Abstract

Generation Z, which is synonymous with the internet and cyberspace, also has concern for the environment. This study aims to describe the role of students’ green mindset in protecting nature in their fourth semester. This study uses a qualitative, naturalistic paradigm. Primary data was taken from participatory observations of 107 students in the 2020 and 2021 classes of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting study program and interviews with 11 of them. The results of this study were: (1) They have a growth mindset to protect nature; (2) The green mindset they have had has been implemented with real behavior, namely holding deliberations with faculty student organizations to protect the surrounding environment, educating elementary school-age children to sort out the trash around them, doing a simple campaign on the social media they have, writing green in online media, and carrying out real actions in the field (planting plant seeds around the faculty and inviting campus residents to collect cooking oil waste). Overall, students' green mindsets should be cultivated by providing a green curriculum with several green courses to manage environmental challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to provide information and become a reference for other parties in developing effective communication methods in waste management. Thus, the waste problem in Palu City can be overcome more efficiently, and the community can be more aware of environmental cleanliness. By involving active participation from all parties, including the community and society, waste management efforts can succeed, and Palu City will become cleaner and healthier. The research method used is a qualitative method that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words and observable behavior. This approach describes the social world from the point of view of the individual or the informant's interpretation in a scientific context. Informants were selected based on purposive sampling techniques with selection based on predetermined criteria, namely Seangle's permanent administrators, who have joined since the beginning of the community's establishment in 2017, the Palu City Environmental Agency, and participants in Seangle's work programs. The results showed that the work program carried out by Seangle had provided positive changes to people's habits, which, although not measured in concrete data, observationally look significant from time to time. The motivation given by Seangle through a persuasive attitude aroused community participation to build positive habits toward waste management in Palu City jointly.

Abstract

This research will focus on the symbolic interaction of the 'gemoy' character carried by the Prabowo-Gibran pair. This research uses a qualitative research method that uses a literature review by using various data and information about the "gemoy" character found in the media, both print and digital media. The data analysis used is semiotic analysis to analyze the meaning behind the 'gemoy' branding used by Prabowo-Gibran. The results of the study found that the political campaign strategy used by Prabowo-Gibran has a message meaning that the winning team is trying to show another character from Prabowo to attract the attention of young voters. The viral animated character also indirectly disguises Prabowo's figure who has been considered tough because he is a former military man. Therefore, many young voters on several social media accounts showed their support for Prabowo-Gibran by uploading 'gemoy' animated content. The purpose of this research is to find out in more detail the implied meaning of the characters used by the Prabowo - Gibran winning team. This can be a reference for various parties in the future to be able to use unique ways of campaigning that might get a lot of votes from the public. What Prabowo-Gibran has done is almost the same as what Ferdinand Marcos Jr. did. Therefore, the use of unique ways to campaign is one of the positive political strategies to attract public attention. In addition, the results of this study are so that readers can understand that various kinds of political strategies can coexist with the vision and mission of the presidential and vice presidential candidates.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the dynamics of social interaction in the digital era, particularly within the context of online social networking platforms, with a focus on the Islamic perspective. The method employed is a qualitative literature review, which aims to reorganize, synthesize, and analyze relevant literature on this research topic. The findings and conclusions related to the research topic are then compiled based on the analysis of the literature. The results and discussions highlight the role of social media, especially Instagram, as a primary stage for Islamic preaching, as well as the implications of social interaction dynamics within the religious context. Additionally, both the positive and negative impacts of social interaction in online social networks are presented, along with the challenges faced. The implications of the findings for our understanding of the dynamics of social interaction in online social networks from an Islamic perspective are also discussed. It is hoped that this research can provide profound insights into how social interaction in online social networks is understood from the Islamic standpoint while illustrating the complexity and dynamics of this phenomenon within the religious context.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah proactively seeks to involve all segments of society in various educational and social activities. This approach not only strengthens the basis of tolerance and understanding between religious communities but also helps reduce prejudice and promote peaceful coexistence. Education is one of the most effective tools used by Muhammadiyah to spread the values ​​of tolerance. Schools and universities founded by this organization offer curricula that emphasize the importance of social harmony and diversity. This education is not limited to academic knowledge alone, but also involves extracurricular activities that promote interaction between students from various religious and ethnic backgrounds. The success of this approach can be seen not only from the harmony maintained between religious communities within Muhammadiyah but also from the recognition and appreciation received from the wider community. This proves that religion can be a positive force in a pluralistic society, supporting the idea that tolerance and harmony are the main pillars in building and maintaining a society.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the Public relations (PR) approach that the Wardah brand used to advertise its goods at the Irian Supermarket in Medan Tembung. The research methodology used was qualitative and descriptive in nature. Observation, interviews, documentation, and literature reviews from pertinent books and journals are some of the techniques used to gather data. The research results answered that Wardah's Brand Image Public Relations Strategy in promotion at Irian Supermarket Medan Tembung uses a Public Relations strategy, namely, 1) Strategy of Publicity, 2) Strategy of Persuasion, and 3) Strategy of Image. According to research, Wardah sends press releases emphasizing the benefits of its products in order to guarantee favorable publicity by using its strong ties with the local media. Furthermore, the company actively sponsors neighborhood events and activities inside the store, organizing unique discounts and events to draw in customers. Working together with prominent locals and influencers, participating in community events, and attending social gatherings all help to improve links with customers. Along with implementing a digital PR strategy, Wardah increased its online visibility through blogs, websites, and social media platforms while continuing to engage in active customer service. Wardah extensively advertises its items at Irian Supermarket Medan Tembung, building a positive Brand image and raising consumer awareness. The company focuses on in-supermarket product demonstrations, eye-catching layouts, and innovative web advertising.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan guna mengetahui bagaimana komunikasi interpersonal guru dalam pendampingan belajar kepada anak penderita kanker di Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah guru yang mengajar di Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia Bandung. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, serta studi literatur. Hasil penelitian ini bahwa Implementasi komunikasi interpersonal dalam menghadapi anak-anak yang sulit untuk belajar, guru-guru membujuk dan memotivasi siswa agar semangat belajar melalui beragam strategi, salah satunya yakni memberikan reward, menerapkan permainan edukatif, atau memberikan tugas tambahan untuk memperkuat pemahaman anak terhadap materi. Adapun pendampingan dengan komunikasi interpersonal dalam praktiknya melibatkan perhatian terhadap kebutuhan fisik dan emosional anak-anak, seperti mengajak mereka makan, bertanya tentang kesehatan, dan memberikan dukungan emosional. Pendekatan yang fleksibel, seperti metode bermain, diskusi, tanya jawab, dan pendekatan personal, digunakan untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang interaktif.

