Abstract

Hasil belajar dan keterampilan kolaborasi merupakan indikator yang digunakan sebagai tolak ukur keberhasilan belajar siswa. Namun, seringkali hasil belajar dan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa masih sulit untuk bisa mencapai capaian pembelajaran yang telah dipersiapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif (PTKK) ini bertempat di SMPN 1 Godean dan dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan melibatkan sebanyak 31 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi modul ajar, asesmen diagnostik kognitif dan formatif serta rubrik observasi kolaboratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan skor capaian hasil belajar dari siklus I (64.52%) ke siklus II (87.10%) dengan peningkatan sebesar 22.58% dan capaian keterampilan kolaborasi dari siklus I (70.97%) ke siklus II (87.10%) dengan peningkatan sebesar 16.13%.

Abstract

The dual responsibilities of career and parenting place significant demands on female lecturers, particularly in tertiary institutions, where academic expectations often collide with family obligations. In Anambra and Enugu States, female lecturers face unique challenges in balancing these roles, with many experiencing stress, burnout, and anxiety due to time constraints and societal expectations. The study used a descriptive survey approach to examine the coping strategies of female lecturers managing career and parenting responsibilities in tertiary institutions in Anambra and Enugu States, southeastern Nigeria. A total of 2,297 respondents from colleges of education, universities, and polytechnics participated. Data were collected using a validated 4-point Likert scale questionnaire, the "Scale for Balancing Psychological Impacts of Career and Parenting" (SBPICP), with a reliability coefficient of 0.76. Descriptive statistics summarized demographic characteristics and pressures faced by participants. Non-parametric tests, including the Kruskal-Wallis and Jonckheere-Terpstra tests, were used to examine differences in perceptions based on marital status and age. Decision trees were also considered to explore nonlinear relationships in the data. The findings reveal that female lecturers face significant challenges in balancing career and parenting, including anxiety, burnout, stress, and time constraints. These challenges are exacerbated by societal expectations and family responsibilities, which negatively affect their psychological well-being and professional performance. Although work-life balance programs exist, their effectiveness in addressing these stressors remains limited, particularly in terms of childcare options and institutional support. The study also identifies various coping strategies employed by female lecturers, including time management and social support, as crucial in mitigating the negative impacts. Based on these findings, the study recommends the implementation of more comprehensive and targeted work-life balance programs, such as flexible working hours and childcare facilities, to enhance the well-being and professional performance of female lecturers.

