Abstract

This research aims to understand the role of leadership in enhancing managerial accountability at IAI Nasional Laa Roiba Bogor, West Java. Accountability is crucial in ensuring the quality of higher education and involves various aspects such as management, leadership, transparency, efficiency, effectiveness, and participation. Private Islamic higher education institutions face complex challenges, including in infrastructure, financing, academic processes, and the quality of graduates. To achieve this aim, a qualitative approach was employed by involving leaders, faculty, and staff as primary informants. Data collection techniques were carried out through triangulation (combining various sources), and the analysis was inductive. The research results emphasize meaning rather than generalization. The findings indicate that managerial accountability at IAI Nasional Laa Roiba Bogor, West Java is evident in transparency in university management. This is observed through open financial reports, websites, open meetings, and achievement publications. Efficiency and effectiveness in managing educational costs are measured through budget planning, operational cost control, and academic program evaluation.

Abstract

The radicalism movement has become the main cause of the growth of terrorism cases in Indonesia. This movement has successfully spread to various educational institutions, one of which is pesantren (Islamic boarding schools). The entry of radicalism into pesantren is inseparable from the lack of internalization of religious moderation attitudes by pesantren leaders towards their students. The Kiai, through a prophetic leadership model, have a major role in internalizing religious moderation in their students through their influence in pesantren. This research aims to find the concept of prophetic leadership, prophetic leadership strategies in internalizing religious moderation, and the implications of prophetic leadership. This research uses a qualitative approach with a multisite study type. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data condensation, data display, and making conclusions. The research results conclude that the concept of prophetic leadership is carried out through education, religious learning, and istiqamah (steadfastness) in worship. The strategy of internalizing religious moderation is carried out by exemplification, habituation, and understanding. The implications of prophetic leadership include strengthening the religious moderation of students, strengthening moderation education, and forming student morals.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the promotional management activities related to (1) Planning, (2) Organizing, (3) Implementing, and (4) Supervising carried out at MTs Al Kautsar Yogyakarta. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study methodology. The subjects of the research include the foundation, school principals, teachers, and students. Data collection was conducted through interviews and documentation, while data validity was ensured using triangulation. The data analysis involved three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of this research are as follows: 1) Planning: School promotion planning begins with an analysis conducted by the KS to determine the goals and budget, which are then submitted to the foundation. The final meeting, attended by the foundation, school principals, and senior teachers, involves determining promotional strategies, media, and techniques. The school targets are then implemented by senior teachers. A reduction in funds occurred because the school did not have a sponsor. The outcomes of the promotional meeting were documented in minutes. 2) Organizing. The foundation initiates the organizing process by selecting teams based on seniority. Information about activities is conveyed verbally, and there is no official decree regarding the structure or duties of each member. 3) Implementing: Door-to-door promotional activities are conducted directly at schools and other locations by distributing brochures. 4) Supervising: The foundation supervises the entire process, starting with planning by making decisions on goals and budgets, organizing by selecting a core team, and implementing by monitoring promotional activities.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the leadership style of school principals in improving human resources, especially teacher performance, at SMA Negeri 1 Pacet Mojokerto. The school principal's leadership plays an important role in determining the success and quality of education in schools. An effective leadership style can increase motivation, teacher performance and student participation in the learning process. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and a case study type. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that the leadership style applied by the school principal is democratic and participative. The principal considers teachers partners, builds teamwork, provides creative freedom, and accepts suggestions and criticism from subordinates. Efforts to improve human resources include providing opportunities to take part in training, upgrading educational seminars, coaching, and training in making lesson plans and syllabi, and implementing the independent curriculum. Obstacles include the lack of training programs outside of office hours and a lack of discipline for some teachers. However, adequate infrastructure and fairly frequent training are supporting factors. This research contributes to the development of educational management science, especially in principal leadership and improving human resources in schools. The research results can be a basis for formulating effective strategies and approaches to improve the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of teamwork and self-efficacy on teacher performance. In the ever-evolving field of education, the role of teachers is crucial for achieving effective learning outcomes. However, many factors can affect their performance, including teamwork and self-confidence. This research employs a quantitative survey method using questionnaires distributed to several teachers in various schools. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis techniques to evaluate the relationship between teamwork, self-efficacy, and teacher performance. The results of the analysis indicate that both independent variables, teamwork and self-efficacy, have a significant impact on teacher performance. However, partially, self-efficacy does not have a positive effect on teacher performance. These findings suggest that teachers who are confident in their abilities and can work effectively in teams tend to achieve better performance in meeting learning objectives and interacting with students. This study provides important insights into the factors influencing teacher performance and its practical implications in the educational context. The results can serve as a guide for developing strategies to enhance teamwork and self-efficacy among teachers, thereby improving the quality of education in schools.

Abstract

The research objective is to analyze risk management in business success, building organizational resilience amidst global uncertainty from the perspective of the Prophet's hadith. The method used is a combination of qualitative methods and literature research based on previous studies on the role of risk management. The results of this research show that risk management helps organizations understand their conditions, readiness, and capabilities in implementing organizational programs. Risk management is crucial and must be implemented because,, through formal, structured, and integrated risk management, an organization can adapt to its environment and provide appropriate policies to achieve program objectives. The management process has been exemplified in the Quran and applied directly by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). While the Quran and the Prophet's hadith do not detail management practices explicitly, they provide principles that can be interpreted and applied. Management concepts such as planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring, as well as leadership skills and competencies, are embedded within Islamic teachings found in the Quran and Hadith.