Abstract

Submission of verified government information must be provided by the Region III Higher Education Service Institution, as the government institution that oversees universities in the Jakarta area. This requires strengthening the public relations function because the use of social media is not yet optimal in each tertiary institution in LLDikti Region III. This research aims to determine the management of LLDikti Region III Instagram social media in strengthening the function of government public relations. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and documentation. The theories used in this research are the Social Media Management Theory by Chris Heuer and the Government Public Relations Function Theory by Rusady Ruslan. The research results show that the social media management carried out has provisions and policies for packaging, disseminating and responding to messages, as well as collaborating with stakeholders. Apart from that, LLDikti Region III safeguards government policies of the Ministry of Education and Culture, provides information services based on the KIP Law, and acts as a proactive mediator in bridging the interests of the institution with the public, as well as creating political security stability in each uploaded content.

Abstract

This research examines the communication patterns of caregivers in equipping foster children to face the challenges of the 4.0 era at the Seroja Children's Social Rehabilitation Service Center (PPRSA), Bone Regency, South Sulawesi. The aim of this research is to determine the communication patterns used by caregivers to equip foster children to face the 4.0 era as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in the training process. Communication patterns are the focus of research in this paper. This research uses field research methods where subjects are researched through interviews, observation and documentation. Using cybernetic theory, researchers examine the relationship between communication patterns and the training process towards the 4.0 era. The qualitative descriptive analysis method was used to analyze the data collected from the research. The results of the research show that there are four patterns of caregiver communication in equipping caregivers for the 4.0 era, namely a) wheel pattern, b) star pattern, c) individual communication, and d) group communication. 2) Factors that support the process of providing foster children include availability Wifi facilities and proximity to foster children. Meanwhile, the factors that hinder this process are the lack of Smartphone facilities so they have to take turns using them. The research is expected to be able to contribute to the development of communication science in the future.

Abstract

Two years before the presidential candidates general election 2024 in Indonesia. There are so many presidential candidates nominated by political parties that are discussed by netizens, especially through social media by Twitter using the keywords PILPRES 2024 and CAPRES 2024.This study uses big data analysis social media research to try to understand who the presidential candidate is in forming opinions, behaviors and issues discussed by netizens or presidential voters by NodeXL of big data from Twitter. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the issue of presidential candidates that are often discussed by Twitter users or netizens 7 large clusters have the opportunity to become 2024 presidential candidates Anis Baswedan, Puan Maharani, Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo Subianto, Erick Thohir, and Gus Aos ( cleric who support Anis Baswedan to become the CAPRES 2024). Meanwhile, Muhaimin Iskandar, Ridwan Kamil, Mahfud MD, and Susi Pudjiastuti are less often talked about by social media users or netizens
