Abstract

The movie Bitch X Rich is a short Korean drama about the life of Cheongdam International High School students. The lives of these high school students become compartmentalized, only because of differences in economic and social status. The movie Bitch X Rich unwittingly turns out that there are also many negative things happening in the film. Thus there are several scenes that are quite disturbing and uncomfortable to watch such as power and verbal and non-verbal violence. The problem in this study is how the elements of power and violence contained in the movie Bitch X Rich according to Roland Barthes semiotics seen from denotation, connotation and myth. This research uses descriptive methods and uses a qualitative approach. The results revealed that in the movie Bitch X Rich there are scenes of power and verbal and non-verbal violence. Power is the ability to influence others to think and behave according to the will of the influencer. Verbal violence is a form of violence characterized by speech in this film, In the film Bitch X Rich, four findings of power representation were found. First, the depiction of acts of power from Seo Hee Soo who tried to eliminate traces of murder. Second, the act of power from Baek Je Na. Third, the act of power from Kang Na Yeon's mother who wants to destroy Kim Hye In's life. And finally, acts of power from the highest education project students who bully the equivalent education project students. Then, in the findings of physical violence, there were scenes of beating and murder committed by Yul Hee to Kim Hae In. In addition, there are also scenes of beatings and torture committed by Kim Hye In to Baek Je Na. While in non-physical violence, there are threats and accusations made by Kim Hye In to Baek Je Na. There were also physical and non-physical forms of violence committed by Kang Na Yeon's mother to Kim Hye In. Finally, there were acts of beating and torture committed by Si Eun to other students. In non-physical violence, threats, insults, and harassment committed by students to other students were found. This verbal violence can affect various aspects of life, such as academic performance and social relationships. Overall, the representation of power and violence in the film Bitch X Rich is dominated by physical violence shown through actions, conflicts, and character dialog. This is also in line with the theory of violence used in this study, that violence is used in entertainment to attract audiences.

Abstract

The phenomenon of investigative journalism portrayed in the Korean drama *Nothing Uncovered* illustrates the dynamics of media, power, and truth amid social conflicts and political interests. The drama shows how the search for facts goes beyond the surface of news reporting, touching upon courage, ethics, and the professional dilemmas faced by journalists. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims to analyze the representation of investigative journalism practices in the drama using Teun A. Van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with audiovisual text analysis. Data were collected through documentation of key scenes depicting investigative activities, then analyzed using van Dijk’s three dimensions: text structure, social cognition, and social context. The findings reveal that *Nothing Uncovered* represents investigative journalism as a layered process, starting from evidence collection, witness interviews, to news publication under pressure from power structures. At the textual level, the drama emphasizes discourse strategies that contrast truth with media manipulation. On the level of social cognition, the journalist is portrayed as an agent of change who adheres to justice and integrity. Meanwhile, at the social context level, the drama illustrates the power relations between media, law, and politics, which often restrict press freedom. This study highlights that the representation of investigative journalism in popular media not only provides entertainment but also serves as a critical reflection of social realities and the challenges faced by the press profession in society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi marketing public relations yang dilakukan oleh merek Mukena Siti Khadijah melalui platform Instagram terhadap minat beli pelanggan. Di era digital saat ini, media sosial menjadi salah satu alat komunikasi yang efektif untuk menjangkau konsumen serta membangun hubungan yang kuat dengan publik. Strategi marketing public relations yang dimaksud mencakup aktivitas komunikasi dua arah serta penyampaian informasi produk secara persuasif melalui konten visual dan naratif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang disebarkan kepada 100 responden pengguna Instagram yang mengikuti akun resmi Mukena Siti Khadijah. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier sederhana untuk mengukur pengaruh variabel independen, yaitu strategi marketing public relations di Instagram, terhadap variabel dependen, yaitu minat beli pelanggan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi marketing public relations melalui Instagram memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli pelanggan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan media sosial secara strategis dalam aktivitas public relations mampu meningkatkan ketertarikan dan keputusan pembelian konsumen, khususnya dalam industri fesyen muslim.

Abstract

Marketing communication is an important part of business. Effective marketing communication greatly helps companies in increasing market share. In this effort, companies need to use marketing communication strategies, one of which is personal selling. Personal selling is face to face marketing method so that sales are created and can build trust and attachment to potential buyers. The purpose of the study is to find out how to implement personal selling as a marketing communication strategy in shaping the brand image of Greenpro. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that the implementation of personal selling is carried out using retail selling in building the brand image of Greenpro products. The research results also show that GreenPro uses the personal selling stages used in forming the Greenpro brand image starting from selecting consumers, pre-approaching, approaching, presenting, overcoming objections, closing and customer follow-up

