Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of infrastructure development and convergence on economic growth in North Sumatra Province which is divided into four regions, namely the east coast, west coast, highlands, and islands. The analysis uses the multiple panel data regression method with time series data for 2018-2022. The regression results show that the Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF) variable has a positive and significant impact in the East Coast and highland regions, while in the West Coast and island regions it has a negative but significant impact. Average Years of Schooling (RLS) has a positive and significant impact in most areas, except in island areas where it is not significant. Electrical infrastructure has a positive and significant impact in all regions, road infrastructure has a positive and significant impact in the west coast and highland areas, and for the east coast and island regions, the impact is positive but not significant. Meanwhile, the impact of clean water infrastructure varies. σ-convergence was found only in the east coast region, while β-convergence was detected in all regions with different levels of convergence, but lagging districts/cities took a very long time to catch up with the growth of developing districts/cities with a half-life of 47 years in the east coast region. 82 years on the west coast, 19 years on the highland areas, and 29 years on the island areas.

Abstract

This article describes the intelligence strategy for identifying drug trafficking networks in the community and the factors that influence the success of conditioning suspected drug offenders in the fight against drugs. This research is based on Article 3 in the State Intelligence Law (UUIN) Number: 17/2011 on the conditioning function. Narcotics crime is a victimless crime because the perpetrator of the crime is also the victim of the crime itself. The problem examined in this study is how the intelligence strategy in identifying drug abuse in the community using Structure Network Analytics and what factors affect the success of conditioning suspected drug crimes. The purpose of this study is to explain the function of conditioning intelligence to conduct Reverse Operations against efforts to eradicate narcotics crimes. This research is expected to be an input and reference in the development of intelligence discipline studies that have similar discussions and can be a reference for state administrators who form laws and involve civil society components that have intersections with intelligence with all its activities to achieve national stability to strengthen the concept of National Resilience.

Abstract

Today's technological advancements in the financial sector have given rise to several new ideas; among them, online loans are fintech-based. Online lending is a public financial solution that facilitates the provision of cheap, transparent, and efficient financial services. The purpose of this study is to examine the many elements that have an impact on the willingness of Muslim students in Soloraya who use online loan applications. The research method used is the quantitative method. Primary data was used in this study. The questionnaire was given to 96 respondents who were selected using purposive sampling using Lemeshow's algorithm. With data analysis using SPSS V.26 statistical assistance. The results of this study indicate that the variables of security, hedonic motivation, and loan disbursement speed have a significant effect, while the ease of use variable has no significant effect on the attractiveness of Muslim students in using online loan applications in Soloraya. Therefore, to decide to use online loan application services, fundamental factors are needed. However, ease of use is not fully a fundamental factor in attracting Muslim students to use online loan application services in Soloraya.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the level of emotional quotient (EQ) and its impact on the performance of employees in the Student Sports Education and Training Technical Implementation Unit for Students and Students of Bogor District. The research method employed surveys and data analysis using SPSS. The results indicate that EQ significantly influences the performance of employees in the unit, accounting for 63.8%, while other factors contribute to the remainder. Further analysis using SPSS reveals that emotional intelligence factors, such as emotional stability, emotional strength, and emotional satisfaction, have significant values ​​confirming their impact on performance. These findings provide valuable insights for human resource management in understanding the importance of EQ in enhancing the productivity and quality of employee performance within the organizational environment.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of Electronic Word-of-Mouth (E-WOM), website quality, and consumer trust on purchasing decisions on the Shopee e-commerce platform in Surakarta. Data was collected through a survey distributed to Shopee e-commerce users in Surakarta. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression methods to test the relationship between independent variables (E-WOM, website quality, and consumer trust) and the dependent variable (purchasing decisions). The research results show that E-WOM, website quality, and consumer trust have a significant positive influence on the purchasing decisions of Shopee e-commerce users in Surakarta. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance for e-commerce companies to pay attention to and improve service quality, strengthen consumer trust, and build a positive reputation in the context of E-WOM to improve purchasing decisions. These findings also provide valuable insights for marketing practitioners in designing effective and relevant marketing strategies to expand market share and increase customer satisfaction in today's digital era.

