Abstract

Communication is needed in every company activity as a means that can encourage employees to improve performance. Apart from communication, the lack of positive Human Resources (HR) initiatives within the company can result in alienation among employees. It is important for organizations to combine communication and the effectiveness of HR practices into one coherent form in facing challenges and improving employee work performance. Individual Work Performance (IWP) in a company is an important aspect for leaders in the process of achieving company goals. Individual Work Performance (IWP) measurements need to be carried out periodically to find out whether the business is achieving company goals and as a benchmark for making improvements to achieve the set goals. This research aims to analyze the influence of employee communication and the perceived effectiveness of HR initiatives on Individual Work Performance (IWP), which consists of three main elements, namely task performance, contextual performance and counterproductive work behavior. The method in this research is quantitative research using a questionnaire totaling 100 respondents with data processing using SmartPLS. The subjects in this research were employees of the Gunungkidul Regency Education, Youth and Sports Office. The results of the analysis in this study show that employee communication is proven to influence all elements of Individual Work Performance, namely task performance, contextual performance and counterproductive work behavior, whereas the perceived effectiveness of HR initiatives is proven to only influence one element of Individual Work Performance, namely contextual performance.

Abstract

Aceh Province, which is a Special Autonomous Region based on Islamic Sharia, based on 2021 data shows that the implementation of the Teaching Factory has not yet occurred completely in all vocational schools in Aceh. This is a strong indication that the main factor has not yet seen the outcomes expected by the community. Seeing the gap in the quality of Teaching Factory implementation among vocational schools in Aceh, it is necessary to conduct a study regarding the integration of Islamic education through the Teaching Factory model as an effort to develop learning attitude and work ethic of students in vocational schools in Aceh. The research design used is a sequential explanatory design or combination model research. The total sample for quantitative data was 228 respondents using the Structural equation Modeling analysis method. Meanwhile, for qualitative data, the sample size was 509 respondents. Quantitative data analysis uses the Structural equation Modeling analysis method, while qualitative data describes the results descriptively by linking them to existing facts and supporting theories from the results of data integration from the implementation of the Teaching Factory and Islamic Education. The research results show that teaching and learning activities in vocational schools are not just coincidental or incidental, but are part of a planned effort to integrate Islamic education into the learning system and daily life through Teaching Factory learning. This integration has a positive and holistic impact on students' personalities, skills, attitude, and values, with a focus on success in the world of business run according to Islamic principles.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of students in marketing education at the Irsyadul 'Ibad Islamic Boarding School, Jambi. With the number of new students increasing from 118 in 2021/2022 to 216 in 2023/2024, this study explores how students contribute to attracting public interest in registering their children. Qualitative methods were used to understand the meaning and context of the role of students through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study show that students are active in various religious, social, sports, and arts activities, which serve as effective promotions for the Islamic boarding school. Their involvement in activities such as Yasinan, teaching at the madrasah, and village events improves the image of the Islamic boarding school and attracts public attention. However, there are also negative impacts, such as the risk of a bad image of the Islamic boarding school if marketing is not managed properly. The Irsyadul 'Ibad Islamic Boarding School has implemented a marketing strategy that involves students, including the formation of a creative team and the use of social media. Evaluations are carried out every semester to adjust the strategy to existing developments. This study emphasizes the importance of managing the role of students wisely to maximize marketing potential while minimizing possible risks.