Abstract

Langkah awal untuk menanamkan serta membentuk karakter sejak dini salah satunya dapat diterapkan melalui latihan intensif pada keterampilan berbicara yang dapat dibentuk saat anak di Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan observasi awal pada siswa kelompok B di TK Tunas Nusantara yang menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan berbicara dalam pembelajaran bahasa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini meningkatkan kemampuan anak yaitu kemampuan berbicara dengan penerapan metode role playing. Ada beberapa tahapan dalam proyek penelitian tindakan kelas ini, termasuk perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, evaluasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah dua puluh anak kelompok B Taman Kanak-kanak Tunas Nusantara Kabupaten Lampung Barat yang berusia lima sampai enam tahun. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian meliputi metode wawancara, pengamatan, dan evaluasi kinerja. Analisis data dalam penelitian bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, metode role playing terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelompok B TK Tunas Nusantara tahun ajaran 2024–2025. Kemampuan berbiacara anak-anak dalam kategori kurang telah menurun hingga 43% pada siklus II. Hasil penelitian menemukan peluang dilakukkannya pengembangan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan kemahiran atau kelancaran anak-anak usia dini dalam berbicara.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the impact of implementing translated Afro-futurism themes in early childhood education on cultural competence among primary school teachers in Anambra State, Nigeria. Adopting a survey design, the research utilized self-structured questionnaires distributed via Google Survey to accommodate the schedules of participants, ensuring they could respond at their convenience. To validate the survey instrument, feedback was sought from three experts in Measurement and Evaluation, affirming the questionnaire's validity. Reliability was confirmed through Cronbach's alpha coefficient, achieving a satisfactory reliability score of 0.84. The study's primary data source was a sample of 121 primary school teachers who completed the online survey. In examining the gathered information, the researcher applied different factual strategies. Frequency counts and percentages were utilized to sum up segment data. To address the examination questions, mean scores and standard deviations were determined, giving experiences into the members' points of view. Also, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was utilized to test the hypotheses, deciding the measurable meaning of any distinctions noticed. The analysis reveals significant differences in both teachers' perception of translated Afro-futurism themes across gender and the impacts of such content on children's cultural understanding based on teachers' years of experience. These findings highlight the importance of considering both gender and experience levels in implementing Afro-futurism in education. This systemic methodology worked with a thorough assessment of how integrating Afro-futurism into early childhood education influences cultural competence, offering significant bits of knowledge for teachers and policymakers in Anambra State and potentially beyond.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism development is a key factor in improving the quality of education. In line with the changing times and the dynamic needs of education, teachers are required to continuously update their knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes. This study aims to analyze various literature findings related to the development of teacher professionalism through continuous education programs. The method used in this study is a systematic literature review of scholarly articles, research reports, and relevant policy documents from the past ten years. The results show that in the context of 21st-century education, teachers are expected to adapt to diverse classroom dynamics through flexible teaching strategies that respond to students' needs. Schools play a strategic role in supporting continuous professional development (CPD) by providing training, forming learning communities, and collaborating with external institutions. In addition, Classroom Action Research (CAR) is recognized as an effective method for improving both student learning outcomes and teacher professional development. Through the implementation of these strategies, it is expected that the overall quality of education can be enhanced, better preparing the younger generation to face future challenges.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of educational puzzle games to enhance cognitive development in Group B students at TK Diponegoro 171 Windujaya. Observing low cognitive performance among the children, the teacher initiated classroom action research during the 2024/2025 academic year to improve learning quality through puzzle-based activities. The research followed Kemmis and McTaggart’s (1988) classroom action research model, utilizing descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods over two cycles. Participants included 22 children that consist of 7 boys and 15 girls. Data were collected through observation and documentation. Results indicated a significant improvement in cognitive development, increasing from 71% in Cycle I to 87% in Cycle II. These findings demonstrate that puzzle-based learning activities effectively support young children’s cognitive growth. Furthermore, this approach may be applied in other educational settings to enrich teaching practices and promote further research into cognitive development through puzzle play.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out whether the use of trading place learning strategies can increase social studies learning activities in class IV SD Negeri 2 Glodogan, Klaten. The research method used is the spiral model which consists of 4 components, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that through cycle I and cycle II there was an increase in student learning activities. The improvement in this study can be seen from the results of the data obtained from cycle I to cycle II. This can be explained from the beginning in the pre-cycle after working on evaluation questions and the results of observing learning activities to obtain the final result of an average percentage of 62.1% in the good category and 40% in the bad student category. Then in cycle I after working on evaluation questions and observations of student learning activities the final results obtained an average percentage of 74.1% in the good category and 48.1% in the bad category. Judging from the results obtained in cycle I, the expected intervention had not yet been achieved, so the researcher continued to cycle II. after cycle II has been completed the results of working on evaluation questions and the results of observing student learning activities obtain the final results of an average percentage of 85.9% and 77.5% in the good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas strategi pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia berbasis proyek dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar, keterampilan berbahasa, dan kompetensi sosial siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi di beberapa sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek secara signifikan mampu merangsang minat dan motivasi siswa dalam belajar, serta meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa secara praktis, khususnya dalam bidang menulis, berbicara, dan komunikasi interpersonal. Selain itu, pendekatan ini juga memperkuat kompetensi sosial siswa melalui kegiatan kolaboratif. Namun, terdapat beberapa tantangan yang harus dihadapi, seperti keterbatasan waktu pelaksanaan proyek, kesiapan guru, dan ketersediaan sumber daya pembelajaran yang memadai. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi pembelajaran berbasis proyek secara sistematis dalam kurikulum Bahasa Indonesia untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang inovatif, bermakna, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa masa kini.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare Among's theory and Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development theory by comparing and providing similarities and differences between the two theories. Both theories were proposed by Ki Hajar Dewantara and Vygotsky, two figures who discussed the concept of a social approach to learning. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach from Ki Hajar Dewantara's perspective on Among Theory and Vygotsky's ZPD theory. The research data is sourced from various books, articles, and accurate information sources. The analysis technique in this research is a comparative study discussing the similarities and differences between the two figures. The results of the reserarch data are: 1) Ki Hajar Dewantara's theory of Among uses the concept of Among, which is divided into Asah, Asih, and Asuh, applied to the learning process, 2) Vygotsky's theory of Zone Proximal Development (ZPD) is related to Scaffolding, which requires interaction between students and teachers with good language skills. 3) Application in primary education, namely the social role in assisting the learning process, such as guidance from teachers and students, students learning in groups, and parental guidance when studying at home. This research contributes by summarizing the concepts of Among and ZPD theories regarding the concepts of the two figures and analyzing their similarities and differences.
