Saba: Journal Tourism Research, is dedicated to disseminating scholarly publications on tourism. This journal was formerly known as Tourism and Hospitality Essentials Journal, established in 2011. Saba extends an invitation to scholars, professionals, and other stakeholders in the field of tourism to share their research findings, case studies, and practical experiences pertaining to several disciplines within the realm of tourism. The journal encompasses a wide range of topics, including but not limited to tourism philosophy, tourism management, tourism marketing, tourist behaviour, culture, research methodology in tourism, technology and tourism, hospitality, the travel industry, events and festivals, tourism planning, entrepreneurship, education, contemporary tourism studies, and future tourism. This scholarly journal seeks high-quality papers and invites submissions of original scientific research, conceptual research, critical research notes, and case studies.

Abstract

Analisis Sentiment Emotional dapat membantu untuk mengidentifikasi keluhan terkait kualitas layanan, nilai yang dirasakan dan kualitas pengalaman. Salah satu strategi yang dilakukan untuk merekonstruksi citra hotel dimasa krisis/pandemic ini dengan analisis sentiment emotional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis terkait dengan ulasan tamu yang menginap di hotel dimasa krisis. Penelitan ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis konten dengan menganalisis 80 ulasan tekstual dan 20 ulasan visual di situs web TripAdvisor. Penelitian ini melampirkan implementasi dari sentiment emotional dalam konteks industri perhotelan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis studi yang dilakukan dalam rangka memberikangambaran yang komprehensif tentang Sustainable tourism Development di destinasi rural tourism. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode systematic literature review menggunakan analisis 28 artikel. Penulis melakukan pencarian literatur artikel penelitian yang diterbitkan dalam rentang tahun 2017 hingga 2022 dari empat database elekronik yang disesuaikan dengan strategi pencarian dan kriteria seleksi yang telah ditentukan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan minat penelitian dalam topik ini selalu ada dan terbit pada jurnal bereputasi yang membahas keberlanjutan dengan dominasi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan case study. Adapun hasil dari implementasi Sustainable tourism Development dalam konteks destinasi rural tourism turut serta melengkapi penelitian ini.

Abstract

Kampung Wisata Bisnis Tegalwaru merupakan desa wisata yang menawarkan wisata edukasi bisnis sebagai produk wisatanya. Kampung Wisata bisnis Tegalwaru sebagai satu-satunya desa wisata dengan konsep wisata edukasi bisnis di seluruh Indonesia dapat dibuktikan dengan statusnya sebagai desa mandiri dan desa percontohan yang model konsep pemberdayaan desanya digunakan oleh pemerintah untuk mengembangkan desa lain yang memiliki potensi untuk diberdayakan.

Abstract

Customer retention sangat penting untuk kelangsungan hidup hotel. Dalam industri perhotelan, customer retention merupakan salah satu kunci kesuksesan jangka panjang karena memberikan manfaat yang besar seperti keuntungan, pengurangan biaya pemasaran, dan meningkatkan word of mouth. Customer retention didefinisikan sebagai cara perusahaan mempertahankan pelanggannya dan merubah pelanggan baru menjadi pelanggan tetap dan menjaga hubungan baik dengan mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konteks penelitian industri perhotelan yang banyak diteliti terkait customer retention dan faktor yang mempengaruhi customer retention di industri perhotelan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode systematic literature review melalui identifikasi 16 artikel. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini peneliti mencari dari lima database (Science Direct, Sage, Scopus, Taylor and Francis, dan Springer). Penelitian ini mengungkapkan konteks penelitian di industri perhotelan yang dikaitkan dengan customer retention dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi customer retention di industri perhotelan.

Abstract

Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif RI secara masif melakukan pengembangan desa wisata di seluruh Indonesia untuk memberikan penghidupan yang berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat desa. Pengembangan desa wisata ini juga ditujukan untuk memulihkan perekonomian masyarakat akibat pandemic COVID-19. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menganalisis pengembangan desa wisata melalui strategi penghidupan yang berkelanjutan (sustainable livelihood approach). Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah, sebagai berikut 1) mengidentifikasi kerentanan pemanfaatan sumber daya dalam mengantisipasi kerentanan yang dihadapi masyarakat; 2) menganalisis strategi yang dilakukan; dan 3) mendeteksi hasil pengembangan desa wisata melalui pendekatan penghidupan yang berkelanjutan. Desa Randugede di Kabupaten Magetan, Jawa Timur, menjadi lokus dalam penelitian ini. Studi dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melalui kegiatan wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis tematik dilakukan dalam kajian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya kerantanan, pengelolaan sumber daya, strategi, dan hasil yang didapatkan dari pengembangan desa wisata. Konteks kerentanan utama yang dihadapi desa, meliputi bencana alam dan COVID-19. Kedua faktor kerentanan mempengaruhi kondisi perekonomian dan kehidupan sosial masyarakat. Sumber daya yang dimanfaatkan untuk pengembangan desa, meliputi SDM,sumber daya fisik, keuangan, dan social. Sumber daya atau modal alam, fisik, dan sosial menjadi modal utama yang digunakan masyarakat untuk mengembangkan wisata desa. Adapun, modal manusia dan keuangan masih perlu ditingkatkan

Abstract

Indigenous tourism is a term that is not commonly heard and applied by most tourism actors in the region to develop regional potential. The level of kinship and Islamic faith-based customs that are still firmly held amid the development of globalization make Tidore Islands City unique to develop tourism in the region. The purpose of this study is to examine 1) the potential development of tourism products in Tidore Kepualauan, 2) assess the impact of tourism activities from a socio-cultural, economic and environmental point of view. Data were collected by two means of qualitative research methods. Data were obtained from interviews and literature studies. The results of the study are known that Tidore Islands City has potential varieties that can be made into a tourist product, such as cultural tourism products, local people and nature are the main points that can attract domestic tourists. The impact of tourism activities on socio-cultural and environmental, economic and environmental is significantly changing.

