Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of executive factors, including executive overconfidence, average age of executives, and tenure of executives, as well as company factors such as growth, return on total assets, and market ratio, on equity compensation incentives. The study focuses on sharia-compliant companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Utilizing secondary data sourced from the official websites of the Financial Services Authority and Bank Indonesia, this study covers a ten-year period from 2010 to 2020. Using panel data analysis through E-views software, this study seeks to provide valuable insights into the dynamics of executive and company factors that influence equity compensation incentives in the context of sharia-compliant companies in Indonesia. The results show that executive overconfidence, average age of executives, and tenure of executives positively affect equity compensation incentives. The higher the level of executive confidence, age, and experience, the higher the likelihood of receiving equity compensation incentives. In addition, growth, ROA, and market ratio also positively affect equity compensation incentives, highlighting the alignment of executive incentives with strong financial performance and the company's strategic growth.

Abstract

Java Island contributes 57.05% to the Indonesian economy, with the logistics sector as one of the main contributors (13.96%) through transportation and warehousing. However, this sector faces challenges in the form of high logistics costs. Logistics performance, as measured by the Logistics Performance Index (LPI), shows a downward trend in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the influence of integration, agility, robustness, resilience, and sustainability supply chain on supply chain performance. Using a hypothesis testing approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through the AMOS program, primary data were collected from 289 logistics sector employees in Java Island using the technique of purposive sampling. The results of the study show a positive influence of supply chain integration on agility, resilience, resilience, and sustainability. Agility affects supply chain resilience and performance, while resilience also affects supply chain performance. However, there was no positive influence of resilience on resilience, resilience on performance, or integration on performance through resilience. Sustainability has the strongest influence on supply chain performance (0.834) compared to other factors. This study is limited to the logistics industry in Java Island, and it is recommended that similar studies be conducted in other sectors or regions to broaden insights. This study contributes to the supply chain literature and provides practical implications for logistics companies.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Islamic economic principles within the Minangkabau inheritance system as a viable solution for poverty alleviation. Focusing on the collective inheritance structure, it examines the alignment of Minangkabau matrilineal practices with Islamic values to enhance social welfare. A qualitative approach was employed, involving an in-depth analysis of inheritance customs, particularly the communal assets such as tanah ulayat (communal land) and rumah adat (traditional houses). Through interviews with local adat leaders, the study investigates how these collective assets reflect Islamic principles of justice and equity. Findings reveal that the Minangkabau inheritance system supports social welfare by preventing asset fragmentation and ensuring shared benefits within the community. This alignment between Islamic values and local customs enhances economic stability, suggesting that collective inheritance models can play a significant role in poverty alleviation efforts. Additionally, the study introduces a model that integrates cultural heritage with Islamic economic principles, underscoring its relevance for community-centered economic development. By examining the Minangkabau inheritance system through an Islamic economic lens, this study offers a unique perspective on community-driven poverty alleviation strategies.
