Abstract

AbstractProduction sweet potato in Indonesia is almost 90% used as food with a consumption rate of 6.6 kg / year. Sweet potatoes can reduce blood sugar levels of people with diabetes mellitus. Diabetes Mellitus is one of the non-communicable diseases that has become a world health problem. The purpose of this study was to find out how to make sweet potato powder, be used as a food diversification solution, and reduce diabetes mellitus. This research method is to use experimental methods. The results of this study are purple sweet potatoes can be used as flour to help reduce sugar levels in diabetics militus, and food diversification solutions such as being a mixture in making pudding, biscuits, noodles, ice cream and others. Abstract

AbstractThis research was instigated with inadequate laboratory facilities and no green chemistry based practical work guideline at school. This research aimed at finding out validity and practicality levels of green chemistry based practical work guideline on electrochemistry lesson that was designed. Design & development research (DDR) method was used in this research consisted of 4 steps—analysis, design, development, and evaluation. This research was conducted to the twelfth-grade students of MIPA at State Senior High School 1 Kampar. The research findings showed that the percentages of green chemistry based practical work guideline by media and material experts continuously were 95% and 96.43% with very valid criteria. The practicality percentages by chemistry subject teachers and student response continuously were 91.96% and 83% with very practical criteria. Based on these data, it could be concluded that green chemistry based practical work guideline was very valid and very practical to be used as a teaching material on electrochemistry lesson.Keywords : DDR, Practical Work Guideline, Green Chemistry, Electrochemistry

Abstract

AbstractThe 21st century is an open century that contains various challenges and opportunities that require the birth of qualified, superior and competitive individuals for the life of the nation's people. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of rank one in the independent curriculum in the science subjects of grade X students of SMK Abdurrab Pekanbaru. The method in this study is descriptive research.  This research was conducted at SMK Abdurrab Pekanbaru, the population in this study was grade X students of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology (TLM) and the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology (TF). The result of this study is that the use of rank one in learning has the advantage of allowing students to actively participate in learning, and can make students have a sense of pleasure and motivation to learn more diligently, so that it will affect their learning outcomes.Keywords: Rank One, Merdeka Curriculum, and IPAS

Abstract

AbstractThis research was instigated by Senior High School students who were not interested in Chemistry subject, so the efforts to increase student interest were needed, one of which was by using Android based interactive learning media. This research aimed at finding out the effect of using Android based interactive learning medium toward student learning interest on Oxidation Reduction Reactions lesson at Sport State Senior High School Riau Province. The use of Android based interactive learning medium was expected able to improve chemistry learning more interesting and effective. Quantitative approach was used in this research with quasi-experiment method and pretest-posttest design. Total sampling technique was used in this research, the tenth-grade students of Natural Science 2 were as the experiment group, and the students of Natural Science 1 were as the control group. The data of student learning interest were obtained by using questionnaire instrument and analyzed by using t-test and determination coefficient to find out the effect on student learning interest in the significance score. Based on the results obtained, the score of tobserved was 6.061, sig 2-tailed was 0.000, and ttable was 2.018. If the significance score 0.000 was lower than 0.05 and the score of tobserved was higher than ttable, it could be concluded that Null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and Ha was accepted. It meant that there was a significant effect of using Android based interactive learning medium toward student learning interest with the effect coefficient 16.4%. Keywords : Android Based Interactive Learning Media, Learning Interest, Oxidation Reduction Reactions

Abstract

AbstractThis research was instigated by the teacher difficulty at school in implementing the appropriate learning method in online learning process. This research aimed at designing SSCS (Search, Solve, Create, and Share) based student electronic worksheet on Hydrocarbon lesson, and finding out validity and practicality SSCS based student electronic worksheet as a teaching material on Hydrocarbon lesson. This study uses the Borg and Gall development model, which only takes 5 out of 10 stages, namely data collection, planning, product development, initial trials and initial product revisions. Preliminary testing was conducted at State Senior High School 5 Tapung by a Chemistry subject teacher and 10 of the eleventh-grade students of MIA. The data obtained were analyzed by using quantitative descriptive analysis technique.   The data analysis result of validity test showed that the percentages were 97.14% by media experts with very valid category and 92.5% by material experts with very valid category. In practicality test by teachers, the percentage was 95.71% with very practical category, and the percentage of student response test was 54% with practical enough category. However, this research still has some shortcomings so it is expected that in the future an effectiveness test will be carried out to determine the effectiveness of the media. Abstract

