Abstract

This research discusses counseling as a method of PTSD recovery in child victims of sexual abuse. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a psychological disorder that arises as a result of a traumatic event experienced or witnessed by an individual, which creates a sense of helplessness, resulting in serious disruption to one's quality of life. Recently, the phenomenon of sexual harassment has become increasingly rampant in society. Perpetrators are not only targeting adult victims, but also children. Sexual abuse experienced by a person can trigger the birth of PTSD. Victims of sexual abuse in children will cause physical and psychological trauma where psychological trauma will be heavier than physical trauma because it affects their social life. Significant psychological impacts, such as difficulties with various traumatic experiences, stigmatization, and even the potential risk of harmful behaviors such as self-mutilation or the tendency to become a perpetrator of sexual abuse in the future. Therefore, this issue needs to be addressed with behavioral counseling. This counseling assists children in learning to change problematic behaviors into applicable rules and norms. The purpose of counseling is to solve the client's problems or increase their strength to cope with life. This research uses a library research method, which is a method of collecting data by studying theories from various relevant literature.

Abstract

Novice voters are the type of voters who need to pay attention to their level of political participation. The importance of the role of social media is needed because of the lack of awareness and low political education for beginner voters so that it can reduce their participation rate in general elections. The aim is to find out the importance of the role of social media in increasing the participation of novice voters among students of Muhammadiyah Riau University. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method by collecting data and research facts about the role of social media and beginner voters among students. The existence of social media requires the government and political parties to immediately respond to all comments. Nowadays, people can communicate directly with these institutions to voice their opinions, provide comments, and even submit their demands. First-time voters can participate in politics through various digital platforms. This phenomenon creates a new era in political participation, known as digital political participation or more simply referred to as online political participation. Social media is now the cheapest, fastest and most effective communication tool. It is inevitable how important the role of social media is in politics to attract people's attention through campaigns, teach the younger generation about politics, and increase the participation of first-time voters.

Abstract

The ability to speak students through YouTube is important to consider certain aspects that affect the quality of communication. Analysis of students' speaking skills through YouTube media can also be a foundation for developing more effective learning strategies in academic environments. The research method used in this study is qualitative research method. The source of data in this study is 24 videos uploaded via youtube by students as a follow-up to the assignment of warament courses. With the results obtained that YouTube media is enough to contribute to warament courses for students. Although for students who are not used to speaking in front of the camera, they are quite difficult in pronouncing a sentence, but in the end they become motivated by preparing mentally, the text contains information that will be conveyed in the video.

Abstract

The study aimed to explore the connection between social support, self-esteem, and subjective well-being in psychology students at the Islamic University 45 Bekasi. The research involved ≤ 135 participants aged 18–25, actively enrolled in the psychology program for the class of 2021. Simple random sampling was employed for data collection. The findings revealed a positive correlation (0.551) between social support (X1) and subjective well-being (Y), suggesting a significant contribution of social support to the participants' well-being. Additionally, the correlation coefficient between self-esteem (X2) and subjective well-being (Y) was 0.743, indicating a positive and substantial influence of self-esteem on subjective well-being.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the form of social action in the song lyrics on the album Hurje! Maka Merapallah Zarathustra by Pangalo!, using qualitative descriptive methods and content analysis. The analysis was carried out based on a literary sociology approach with the help of social action theory to find out how social action takes shape in the lyrics of the album Hurje! Maka Merapallah Zarathustra. The theory of social action used in this research is based on Max Weber's opinion about forms of social action consisting of instrumental rational action, value-oriented rational action, traditional action, and affective action. The results of this research show that in the song lyrics on the album Hurje! Maka Merapallah Zarathustra by Pangalo!, there are various forms of social action which include instrumental rational action, value-oriented rational action, traditional action, and affective action. It was concluded that there were 81 social actions. These various social actions were found based on the analysis of 62 instrumental rational actions, 8 value-oriented rational actions, 5 traditional actions, and 6 affective actions..

