Abstract

This article examines the application of the Project Based Learning (PBL) method in developing the creativity of students learning PAI at SDN Baratajaya Surabaya. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The results showed that the application of the Project Based Learning Method can Develop the Creativity of Students studying PAI at SDN Baratajaya Surabaya is very good and appropriate because learning PAI using the Project Based Learning method is very interesting for students and developing their creativity is not boring in learning PAI which makes it easier for them to discuss and make works together with their group mates in a flexible time and then present them in front of the class, in addition to increasing their knowledge of PAI students can also develop their creativity, and the works they work on are exhibited at school report cards. The supporting and inhibiting factors in the application of the Project Based Learning (PBL) method are internal factors, including school principals, teachers, students and parents. External factors, including the surrounding community and the school environment. The school facilities and infrastructure/facilities are adequate, good enough to support students who are diligent in studying PAI, disciplined, responsible in doing their assignments well.

Abstract

This research discusses the culture of clean and healthy living in Tsanawiyah madrasahs, in order to shape students to have a religious character. This research method is descriptive qualitative, the data collection techniques used are interviews, documentation and observation. The results of this research make students implement a clean and healthy culture. by teaching noble values of personality that are cultivated in order to achieve optimal results, in accordance with Islamic teachings, namely the values of Islamic education through cleanliness and education that applies the principles of the free curriculum so that it becomes a culture of behavior in the life of a pluralistic society through cultural policies with guidance religious values, also by emphasizing acceptance of reality for religious, pluralistic and multicultural followers so that they can be applied in the life of a pluralistic society.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the efforts made by Islamic boarding schools to shape the disciplined character of students at the Al-Ma'ruf Islamic Boarding School, Kediri. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and document study. Interviews were conducted with caregivers, teacher council, boarding school administrators, alumni and santri. With this interview the researcher obtained the data and information needed. Data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the discipline of Al-Ma'ruf students has been going well in terms of the activities that all students participate in and the time allocation for all activities as well as responsibility for the mandate given. This is proven by the researcher's analysis of the participation of students who arrived on time when participating in activities and carrying out the tasks they were carrying out. It is hoped that the data from this research can provide inspiration to Islamic boarding schools to maintain and improve the discipline of students because the key to success is discipline and trust.

Abstract

The existing teaching and learning process determines success in achieving educational goals, as well as in Islamic education. The process of such change is influenced by two factors, among them internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include physiological aspects and psychological aspects and external factors, one of which is the learning model. One of the good learning models that can be applied to the teaching and learning process is the advanced organizer learning model. This study aims to explore the specifics of the advanced organizer learning model that can also be used in learning Islamic education. This research is literature research, which is analyzed using the method of description, interpretation, and data analysis. The discussion in this study includes the understanding of the advanced organizer learning model, its forms and objectives, steps, and advantages and disadvantages. The results showed that this model is a learning model that emphasizes the importance of strengthening students' initial knowledge as a preparation effort to receive new material. There are two forms, namely: Expository Advance Organizer and Comparative Advance Organizer. The model has four objectives, and three Step phases. This model also has some advantages as well as disadvantages.

Abstract

Islamic moderation is the justice universal value, equality, virtue and balance belonging to the Islamic religion has a strong historical basic in tradition and friends. In Indonesian context, social heterogeneity is needed to be explained as a state asset, not to be a cause of division. Referring to the matters attached above, this study is reviewed crucially to propose policies regarding education that emphasize moderate religious values. Indonesia's education policy is oriented towards brotherhood, preventing problems, and guaranteeing a safe life, this education not become a top priority. The author believes that the heterogeneous Indonesian society really needs the idea of ​​religious moderation education. This research adopts a qualitative research method, and expected to be carried out through descriptive and qualitative methods. Results and discussion value of religious moderation, among others. 1. Moderate. 2, Tolerance. 3, Balance. The implementation of the value of religious moderation is carried out through moral knowledge, feelings, actions. Implications of it’s : smiling at others, greeting, shaking hands with others, being polite, respecting elders, and loving younger ones. In behavior: respect for parents, friends, and society. The formation of social attitudes with community members, such as cleaning the village, mutual cooperation, and empathy for students when there is takziah. This shows that the implementation of character education creates good social character in students' behavior.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the comparison or difference between philosophy of science and philosophy of science and its implications for the development of education today. The method used in this research is library research. This research data collection used primary and secondary data sources. In analyzing the data, the author uses analytical descriptive data analysis techniques. Namely, data related to the theme being researched is collected and classified, then described and finally concluded. The result of this research is that philosophy can stand in the middle of the branches of science as a controller and director for its implementation. The following are several philosophical schools that have greatly contributed to the development of education today, namely progressivism (the implications are linked to the curriculum, so the curriculum must be open, adapted to local needs and centered on experience); essentialism (the implication is that the learning process needs to pay attention to the psychology and skills of students), and reconstructionism (the implication is that schools must direct change (the reconstruction of the current social order. As technology progresses over time, education must keep pace with this progress)
