most efficient refrigeration system.Based on the calculation’s results, it is found that the cooling load of potatoes is 295.438,28 Btu/hour, tomatoes 247.261,38 Btu/hour, peppers 300.281,36 Btu/hour, and the total cooling load of the three agricultural products is 841.981,02 Btu/hour. By using multistage compression system, it is obtained that the compressor’s power of type 1 is 106,15 hp, type 2 108,55 hp, and the type 3 212,03 hp that consists of type 3a is 75,55 hp, type 3b 59,44 hp, and type 3c 77,04 hp. Keywords: cooling load, multistage compression system, compressor’s power

Abstract

Axle Shaft or wheel driver shaft is a component of a vehicle that intended to continue the rotation of the differential to the wheels. The purpose of this research is to get the distribution of life, damage, and safety factor on the axle shaft due to fatigue load using Ansys 14 software, and to know the location at the axle shaft that potentially damaged due to fatigue load.            At first, literature study was undertaken, then did data colecction. After that, developed model of Axle Shaft using SolidWorks 2013. Finally, did fatigue analysis with software Ansys Workbench 2014. Based on the analysis, obtained life time, damage, and safety factor at Axle Shaft. In addition, also did macroscopic observations at surface of a broken Axle Shaft.            Distribution value of life time, safety factor, and damage due to fatigue loads have been obtained. On the other hand, the location at axle shaft that most potentially damaged is about 3.3 cm from the left end. Based on the macroscopic observation, the damaged at Axle Shaft cause by torsion occurring at the shaft. Keyword: Fatigue, Axle Shaft, Simulation

Abstract

This research aim to determine the analyze differences of mechanical properties of coconut peeler material at varying cooling rate. Basic material of coconut peeler in the research is spring steel car.The result of the experiment showed that without cooling treatment, the level is 382,972 N/𝑚𝑚2, for the care of cooling specimen at varying cooling rate, the highest level is 628,986 N/𝑚𝑚2. The largest impact level is about absorb 0,37 J/mm² which absorption energy around obtainable at the lowest cooling rate.Keywords : Coconut Peeler, Mechanical Properties, Conditioning Rate.

Abstract

Anova test is a form of statistical hypothesis testing where we draw conclusions based on data or inferential statistical groups. The null hypothesis of the Anova test is that the data is a simple random of the same population so that it has same mean and variance expectation.               The aim of research is to obtain the optimum bending strength of coco fiber composite for volume fraction of 0 % fiber and 100% resin, 10% fiber and 90% resin, 20% fiber and 80%resin, 30% fiber and 70% resin, 40% fiber and 60% resin, 50% fiber and 50% resin, 60% fiber and 40% resin, 70% fiber and 30% resin with alkali treatment for two hours and without treatment, and find the result of fracture at the specimens.               Based on anova analysis with error percentase 0,05 obtained F count> F crit so that answer hypothesis to fiber treatment affect mechanical properties of bending strength F = 7.752752499 F crit = 2.657197 without treatment. Keywords : Anova Test Methods, Analysis Of Composite Mechanical Properties, CoconutFibers.

Abstract

The crack is one of the frequent problems in engineering field. It effectively cause the component become fail. Therefore predicting crack growth is very important. Prediction was applied, so crack can be prognosed. In order to prevent failure in a component, crack prognostics have applied. The aim of this research is developing of Grey Model as a predictor, and application of developed Grey Model on crack growth prediction. The crack growth data acquired from experimental files were employed for evaluating the proposed method. A modification has made to improve the accuracy of prediction. In addition, error parameter has involved for evaluating the predicting performance.The methodology of this paper consists of five stages. That are theoretical study, simulation of basic grey model, background value modification, simulation of modified grey model, and application of modified grey model.The result shown there are decrease of error values on the prediction. The reduction of error values of three prediction data are 14,07 %, 4,01 %, and 6,93 % respectively. Thus, the development of grey model for crack growth prognostic has successfully made. Keyword: Crack, Prognostics, Grey Model, Prediction Method