Abstract

The development of the era that has shifted to the modern era has caused a phenomenon of change and a shift in the order of life patterns in Balinese society, especially in the field of implementation of the current wedding procession. This study aims to find out the procedures for traditional Balinese weddings and the shift in the tradition of meyama braya in Balinese traditional weddings at the Taman Prakerti Bhuana wedding organizer. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method using Taman Prakerti Bhuana as a research subject. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that Balinese weddings that use the services of wedding organizers are still held in two places, namely at home with processions of memadik, nunas tirta, and mepejati while those which are carried out in Prakerti Bhuana Park are mekalan-kalan/natab banten beten and mewidhi-widana/ natab banten beduur. All procedures are still carried out in accordance with the village of Kala Patra (traditional village rules), it's just that there has been a shift in the application of the Menyama braya tradition to several core wedding processions because it has been prepared and arranged by the wedding organizer Taman Prakerti Bhuana. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the Balinese traditional wedding ceremony cannot be fully carried out by the wedding organizer, but some of the processes still involve the same role. The unification of tradition with modernization is currently developing to save more costs, time and energy but does not eliminate Balinese cultural and traditional values.

Abstract

The hotel business, which deals with accommodation, is the same as other industries. It has been growing and there are more and more hotel buildings in every place, both in big cities and small towns. Hospitality companies are competing with each other for market share, which demands better service quality. If the hospitality industry is able to create customer satisfaction, it will create a good relationship between the company and its customers. This provides a good basis for repeat purchases and the creation of customer loyalty. Customer loyalty or consumer loyalty is a measure of consumer loyalty to the use of a brand. Companies need to prioritize strategies by trying to create customer loyalty.This study aims to determine the effect of service quality and customer delight on customer loyalty at Bidakara Savoy Homan Hotel Bandung. The research method used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. While this research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents. The sampling chosen is purposive random sampling, the data collected is then managed and analyzed using statistical tests. And the results of the analysis of service quality and customer delight, the t-count value is 2.149 and the t-table is 1.98, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and H2 is accepted and the sig value is 2.149 1.98 with a significance result of 0.035 0.050, which means that there is a significant influence between customer delight on customer loyalty, the F-count value is 12. 967 and F-table 3.09, this means that the F-count value is greater than the F-table value (12.967 3.09), with significant results (0.037 0.050), so it can be concluded that accepting H3 rejects Ho, which means that Service Quality and Customer Delight together have an effect on Customer Loyalty.

Abstract

A service in the field of hospitality and tourism depends largely on the level of visits of customers who have different needs, desires, and characteristics. In taking an action, behavioral intention becomes a direct determinant of consumer behavior that connects consumers with themselves with actions that will be carried out in accordance with consumer wishes and expectations that they will show in the future. Behavioral intention is closely related to customer satisfaction because the satisfaction felt by consumers will have an impact on attitudes towards products or services and consumer purchases in the future. There have been many empirical studies that state that behavioral intention and customer satisfaction can show the superior power of the company. Based on the above, conducting research on behavioral intention will greatly help the company in maintaining excellence and maintaining the company's existence. The purpose of this study is to obtain an overview and influence of the e-servicesape on behavioral intention with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable in active users of Pegipegi mobile application in Indonesia. The research method used is a quantitative method with descriptive and verifiative research types. The study was conducted by setting a sample of 384 application users through questionnaires as data collection. The study used SEM (Structural Equation Model) analysis techniques with AMOS 20.0 software and SPSS for windows version 25.0. Tests that have been conducted suggest that e-servicescape has a significant influence simultaneously on behavioral intention with customer satisfaction as a mediation variable.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of tourist perceived risk on behavioral intention by conducting a survey among tourists at Palayangan Adventure River Rafting in Pangalengan, Bandung Regency, during the New Normal era. The survey was conducted in 2021 (January - October) with the participation of 109 tourists. Convenience sampling was employed as the sampling technique, and multiple regression was used for data analysis. The research findings indicate that respondents provided positive and high assessments of perceived risk, consisting of dimensions such as functional risk, physical risk, psychological risk, social risk, and financial risk. Among these dimensions, physical risk received the highest rating, demonstrating that Palayangan Adventure River Rafting places a strong emphasis on the safety of tourists. However, the functional risk dimension received the lowest rating, indicating the need for improvements in promotional efforts. Furthermore, respondents' reactions regarding behavioral intention, such as positive word of mouth, recommendations to visit, and the intention to revisit, indicate that tourists tend to recommend Palayangan Adventure River Rafting due to the products and services offered meeting the tourists' needs.