Abstract

This research was focused on how IT Consulting Companies can survive during the VUCA era (within scope 2020-2023). This research revealed the challenges during the VUCA Era and strategies to tackle the challenges. This research was conducted using grounded theory analysis, interviewing process, and gap analysis with the current theories. All methods are compiled together as a qualitative research approach. In this research, purposeful sampling was used to choose relevant respondents with minimum classification as a director level in an IT Consulting Company who knew about the company strategy and business environment during the in-scoped period. The coding process was done twice, the first coding process to map the challenges in the VUCA era and the second one to find out the strategy for VUCA challenges in the first coding results. The coding process gathered 23 codes for challenges in VUCA which were categorized into 9 categories and then became 5 themes. The result concludes that the top challenge in the VUCA era is customer engagement. The second coding process found the 23 strategies from all interviews and categorized them into 5 categories and then 4 themes. It concludes that the top priority strategy to survive during VUCA is a customer-driven approach strategy with many variations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of bank health level using the RGEC method on firm value and to determine the ability of company size to moderate the effect of bank health on firm value in conventional banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2022. This type of research is descriptive and quantitative with data analysis techniques using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) through SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science) software. Sampling used a purposive sampling method and resulted in a sample size of 25 banks from 43 populations. The results showed that partially earning projected with ROA was able to influence the value of the company. Other research results show that company size can moderate the influence of earnings on firm value, which means that company size can strengthen the relationship between bank health and the value of conventional banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2022 period. Not only that, bank health projected by NPL, GCG, and CAR shows the results there is no influence on firm value. Likewise, company size is unable to moderate the effect of NPL, GCG, and CAR on firm value.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of promotional components and influencers’ credibility on the purchase intention of Shopee users among Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta students, with moderation from brand image. Influencer promotion and credibility are in focus due to their important role in influencing consumer behavior in the online environment. Apart from that, this research also aims to explore other possible variables that can influence purchase intentions, such as the influence of price and level of loyalty to e-commerce platforms. The method used was a survey using a questionnaire distributed to 150 Shopee user respondents, who were students at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The research results show that the promotion component and influencer credibility have a significant influence on Shopee users' purchasing intentions, which are moderated by perceived brand image. These findings emphasize the importance of effective promotional strategies and trust in influencers in forming positive perceptions of brands, which in turn influence consumer purchase intentions. However, these findings also underscore the importance of additional factors such as price and loyalty to e-commerce platforms in understanding online shopping behavior. Thus, this research implies the importance of further research on a broader scale to confirm and expand the findings revealed in this research.

Abstract

Competition in the current industrial era is growing rapidly which requires more effective and efficient human resources. Contract employees are one of the company management's strategies for reducing the company's labor costs, but on the other hand, contract employees object because of uncertainty about career paths. Therefore, companies need to pay attention to the level of job satisfaction of contract employees, which is the main factor driving employee morale, discipline, and work performance in supporting the realization of company goals. Several factors that can influence performance are work motivation. This research aims to determine the influence of the work contract system and work motivation on the performance of PT. Busana Indah Global. The sample for this research is active contract employees. The technique for sampling was purposive sampling. In this research, the author used a questionnaire as an instrument in collecting data using Likert scale measurements. The method used in this research is a quantitative method that requires data analysis using validation, reliability, and multiple linear regression tests. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to employees of PT. Busana Indah Global consisted of 97 samples with 30 questions. The research results show that work motivation influences employee performance at PT. Busana Indah Global with an influence of 56.1%, while the rest is influenced by other factors. In the calculation results using SPSS, the influence of work motivation has a significant value of 0.001 < 0.005, meaning that work motivation does have a significant influence on the performance of employees at PT. Busana Indah Global.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of economic variables on Indonesia's economic growth in the short and long term. In this analysis, four main economic variables are evaluated: Goods Expenditures, Taxes, Subsidies, and Human Capital. The research results show that goods spending has a positive but not significant influence on economic growth, both in the short and long term. Meanwhile, taxes show a positive and significant influence on economic growth in both periods. However, subsidies are proven to have a negative and significant effect, indicating that providing subsidies may affect economic growth negatively in the short and long term. Apart from that, Human Capital also shows a negative and significant influence, highlighting the importance of investment in human resources to support sustainable economic growth in Indonesia. These findings provide valuable insights for economic policy that can be used to design more effective strategies for increasing Indonesia's economic growth.
