Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) The influence of discovery learning and expository learning models on student learning outcomes, 2) The influence of social skills on student learning outcomes. 3) The interaction between learning models and social skills on student learning outcomes. This study used a quasi-experimental research method. The research was conducted from April to May 2021.The population of this study were 48 students of grade V SDN 034799 Doloktolong who were chosen randomly by random sampling technique. Abstract

The research was aimed are to: (1). Knowing the result social studies of students who were taught using pop up book media were higher than of students who were taught using poster media in class V, (2). Knowing the social studies learning outcomes of students who think critically is higher than the social studies learning outcomes of students who think critically low in class V, (3). Knowing the interaction between the use of pop up book learning media, posters and critical thinking on social studies learning outcomes for class V students. This type of research is a research conducted using a quasi-experimental method. The sample in this study were students of class V. The research design used a 2 x 2 factorial design with data analysis techniques using two-way analysis of variance (ANAVA). The results of this study indicate that: (1). The results of the Anova 2x2 test are known to have a value of F = 41,048 with a price of sig = 0.000, so it can be concluded that the social studies learning outcomes of students taught with pop up book media are higher than those of students who are taught using poster media. (2). The results of the Anova 2x2 test showed that the value of F = 45,250 with a price of sig = 0.000, so it was concluded that the results of the social studies learning who had high critical thinking were higher than the social studies learning outcomes of students who had low critical thinking. (3). The results of the Anova 2x2 interaction between the use of pop up book learning media, posters and critical thinking on students social studies learning outcomes are known that F = 4,586 with a price of sig = 0.038, so it can be concluded that there is an interaction between the use of pop up book, poster and critical thinking learning media on students social studies learning outcomes is proven true.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine: (1) To determine the effect of applying the scientific approach to the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on student learning outcomes. (2) To determine the effect of Social Skills on student learning outcomes (3) To determine the interaction of the Scientific Approach Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) and social skills in influencing student learning outcomes of Civics. The population of this study was all fifth grade students at SDN 106161 Laut Dendang for the academic year 2020/2021. The sampling technique in this study was taken randomly using a lottery, determined 2 (two) classes as the experimental group, namely 1 (one) class being the Scientific Approach Treatment class and the 2nd class being the expository learning treatment class. The determination of the experimental class and the control class is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in the VA class30 Students and expository learning model in VB class 28 Students. The data analysis technique used was two-way ANOVA at a significance level of = 0.05, followed by the Scheffe test. The results obtained: (1) the average PPKn learning outcomes of students with Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning is 24.37 higher than students with expository learning of 19.46. (2) the average civics learning outcomes among students who have high social skills get an average score = 24.15, while the civics learning outcomes of students who have low social skills get an average score = 20.25 (3) there is no interaction between the use of the learning model and students social skills (high and low), namely the high social skills group (26.69), and the low social skills group (22.59), which is greater than the students who are taught with expository learning, namely the high social skills group (21.62), and the low social skills group (17.60). The results of data analysis concluded that students with high social skill characteristics used the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model and obtained a high average. While low social skills using the Expository model will get a low average. The implication of this research is that efforts to improve the teaching and learning process provide a more meaningful learning experience for students, one of the efforts that teachers can do is through the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL).

Abstract

This research and development aim to: (1) produce interactive multimedia based on problem based learning that is suitable for use in the sub-theme of national events during the colonial period, and (2) determine the improvement of student learning outcomes from the use of interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning in the sub-theme of national events, developed colonial period. This type of research is research and development that uses a 4-D model. The research method consists of two stages: the first stage of developing learning multimedia and the second stage of testing the product's effectiveness. The results of the research in the development stage of learning multimedia products show that: (1) the assessment of material experts is in the very feasible criteria with an average score of 4.58, (2) the assessment of media experts is in the very feasible criteria with an average score of 4.51. The effectiveness of the learning device was concluded based on the post-test results of students in the second trial, the percentage of classical completeness was 90% with 30 students or 90% declared complete. Moreover, 3 students or 10% are declared incomplete. 3) The practicality of student learning media is concluded based on the teacher's response; the teacher's response to the learning media in the first trial reached 91.67%, which was included in the convenient category. Assessment of student learning outcomes based on pretest and post-test analyzed using N-Gain obtained an average gain value of 0.7, which is in the high category.