Abstract

The movie "A Long Way, Don't Forget to Go Home" is one of the drama genre films that focuses on platonic relationships or what is known as non-romantic relationships that occur between Aurora, Honey, and Kit. This movie is a sequel to "One Day We’ll Talk About Today" directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko and produced by Visinema Pictures. Broadly speaking, this movie tells the story of Aurora who continues her art education in London, where she discovers new things, one of which is the meaning of life. Aurora, who at that time was facing various problems, managed to survive through obstacles while being a nomad in a foreign country after being helped by the figures of Honey and Kit, her two best friends, who both lived as nomads in the country. The presence of Honey and Kit by Aurora's side made her feel comfortable, as they treated her like a sister, and always provided support to her. The platonic relationship between Aurora, Honey, and Kit is shown through their interactions that are full of familiarity and respect for each other without any romantic overtones. They support each other in their journey to find the meaning of life and face life's challenges. In this movie, the platonic relationship is illustrated as a form of friendship that overcomes distance and time. Although the two have different backgrounds and lives, they remain emotionally and spiritually connected. In conclusion, "A Long Way, Don't Forget to Go Home" beautifully illustrates the importance of platonic relationships in our lives, emphasizing that friendship can be a source of strength and deep understanding in the midst of a life full of changes and challenges.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to increase sales of Cream Zarita cosmetic products by using Panji Apandi's Shopee shop account as a marketing communication strategy. The goal of this study is to determine how the marketing communication strategy used by Panji Apandi Shop affects Cream Zarita sales. This study employs several informants and a qualitative descriptive methodology. Information gathered via interviews, documentation, and direct observation at the study site served as the data source. Documentation, interviews, and observation are the methods used to acquire data. Techniques for analysing data include data reduction, data visualisation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Panji Apandi Shop uses marketing communication strategies to increase sales by live streaming, posting attractive product images and descriptions, and actively responding to consumer conversations, activating the free shipping feature, participating in shopee programs and events, and giving gifts to consumers. In the marketing activities carried out by Panji Apandi shop, it provides conclusions and results from the activities carried out there. Based on the research results, the marketing communication strategy model includes the application of the 4P marketing communication mix, namely product, price, place, promotion, combined with various marketing communication instruments.

Abstract

The development of the creative industry, various draft bills or broadcasting laws, is one of the focuses of attention. This bill was created with the aim of regulating various aspects of broadcasting, including regulation of the film industry. However, in the process of drafting and determining the articles, there was a gap in the emergence of various problems or issues that could affect industrial development in Indonesia. The broadcasting bill drafted by the DPR RI is the broadcasting bill dated 02 October 2023. The broadcasting bill consists of 14 chapters, to be precise on Monday, 27 May 2024, the process of drafting the text of the Revision of Law Number 32 of 2022 concerning Broadcasting (Broadcasting Bill) drew criticism from various circles, the problem formulation discussed is how the second media. Com constructs the discourse on the Broadcasting Bill in terms of text structure, social cognition and social context? And are there any practices of power that are behind or are revealed in the discourse structure of reporting on the broadcasting bill? . In this thesis, the research design used is qualitative descriptive research. Descriptive research is research to collect information regarding the status of an existing symptom, namely the situation according to the conditions at the time the research was carried out. The results of the superstructure analysis on the detik sumsel news media portal showed that the news writing met the requirements consisting of introduction, content and conclusion. . News can begin with a title that arouses other people's interest in reading, narrate an introduction that reflects some of the content of the news being conveyed, and reveal facts as discussion or content of the news, and close with criticism of the news that is being discussed. Then the microstructure in the news text shows that the news writer.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa saja program analisis konten pada script writer program. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian lapangan (field research), yaitu penelitian yang mencari data di lapangan untuk mendukung teori yang digunakan. Metode atau pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskritif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dalam melakukan wawancara terdiri dari 2 (dua) informan, yaitu Kepala Bidang Program sebagai informan utama dan Kasi Teknik Produksi & Penyiaran sebagai informan pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Jejak Islam LPP TVRI Sumsel analisis konten pada Script Writer program menggunakan teori Agenda Setting yang cenderung berkonsentrasi pada media yang mempunyai kemampuan untuk menyeleksi dan mengarahkan masyarakat pada gagasan atau peristiwa tertentu khususnya perihal komunikasi. Upaya yang dilakukan bahwa Script Writer dalam program acara Jejak Islam yang dilakukan pihak produser sebelum ke penayangan program ialah melakukan perancangan perencanaan pesan terlebih dahulu, perencanaan pesan disini mencakup pra-produksi, penemuan ide, perencanaan.

Abstract

KAI access is an official application from KAI to make reservations, as a boarding pass tool, train tickets. This application is made to make it easier, especially for KAI passengers, to order tickets, as a medium to find route information and train schedules according to the needs of train passengers. This study discusses the strategy and implementation of customer relationship management of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) through the KAI Access application in increasing customer satisfaction at Simpang Haru Train Station. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of service quality, Promotion, and Ease of Use of the KAI Access application partially and simultaneously on customer satisfaction of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) at Simpang Haru Train Station. The data collection methods used were questionnaires, interviews and observations.The implementation of the Access by KAI application at Simpang Haru Train Station has been running well, supporting customer convenience in ordering tickets and accessing schedule information.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has changed the landscape of public relations (PR), encouraging organizations to adapt quickly in the way they communicate and build relationships with the public. This research aims to understand and develop relevant and effective PR strategies in the digital era, where the use of new media is the key to reaching audiences in a fast and efficient way. With a qualitative approach through literature study, analysis was carried out on various sources covering the positive and negative impacts of technology, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in PR. The results show that although AI offers efficiency and deep data analysis, there are risks of technology dependency and privacy concerns. This research emphasizes the importance of new skills for PR practitioners to be able to face modern challenges, while serving as a bridge between organizations and society. With an innovative approach, PR can improve brand reputation and awareness, and build stronger relationships in this digital era
