Abstract

The aims of this research were to (1) determine the ability to write explanatory text in class VIII of Hessa Air Genting Private Middle School Islamiyah before using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Model, (2) determine the ability to write explanatory text in class VIII of Private Islamiyah Middle School Hessa Air Genting after using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Model, and (3) knowing the influence of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Model on the ability to write explanatory texts in Class VIII Students of Hessa Air Genting Private Islamic Middle School. This research involved all 114 class VIII students, with a sample of 78 people who were divided into two classes: control class (39 people) and experimental class (39 people). The instruments used include general statements, series of events, closings, causal conjunctions, chronological conjunctions, pronouns, and technical words. The experimental method used is a two group post-test with a quantitative approach, and uses data analysis techniques such as analysis requirements tests, normality tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of the research show that the ability to write explanatory text using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Model has a significant impact, as evidenced by the value of tcount > ttable (5.64 > 2.02439), indicating a significant increase in the ability to write explanatory text for class VIII students at Hessa Air Genting Private Islamic Middle School in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

The application of Project Based Learning (PBL) Methods has become the main research objective in improving mathematical problem solving abilities in secondary schools. This article was written with the aim of exploring the effectiveness of Project Based Learning (PBL) in the context of mathematics learning. The research method used is literature study and comprehensive analysis of related research results. The research results show that PBL makes a positive contribution in improving students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The factors of active student involvement, development of collaborative skills, and application of mathematical concepts in real world contexts are the keys to the success of PBL. The practical implication of these findings is the need for integration of PBL in secondary school mathematics curricula to support the development of better problem solving abilities.

Abstract

The role of parents in supporting children's learning in the home environment has a substantial impact on children's academic, emotional, and social progress. Starting from the early stages of development, parents' involvement in supporting their children's learning process at home, along with the strategies they implement, plays a crucial role in achieving this goal efficiently. This research applies the literature study method to explore how parents inspire their children to study at home. The research results emphasize the urgency of the role of parents in triggering children's enthusiasm for learning in the home environment. They are not only providers of learning materials, but also as models and facilitators who influence their children's attitudes and enthusiasm for learning. These findings are in line with learning motivation theories which highlight the influence of social and environmental factors in shaping children's enthusiasm for learning internally and externally. Thus, this research emphasizes that parents have an important role in shaping children's learning attitudes and behavior at home. Therefore, it is important for parents to understand their role in stimulating children's enthusiasm for learning at home and to get support in improving the skills needed in this regard.purpose.

Abstract

The focus on 21st-century skills has become a primary concern in education today, especially in the PPL school environment at SMA Negeri 3 Medan. This research aims to identify and analyze liberating educational strategies in developing 21st century skills in the school. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through interviews with teachers, classroom observations, and analysis of educational documents. The research results show that SMA Negeri 3 Medan has implemented several liberating educational strategies, such as project-based learning, collaboration between students, and empowering students in the learning process. These strategies are designed to improve 21st century skills, such as problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, digital literacy, and emotional skills. However, there are still several challenges faced by SMA Negeri 3 Medan in implementing liberating education strategies. Therefore, a strong commitment is needed from all relevant parties to continue to develop and strengthen liberating educational strategies to prepare students to face the demands of the 21st century.

Abstract

Physical skills alone are not enough to be a good soccer player; Need to have strong tactical and mental abilities. In this article, research and interviews conducted with football experts who have proven themselves in the world of football are presented. They reveal the key to success in dribbling the ball. Experts provide advice and tricks that have helped them reach the peak of their performance, from basic techniques to more complex strategies. Technical skill development, tactical intelligence, mental readiness, and training and match preparation techniques are some of the elements discussed in this presentation. Soccer players of all levels can improve their abilities and achieve success in the game by understanding and applying the principles taught by experts.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability of students to write anecdotal texts which was influenced by several factors. This research aims to determine the effect of the way modeling method on the ability to write anecdotal texts by class X students of Galang Development Private High School. The population in this study were all class X students of Galang Development Private High School, namely 56 people. The samples in this study were 28 students in class X IPA 1, and 28 students in class X IPS 1. The method used in this research is an experimental method using a Two Group Posttest Design. Data analysis techniques use analysis requirements tests, normality tests, and hypothesis tests. The results in the experimental class obtained an average of 72.46 in the good category, while the research results in the control class obtained an average of 66.35 in the sufficient category. Based on the similarity test of the average score of the experimental class and the average score of the control class, it is known that the results of the ability to write persuasive texts for the two groups show significant differences. The results of hypothesis testing with the "t" test obtained tcount > ttable, namely 1.81 > 1.022 at the 5% significance level. This shows that there is a significant influence from the use of the Modeling The Way Method on the Ability to Write Anecdotal Texts of Class X Students at the Galang Development Private High School.

Abstract

Digital Village Index (DVI) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a method or technique of measuring the digitalization maturity and maturity of a village through the analysis of relevant indicators that are suitable for the village. Measurement of village digitalization is a very important thing to do in order to evaluate existing digitalization activities and to prepare further digitalization planning. This research aims to analyze digitalization in Kanrung Village, which will show how the readiness, opportunities, and challenges of the village towards a digital village based on the Digital Village Index (DVI) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The results of this study show that the level of measurement is still at level 2 (Connected), where the village has digital technology, but it has not been implemented and the process of correspondence services is still manual.

Abstract

The focus of the research is used so that there are no mistakes in the discussion that the author will carry out, so the author limits it to the following problem: Implementation of religious character education for early childhood by parents who work as farmers in Jorong Lurah in Palupuh sub-district. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Implemented in Jorong Lurah Dalam Agam Regency in August 2023 until completion. The research subjects were parents and children. Informants are parents, supporting informants are young children. Data collection uses interviews, observation and documentation. Validity techniques use source triangulation and engineering triangulation. Based on the research results, it was concluded that parents in implementing character education through the methods of example, habituation, advice and storytelling are very effective in their application because parents are always an example for their children. The obstacle that parents face in forming their children's character is the presence of external environmental factors that influence them, both positive and negative. Then, the availability of time that parents give to educate children's character at home is limited because parents are busy with work.

Abstract

Literacy is important to master in the 21st century. However, in reality, students' low literacy skills are exacerbated by the use of conventional media and the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) which is not yet optimal. This research aims to (1) analyze the validity of Aksaranesia.co as GLS media at SMPN 4 Yogyakarta City; (2) analyzing the compatibility of Aksaranesia.co as GLS media at SMPN 4 Yogyakarta City; and (3) analyzing the usability of Aksaranesia.co as GLS media at SMPN 4 Yogyakarta City. This research is Research and Development (R&D), with a waterfall model consisting of 5 stages, namely requirements and definition, system and software design, implementation and unit testing, integration and system testing, and operation and maintenance. The results of this R&D are: (1) Aksaranesia.co obtained a mean score of 3.30 on content validity, and 3.66 on construct validity, so it is very valid; (2) Compatibility testing on Android 10.0-13.0, as well as Google Developer tools shows that Aksaranesia.co is 100% compatible; and (3) Aksaranesia.co through usability testing with a percentage of 96.68% or very feasible. Aksaranesia.co is expected to provide implications in efforts to develop literacy media to support the 2030 SDGs.