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve reading skills through Jigsaw type cooperative learning for class VI students at SD Inpres, Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency. The subjects of this research were 40 grade VI students at SD Inpres Multilevel Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency. Academic Year 2023/2024. This PTK consists of 2 cycles, each consisting of 3 meetings. Data collection was carried out using the results of students' work when carrying out actions and observation sheets. The collected data was analyzed using quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. The results achieved were: (1) students' reading ability before the action was held was in the low category with an average score of 4.88 from the highest possible score of 10. (2) Students' reading ability after taking action in the form of Jigsaw type cooperative learning in Cycle I was in the high category with an average score of 8.04 from the highest possible score of 10. (3) Students' reading ability after taking action, in the form of learning by applying models Jigsaw type cooperative learning in Cycle II was in the very high category with an average score of 8.84 from the highest possible score of 10. (4) There was an increase in the percentage of student attendance. (5) Students' interest, attention and motivation in participating in the learning process using the Jigsaw cooperative model has also increased, this can be seen from the increase in student activity in the learning process. The results of this research also show changes on the teacher's side, initially teachers were less creative in using various Jigsaw type cooperative learning strategies, which had a good impact, apparently being able to motivate and increase teacher interest in developing effective learning.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in class I of SD Inpres Nawaripi by using a problem-based learning model assisted by bigbook media. The research was carried out over 3 (three) cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 (four) stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection/evaluation. The research instrument uses an observation sheet on the implementation of learning using the practice method and objective tests in the form of essy tests. The subjects in this research were class I students at SD Inpres Nawaripi with a total of 27 students. Subject determination is obtained based on the results of observations of the class to be studied and based on the results of referrals from the school principal. The results of this research obtained a value during the pre-cycle of 54.44, in the first cycle it increased to 63.70 and then in the second cycle the test results became 85.60, after taking action in the second cycle. The level of completion of learning outcomes in the pre-cycle reached 14.81%, the level of achievement of learning outcomes in cycle I reached 51.85%, and the level of achievement of learning outcomes in cycle II became 92.60%. Thus it can be concluded that the use of a problem-based learning model assisted by bigbook media can improve the learning outcomes of class I students at SD Inpres Nawaripi.

Abstract

This reseach was conducted besed on the result of observations where tehe teacher only used a monotonus learning method namely lectures, so that the teaching and learning process was only teacher-centred, the use of learning media was not optimal, and the teaching material and learning used were only extbooks and the teacher had never integrating natural science lesson with local wisdom in papua resulting in low student learning outcomes in natural science subject, style material. This reseach was made with the aim of developing science module that integrates the local papuan wisdom of hunting using bows to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade student at SD IPRES TIMIKA III. The modules created will be validated by material, media and languange experts to determine the feasibility of the modules that have been developed. The reseach model for this reseach is Borg and Gall reseach and development. The writing of the science module for class IV style material iss divided into 4 successive stages. The first stage is data collection, the second stage is making the initial design, the third module, and the fourth stage is making the final part of the module. After being given the natural sciente teaching module, style material which is integrated wit hpapuan local wisdom, the learning outcomes of student totaled 2505 with an average score of 83,50 with the lowest score being 70 and the highest score being 100 with the percentage of score that achieve the maximum completenes criteria of 100%. Thus the science learning modul, integrated style material, local wisdom, hunting using bows which was developed was effective in improving the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD INPRES TIMIKA III.

Abstract

Learning media is an important thing to do in learning, therefore researchers develop learning media. This research was conducted at MTs Salafiyah Kasim because this school has potential and problems. The problem that researchers found in class was the lack of student activity in participating in history learning in class, namely at the beginning of learning there were students who felt sleepy and apart from that other students preferred to play with their classmates, so students became less active in the material. From the results of these observations, the researcher obtained several problem formulations, namely 1.) What are the steps for developing infographic media on the theme of the upgrading temple for class VII students at Mts Salafiyah Kasim. 2.) What is the level of validity of developing infographic media on the theme of upgrading temples for class VII students at Mts Salafiyah Kasim. This research includes development research or R&D (Research and Development) using the ADDIE development model. Data collection by researchers uses observation, questionnaires and documentation. The data obtained will be in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data in the form of observations and short interviews and quantitative data in the form of test scores and results from validation of infographic media. The validity of infographic media on the theme of upgrading temples is in the good category. In the media expert validity test the average was 50 with a percentage of 83%, in the material expert validity test the average was 93 with a percentage of 88%. Based on these results, infographic media is suitable for use. Steps for developing infographic media on the theme of temple upgrading. In the first stage of analysis, the researcher analyzed the needs in consultation with the class VII social studies teacher at Mts Salafiyah Kasim, namely Ludfi ​​Abu Mahmud, S. Mat., in the second stage of design, the researcher designed the infographic media as attractively as possible , the third stage of development, the researcher validates the learning media with validators, the fourth stage of implementation, the researcher tests the media for large-scale and small-scale trials. The fifth stage of evaluation, comparison of trials of infographic media on a large scale and a small scale.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of strengthening study discipline and parental support on students' academic achievement at SD Negeri Cengkong 1. The research method employed was a correlational survey with quantitative analysis. Data were collected from sixth-grade students through questionnaires for primary data and from students' report cards for secondary data. The research design utilized multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed a significant influence of study discipline and parental support collectively on students' academic achievement, with a 50.3% joint effect. Furthermore, both study discipline and parental support individually exhibited significant positive effects on students' academic achievement. Study discipline positively contributed to students' academic achievement, indicating that higher levels of study discipline corresponded to higher academic performance. Similarly, parental support significantly influenced students' academic achievement, suggesting that greater parental support led to better academic performance. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of study discipline and parental support in enhancing students' academic achievement.
