Abstract

The scientific approach in inclusive classes is a learning method that allows children with special needs (ABK) and normal children (non-ABK) to work together to be active in learning in class. The aim of this research is to describe sanitary learning in inclusive elementary school classes. This research uses the Literature Review research method. The data analysis technique is carried out descriptively by analyzing and identifying scientific articles to produce a more informative summary. The results of this research show that implementing scientific-based learning consists of five steps, namely through: 1) Observing, 2) Asking, 3) Trying, 4) Reasoning and 5) Communicating. The application of scientific learning in inclusive classes is still not implemented optimally, especially in communication activities. Students in inclusive scientific learning classes are still unable to communicate deftly and their behavior tends to be hyperactive or very passive.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the effect of cognitive styles (that is, field-dependent and field-independent) on reading comprehension using the SAVI model (somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual). The 52 students from two classes participated in the study, assigned to experimental and control classes. The experimental class was treated by teaching the SAVI model and the control group was taught conventionally (Teacher Centre). Students in the control and experimental classes were divided into groups based on their cognitive style (dependent versus independent) results on the GEFT (Group Embedded Figure Test). The results of the study indicated that it was about the interaction between cognitive style and reading comprehension. Research results show that there are differences in student reading performance between students using the SAVI learning model and the direct learning model (Teacher Center). There is an important interplay between learning models and students' cognitive styles regarding their ability to comprehend what they read. Among students with subject-independent cognitive styles, those who received the SAVI learning model performed better in reading than those who received the direct learning model. Students in the direct learning model with subject-dependent cognitive styles and reading comprehension perform better than those in the SAVI learning model.

Abstract

Independent Curriculum is a transitional curriculum after the COVID-19 crisis. Independent Curriculum aims to make students have learning independence, think critically, innovatively and creatively. This requires students to be more active (student oriented), able to solve personal and other problems, and able to produce certain projects as the final output of the learning process. Campuses are free to design curricula for learning systems and lecture systems to realize these goals. This research focuses on seeing student responses in the application of the Independent Curriculum in terms of the learning system and lecture system. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an unstructured interview method. The results showed a positive student response to the implementation of the Independent Curriculum even though there are notes that can be used as reference material for improving curriculum development in the future.

Abstract

In the context of the Industrial Era 4.0, which is characterized by the rapid development of digital technology and automation, consideration of individual physical fitness is becoming increasingly important. Physical health and fitness have a major impact on personal productivity in an ever-changing, digitally connected work environment. This article examines the relationship between fitness fitness and personal productivity during this period. Empirical studies and research literature support the assumption that fitness has a positive impact on individual productivity. People who maintain physical health tend to have higher energy levels, better stress tolerance, and better cognitive abilities. These factors are becoming increasingly important in a competitive, technology-driven work environment. However, there are challenges to implementing this concept effectively in the Industrial Era 4.0. Changes in work patterns, time pressures and the tendency to be attached to digital devices can hinder maintaining physical fitness. Therefore, organizations and individuals need to adopt a holistic approach, including healthy lifestyle habits, smart planning, and the use of technology to support work-life balance. Understanding the relationship between physical fitness and personal productivity in the Industry 4.0 Era allows companies to take proactive steps to improve the health and well-being of their employees, resulting in improved overall company performance and competitiveness.