AbstractThe low of student learning achievement was one of obstacles in the learning process.  This research aimed at finding out the effect of Think Talk and Write learning model toward student learning achievement on Global Warming lesson at the tenth grade of State Senior High School 3 Pekanbaru.  Experiment method was used in this research.  It was quasi-experiment with pretest and posttest non-equivalent control group design.  All the tenth-grade students (8 classes) were the population of this research, and the samples were the tenth-grade students of class KM6 as the control group and students of class KM3 as the experiment group.  Random sampling technique was used in this research.  Multiple choice test was the technique of collecting data, and processing the data was done by using t-test and determination coefficient.  In t-test, the result of sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 was lower than 0.05, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.  In determination test, the score of r2 was 0.030, so it could be concluded that Think Talk and Write learning model affected student learning achievement on global warming lesson 3%. Keywords : Effect, Think Talk and Write, Learning Achievement, Global Warming

Abstract

Contemporary chemistry education aims to help students connect abstract concepts to real-world contexts. However, research indicates that many students continue to struggle to understand scientific literacy and its significance. The Socioscientific Issues (SSI) approach is implemented as a pedagogical strategy to bridge the gap between societal concerns and scientific content in educational settings. This study examines the impact of the SSI approach on high school students’ chemistry learning outcomes. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted in accordance with PRISMA guidelines, utilising Google Scholar to identify relevant literature published between 2020 and 2025. From an initial pool of 200 publications, 14 articles were selected for in-depth analysis. The results demonstrate that the SSI approach is highly effective in enhancing students’ learning abilities. The majority of research emphasises Critical Thinking (43%). Scientific Literacy (36%), whereas Argumentation (14%) and Creative Thinking (7%) receive comparatively less attention. Green Chemistry emerges as the predominant topic, accounting for 65% of the studies. At the same time, subjects such as Acid-Base and Rate of Reaction are underrepresented. The SSI approach contributes to the development of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), motivation, and scientific understanding. To further cultivate these competencies, it is recommended that SSI be integrated into a broader range of chemistry topics, with increased emphasis on creative thinking and advanced argumentation..

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat belajar siswa di MAN 4 Kampar, khususnya pada materi ikatan kimia. Rendahnya minat belajar tersebut disebabkan oleh kesulitan siswa dalam memvisualisasikan konsep ikatan kimia yang bersifat abstrak, sehingga mengurangi minat siswa dalam mempelajari materi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media weblog terintegrasi nilai-nilai Islam terhadap minat belajar siswa pada materi ikatan kimia di MAN 4 Kampar. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025 dengan melibatkan kelas XC sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XD sebagai kelas kontrol, menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen dengan model Pretest–Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dengan rata-rata nilai posttest masing-masing sebesar 86 dan 82 serta nilai signifikansi p < 0,05. Koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,229 menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media weblog terintegrasi nilai-nilai Islam memberikan pengaruh sebesar 22,9% terhadap peningkatan minat belajar siswa pada materi ikatan kimia.Kata Kunci : Pengaruh, Media Weblog , Nilai-nilai Islam, Minat Belajar, Ikatan Kimia.

Abstract

Materi ikatan kimia merupakan salah satu materi kimia yang bersifat abstrak dan kompleks sehingga sering menimbulkan kesulitan belajar pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan keterampilan proses sains dengan penguasaan konsep peserta didik melalui pembelajaran berbasis praktikum pada materi ikatan kimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 21 peserta didik kelas XI. Data keterampilan proses sains diperoleh melalui lembar observasi selama kegiatan praktikum, sedangkan data penguasaan konsep diperoleh melalui tes two-tier berbentuk pilihan ganda. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment setelah dilakukan uji normalitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep peserta didik berada pada kategori tinggi. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan nilai koefisien sebesar r = 0,365 dengan p = 0,104 (p > 0,05), sehingga tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep. Meskipun demikian, arah hubungan bersifat positif dengan kategori rendah. Penelitian lanjutan dengan jumlah sampel yang lebih besar diperlukan untuk memperoleh hasil yang lebih stabil. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis kesulitan belajar siswa kelas XI MIA pada materi larutan buffer dan mengetahui persentase siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar pada materi larutan buffer dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik four-tier multiple choice. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIA MAN 4 Pekanbaru sebanyak 30 siswa yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar instrumen tes diagnostik four-tier multiple choice dan lembar wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa persentase rata-rata siswa yang paham konsep 34.1%, tidak paham konsep 18.9%, msikonsepsi 40.8% dan error 6.2%. berdasarkan penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa indikator yang paling sulit dipahami adalah indikator menerapkan perhitungan dalam membuat larutan buffer 74.9% dan menghitung pH larutan buffer basa 72.1%. maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa kelas XI MIA MAN 4 Pekanbaru mengalami kesulitan belajar pada materi larutan buffer
